  Planning your Partitions

  The Question

  Partitions, how much should I have on my hard drive, what do I use
  each of them for, and what size should each one be?

  It s a common question, but unfortunately this doesn t have a
  only simple, just answer to all the world. A lot of people will respond with
  the way they do, but their response isn't necessarily best for the
  person seeking (in many cases it isn't right even for the person)

  Terminology

  First, let's rethinking the terminology. Some people ask "should I".

On another host esx 4.1 with a similar configuration command df shows partition/Boot resides on the device/dev/sdd1 while other partitions as root/var/log are located on/dev/sdeX devices. After having investigated further, I found that/dev/sdd is a local protected by car while/dev/sde does not match any network SAN or raid connected locally to the readers. Tomorrow I will try to boot from the esx installation media and see if there is something simillar to rescue mode and try and do something here. I have no idea what to do if it won't help. In the hope to hear a good advise to you guys!

• Why Windows Media Player is a little slower at the opening of the media?

  Hi all

  Today, Windows Media Player has been a bit slower... Why? I do not know.. I scanned for malware, spyware and viruses and there is nothing... I discovered that this isn't my PC, or my windows... It seems that it is in all Versions of it... I tried other players, they were all very good... Now what am I supposed to do?

  Description of the LAG: it takes longer to open/load a simple media... Either when I opened my playlist, get to the next/previous track, and at the opening of any media what to choose in the list...

  Any help is appreciated...

  If so, then

  Method 1: Do check the disc and see if it helps.

  How to perform disk error checking in Windows XP

  Warning of Chkdsk.

  Important: When running chkdsk on the drive if bad sectors are found on the hard drive, then chkdsk attempts to repair this sector. If no data is available while data may be lost.

  Method 2: disable the Audio improvements and see if it solves the problem.

  r: right-click on the "speaker" icon and then click playback devices.

  b: select speaker, and then click Properties.

  c: then click on the highlight tab.

  d: then check Disable all improvements.

  Method 3: update the last audio driver on the computer manuafcturer site.
