"A leak electric feeling" on ENVY 14-2136NR

Hi all

I just bought a hp ENVY 14-2136NR and I noticed something quite annoying: whenever the laptop is plugged into the wall outlet and I touch the case (the back of the screen), or any metal part (around), I get this feeling through my hand buzzing or vibration.

It is not due to the vibration of the internal component but clearly electricity since it stops when I unplug it and also happens when touching metal parts. It is strong enough for my girlfriend to feel everything by touching my skin while I have my hand on the laptop.

I noticed one interesting thing is that it stops if I use a grounded plug. The problem is that I have only 1 store of this kind in my house.

I know it's an electricity questions but maybe someone knows or maybe someone experienced something similar.

Is that a danger to health?

It damages the computer overtime?

I think to return the laptop now, it's a shame because I really like it. However, I feel that it is not limited to this laptop only, maybe even any laptop with metal surface would have the same problem?

Thank you!

I recommend you contact support phone HP about it because there is not much that can be done about this on the forum. The number of support if you are in the USA is 1-800-474-6836.

The beauty of small portable devices, is that in the past, we did a lot of larger machines.  The raw materials for an individual player is only a fraction of what will be needed for a single device.  No vacuum tubes and transmitters of thorium, filled with oil in transformers and large masses of resin and other.

  • This Bios is not for your laptop!

First I started having this massage of error at startup 'System Fan (90 b)'

I searched HP's site and found several tips to resolve this.

one of the tips was to check your Bios version and to the most recent update.

    I followed the steps carefully.

1 check my bios version / date.

    2. check my cpu model.

3 open the HP website and let it detect my laptop model (and it does correctly).

    Laptop HP ENVY 14-2136nr
    Model: LM764EA #A2N

    4 select my operating system (Windows 7 X 64)

5 - Check the Bios Driver and download it.

6 - everything seemed perfect and once I try to install the driver I get this massage of error (this bios is not for your laptop!)

    HOW IS IT?

    HI @ibraham-hashem.

I see that you have a laptop of HP ENVY 14-2136nr and that you receive 90b fan error. One of the suggestions is update the BIOS, but when you tried you have received the message that it was not for your laptop.

First of all, I ran the HP Support Assistant to help with updates and solve problems.

Have you checked against viruses and malware?

I try to restore the bios, and then retry the update. Restore the BIOS

If it is not successful, I would go to the bios screen, and when you look down, you should see an option to restore the default values.  Please restore the default values.

Now, try to install the update to the bios.  Updated the BIOS

    I hope this helps.

  • Old switchable graphics a no go for Windows 8.1?

Hello, I recently read on a few surprising problems faced by users with switchable graphics. Users who want to improve their Windows 8 machine with the next free update (Windows 8.1) must update their graphics drivers.

The problem is some users came from Windows 7 on older machines of Windows 8 and HP gave what they needed to get Windows 8 running; no other updates for most of the machines.

Can someone on HP support address; older users of the GPU will be left in the dark, when Windows 8.1 arrives or new drivers will come the same machines that I have them last time?

I use the Envy 14-2136nr with the switchable map 6630 m.

  • HP Envy 6 t-1200 Ultrabook: SPACEBAR does feel not "catchy".

The space bar does not feel like the other keys. Usually, when we press a key of the chiclet keyboard, it has a bit of resistance until he goes down.

When I press on my space bar, it descends just without any of this little resistance before going down; I can barely hit him and he will enter a space. The key is not stuck down or anything. It rises to the top as it should. He has simply not click for her.

I wonder if it's supposed to be like that or not. I chatted with HP Support and they said this is supposed to be like this, but I'm not too convinced.

    itsKhang,

I suggest call HP and bring up the keyboard.

Since you are sending in a short period of time, you should get expedited shipping, so you will get the unit back in about half the time.

Sorry to hear that they do not repair.

I would like to know how everything goes.

  • HP Envy 2136nr: IDT Beats Audio - release system

Hi, I'm having some trouble using Windows 8.1 with the latest audio drivers for my machine (8.1/64-bit Windows ~ sp63555). I did not notice problems when I installed it initially, but now, I feel the random system crashes when the machine is audio playback. For example, play youtube videos or a playlist of music it can freeze for 15 seconds when trying to play every three videos/songs.

The verification tasks manager reveals that he, "Windows Audio Device Graph Isolation" the help of ~ 100% of my band hard drive bandwidth.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling my drivers but the effect is always the same. However, I noticed that using the machine without drivers HP I don't seem to have the problem more (but could not use the headphone or mic ports).

Y at - it a newer version of the drivers that doesn't have this problem?

I wanted to just come back and say, I finally found a solution to my problem (for someone else who might stumble upon this thread in the future).

After removing the drivers IDT and Beats Audio of my machine software is uninstalled, it works now. It seems I missed uninstallation of software then the first Beats which caused strange behavior with the headphone/mic port.

Actions Windows drivers work fine and I have more any stall or delays playback (Windows Audio Device Graph Isolation/audiodg.exe) system. The sound quality is more or less the same as before and the acoustic Panel now has access to the tab of the unavailability.

  • Envy Touchsmart K204TX: Envy K203TX recovery disks can be used to retrieve a K204TX feel like?

Hi, the first thing I did when I got my Envy cell phone, K203TX, was to create a set of recovery disks.

Then I discovered that the laptop has several questions.

HP sent me a technician on-site, and technology, said these problems were caused by a material defective number (display board, motherboard and the case has a defective battery lock). It helped me to return the laptop as DOA.

The problem is, HP store couldn't make me K203TX one another, I paid like $150 and upgraded to a fancy K204 TX.

I have now the 204TX and this laptop has no problem at all, it's as good as it can get.

My drive recovery K203TX of envy is always with me.

Question > can I use these discs to recover my K204TX disaster? Or I'll throw these drives and create a new set of recovery disc for this computer?

  • HP 4500 Envy: "HP Envy 4500' prayer or do not feel

Hello, I had a recurring problem with my HP Envy 4500 while trying to print double-sided PDF files. When I print the PDF with Adobe Reader, it seems to print fine, but later I realize that certain lines were left while the rest of the text printed fine. I am printing the child math book, and because it seemed that the page was printed very well but I knew that more late missing things in the page (after that I had already paid to have the spiral it all related )

Switch to Mac preview to print the PDF, I don't have the problem of the lines being omitted, BUT usually only about half of the document will be printed before you cancel itself, or starts printing the wobbly pages. For example, last night I printed 100 pages double sided very well and then it suddenly cancelled work. When I sent it to print again, it would do only a few pages (refused to double-sided more) and they all had this Burgundy/green/purple bar at the top.

I turned it all off last night, came back this morning and it does the same thing. I installed the new ink, downloaded the latest drivers, updated all the software, restart the computer, and it always does. This happened to me before and for some reason it will stop eventually and print what I want, but in the meantime I'm wasting a LOT of paper, a lot of ink and a lot of money because I pay on the instant the ink program page. It's extremely frustrating. Any suggestions?

Have you installed the HP software from a disk or download it (look in your Applications folder)?

    If so, uninstall it.

Then download and install this: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907

    Restart your Mac.

    Now, reset the printing system:

-Go to System Preferences > print & Scan
-Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!
-Select the sign more to add a printer. Select the default tab on the top of the window. Search for the printer, select it, and then beside the dropdown 'Use', select the model of the printer (not AirPrint). Wait for the 'Add' button becomes available. Until it clicks.

Try another application to see if you have the same results.

  • HP ENVY 5530 e-all-in-one: cancellation of registration - can I keep feeling with these cartridges?

I'm about to cancel my subscription to instant ink I have don't print enough to justify maintaining the subscription (2 pages this month, 0 last month, you get the point). When I cancel, can I keep these cartridges and keep printing from them after the end of the billing cycle? Cartridges still have ink in there and I don't want to go out and buy new if I can continue to use these. You don't know exactly how it works.

    Hi @morgdod.

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support. I understand that you would like to know if you can use/keep the cartridges instant subscription after the cancellation of the instant the ink service. I would like to help.

Instant HP ink cartridges do not work after the end of your current billing period, and you will have to go back to HP. To continue printing after the end of your billing cycle, make sure you have ink of standard replacement cartridges ready to the use of your printer.

This link will have more information. Ink HP Instant - cancel your instant ink HP Service.
