A link to a PDF document?

Is it possible to make a link to a specific bookmark in a pdf document?

I tried to bind (for example) to "paris.pdf #chapter3" having previously set a bookmark "Chapter 3" at the appropriate place, but it does not work. I just go at the beginning of the entire document as usual.

Suggestions, please?

That you have to change something on PDF page 3. You do that back in the authoring application (i.e. Photoshop Elements). You are doing a fresh PDF it. A "newPage3.pdf" If you want to.

Open the PDF with Acrobat Pro and use the replacement page function to replace the old page 3 with new page 3. All annotations (PDF links are "annotations") will still be present because they 'float' on the content of the PDF pages.

You may need to use the Connector tool to shift notes link in the desired position, if the content of the underlying page has changed just because of your changes.

  • Links in a PDF document.

I am creating a PDF with Acrobat Pro 10.1.12, with links to other inside PDF files. But there's a catch. I need to be able to use these PDF files and links on different machines. When I create everything on my computer, it works perfectly. If this isn't a problem. The problem is to get that they work on other computers. I'm trying to use DropBox to store my files, so that they would have a central location. But no matter what I try to do, the link will always be my local computer. I don't know if it's a question of do not use DropBox correctly or the way Acrobat creates links. When I open the DropBox folder, the files are the location of C:\Users\bhouk\Dropbox\Test. So, whenever I create a link, this is the address that it uses.

I'm really at a loss here and I don't know if what I said makes no sense. If you could help me, I would be very happy.

When you create a link in Acrobat to another file it's relative by default.

which means that it points to the relative location of this file in the

location of the "main" PDF file If you move then the two files to another location

(a different folder on the same computer, or even another computer) and

maintain their location relative to the other, and then the link should always

work. This will not be the case, of course, if you share files online.

In this case, you need to use the URL links, not links to files.

  • a link to a PDF in Rh10 WebHelp

I have a .pdf file that I want to "display" when selected in the table of contents.  I'm working on several projects to support online products in RoboHelp 10.  Two of the products use HTML Help and generate. CHM files for them.  One of these projects has a book with a page that links to a .pdf file in the folder of hatracks.  After the. CHM file is generated and I click on the Page (with the link), it pulls up the .pdf document in the window where the help text appears generally.

I want to do this same thing in RoboHelp 10 in a WebHelp project.  I implemented the same way as the other project is implemented for this book and page.  The .pdf is in the baggage files folder and the link Page pointing to it there.  I then save and generate and view the results and AM NOT ABLE to pull up the .pdf document.  I then generated a. File CHM of the same project and WAS ABLE to get back the .pdf document (so that tells me that it is set at least in the same way as my other project).

  • How to maintain links into a Word document into a PDF file?

I just bought and installed Adobe Acrobat Pro DC on my Lenovo ThinkPad E555 running Windows 10.

The only reasons I bought 10 Acrobat is because my old version of Acrobat 7 cannot be installed on the new machine because you have turned off the phone as the lineage of the old product.  Acrobat 7 had a great feature that I use all the time - it allows me to make a PDF of a MSWord document that preserves embedded HTML links that would work in the PDF document.

Now that I have installed Pro DC, I can't figure out how to make a PDF that retains links to MS Word.  For example, if I type this:

http://www.ClickShare.com making the PDF with this clickable link.  But if I type:

Clickshare Service Corp..  (with the embeded link) it will support only forward.

Unfortunately, Acrobat Pro DC is useless for me if he won't and I'm going to uninstall it and bring the disc to the retailer for a full refund.

Please explain to me how to activate this feature. I have to nose around the unofficial forms and find other people with the same problem.

I would be recognizing an email from Adobe technology: [email protected] (Bill) you will see that I am a registered user of a current product, so please help me out here.

  • Creating PDF with a page of my PDF links I can't scroll or view, PDF document jumps to the next page. Help!

    Hi Forum,

I created a page 14 PDF with Adobe Acrobat XI. When I try to view the page 13 (scrolling or just by clicking on the thumbnails page) it jumps more than 13 or 14 or goes back to 12. It started after the creation of links in the PDF file in the pages of 2nd and 3rd to some page views. Is there a maximum? Right now, I have about 20 or more in the document. I updated Adobe and restarted my machine. Same problem exists. Thank you!

Too bad! I just thought of it. I had a link on the page which, for some reason, was set to open up to page 12. Not sure how it happened. Oy!

Thanks a lot for your help.

While the implementation of the links, if you choose to open the file in a new window then you will not experience this issue, then you can simply switch to the file view and previous bookmark will remain as it is.
