• Creating a string of bits to send through questions series VISA, complete noob here...

  I'm trying now, to browse the values I have on my collection of GUI and with these, construct a message to send through VISA.

  I have the usb-> rs232 cable and NO, and I have attached a connector, with the pins 2 and 3 tied together so that I can loopback and see the messages I send.

  I'm supposed to (from the instructions that I read on a design doc) will send a message of length of 24 bits.

  And please bear with me, I've never worked on this low a level before, nor with the serial interfaces, so I can be completely off on how I'm doing... and this is my

  first really relay with LabView for this project.

  I have some time execution of every 20ms in a loop.

  I have a structure of the event looking for user actions on my front.

  I also breast that everything in a loop, a flat sequence structure... my assumption was, every 20ms, the flat sequence structure would run, except where it is interrupted by an event... that could trigger and then continue with the flat structure...

  I have seen that the entry VISA (and read) take a string.

  So, I started the flat structure with build my string of bits/bytes outgoing... first section is coded hard and then, through the two sequences, loop it and based on the values of the controls within each cluster, I concatenate to my outgoing string... in which case, I send by the visa by the closure, and post it on the message indicator.

  It seems that I can send on only 8 bits at a time through VISA... so, I try to understand (and I wonder people with the req on this part) why they said to send such a long chain... or am I supposed to send each message of 8 bits, one at a time?

  If one bit 8 message at the same time, I wonder how I have let him know when I am finished?  I have heard and read things about start and stop bits, but I don't know where to put them.

  In addition, is the string that I'm supposed to put them together to send something waiting for data series bits/bytes? I saw a reference to a string of bytes while the research, but I Coulnd't ' t find a piece of string byte on the pallets.

  And when I run the present (a simpler example of my real application, simply to show here the parts I am trying to figure)... the message echoing again to me is:

  111000010000\n

  When if I have all the tubes with a value in them... I want to get something new like:

  1110000111111110111111110\n

  I'm also noting that messages do not seem to be transmitting every 20ms... seems only to get a message back when when I trigger an event, as the option switch on the LED.

  In any case, I'm confused, I think that, on certain basic principles and hope someone can maybe send me some links or give me some advice on where I'm wrong so seriously...

  Is my construction of the right to follow path string message?

  Is something wrong with the flow of the program... the events + flat sequence structure?

  Your sequence structure is not necessary.  You have a dependency on the data, as well as the structure of sequence is not really do anything for you.  Seems to me that what you want to do is to build the table of your clusters that you already own and send the table directly in a > 0? function.  It will accept berries and an array of Boolean output.  You can then use the Boolean array to the Number function to create a U8.  Do this for each of your clusters and integrate the results in a table of U8 and fixed data.  Then use the array of bytes to the string function to get a string to pass in the VISA to write it.  Without loops or the necessary structures.  Any additional manipulation you need, I recommend to the byte level.

• Noob here asking for help to make sure audio for my film is properly controlled

  I have learned through diving into things, I look at and discuss and I'm at the point of worrying about audio and hoping someone can give information me on the proper action to take.

  I'm cut a 25 minute film on first CS5.5 together and of course I hearing. I have many many audio clips that you can imagine. I wonder the basic procedure as to what steps should I take to make sure this sounds as good as possible. I read a few tutorials on hearing but honestly don't know enough about the concept of sound to understand if the steps in one of the tutorials related to my particular case.

  Basically I want all levels of volume to be standardized in all areas. I know it can be done at the hearing and would be delighted if someone could give a step by step on how to do it properly. I guess I'm shooting for the max peak - 6 standard, but still don't know what options to select in the process to ensure that it is properly defined. I don't know yet how to correctly select the clips I want the effect applied to... I tried to make a match of volume in excerpts of hearing, but I did it by hilighting the fasteners with the mouse by dragging them in the timeline, and I think although the corresponding pop-up window of volume asked on the contrary I find these clips on in the files to the left window. I pressed the batch and it processed some defniitely THING but I don't know what. I hope that the program has no need for me physically click files in the left window really and what he will accept what is hilighted just that it would be a nightmare trying to sort hundreds of clips.

  Also, I don't know how to make the edition in hearing clips youre to apply the changes to the timeline of the first, when working with dynamic linnk. Just save?

  Hi Velzz,

  If you have reached photo lock in first - you are done editing the video and are now audio mastering - this is a fairly simple procedure.

  In the first sequence, choose change > edit in Adobe Audition > sequence... and allow the first generate an exchange of session and open it in hearing.  You can make a video reference to make it more simple, but it is not a necessary step.  What we'll do here is not directly edit the clips in the timeline of the first, but generate new clips for a hearing session, then sending rendering, stems under control to first to replace the audio existing.

  Once this sequence opens in Audition, select the clips you want to normalize - these would probably only voice and no music - clips and a right-click and select Match Clip Volume in this menu.  You will be able to select a level target to all standard staples.  You may need to follow-up by adjusting levels or mix according to your needs, but it must get all the clips to a relative level if you're not wild adjustments.

  When you're happy with the mix, choose multitrack > export in Premiere Pro... in the menu.  You can send back individual tracks or buses rendered as full-length stems or the master to 5.1 stems, stereo or mono output.  First will import these and allow you to place them on the new audio tracks of your sequence.  cut the original audio tracks and you should be ready to export your final product.

  To attack the buzzing/hissing sound, you'll want to sample the noise reduction / effects of the restoration.  Hiss reduction should be blocked of any standard whistle while you can try the DeHummer tool to remove electric snoring and harmonics.  You might have luck with the tool of the noise reduction for these operations as well - find an audio region that contains JUST the sound, just snoring (or both), select it and choose Capture noise print the form from the context menu.  Open the Noise Reduction effect and preview/adjust until finding the proper balance of noise reduction without affecting your real audio signal, then apply.

• Cluster of Noob absolute questioning

  I put VmWare ESX 3.5 server in place. It currently houses 3 servers windows 2003 K (13:00, 1 trade, 1 Citrix). We have just experienced a situation where this server crashed (power pulled the MB) and we have been down for a week. It is a small handful of users (total 20-30 user). If we ask what would be the best way to go to try to get zero downtime for these virtual servers. There has been discussions about adding a SAN and another virtual server with a kind of failover cluster. Being not very familure with VMware, I wam wonder if is no longer kill him for this small of a set to the top.

  So I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or ideas for the best way get times of reliable operation with minimal to zero downtime.

  I try to combine a slideshow of some tutorials I've read.  Individually, I can call at random an element of an array (a list of names of files in the same folder as the flash file); and load an image on the stage with AS3.  When I try to combine the scripts and running it with a timer I was make a variety of errors.  This particular permutation gives me the error:

• NOOB on P2V question

  Thanks in advance for any input-

  NOOB here after having downloaded and saved a VMware vSphere on a single server hypervisor (quad core Xeon 22 Gb ram 4 NIC and disk of 1 TB Raid 5). First attempt, use the converter stand alone on my PC. Worked perfectly. Then Server #1 Windows 2003 SP2 on IDE drive. A ran "Convert the Machine" even under XP. BSOD on startup. No safe mode. Attempted to change Boot.ini od but file was accurate. Reran conversion more than 2 times the same result. Then, the server #2. Once again Win 2003 SP2. Ran "convert to Machine. Web information found and ran "Configure machine" after sysprep installation correct files including install VMware tools. Exact same results except that now I get a VM splash screen before auto BSOD then reboot. Able to access safe mode. BSOD before anything else. What the hell I'm missing?

  In the converter (step 3) wizard select 'trick' and the "disk controller" the value of "Preserve the Source" "LSI Logic.

  I'm a noobie here, and I want to put a 256 GB SSD in my HP P7-1227.

  Not sure if you are still looking for this answer, but it is very likely that your computer uses only two Sata 2 ports. One for the hard 1 TB and one for the DVD player. If you plan to add a disk, you can also open the computer and find to ensure that the ports are not in use. Also if you need more Sata ports, you can install a Sata card in one of the PCI Express slots.

• Micro SD XC questions - can not read video files

  Please forgive me for being a noob here on this forum. I did a search and could not find any info on my problem, so I'm posting here now...

  I have bad to write video files (MKV, MP4, etc.) to the external mic card SD XC that I use with my SanDisk Media Player. The first few files that I am writing to transfer SD card and play well on the media player and my PC (I use VLC). After about 10 GB or more data has been transferred to the card, copy the files, but they will not play. VLC tells me that he does not support the video format "undf".

  I use a SanDisk 64 GB micro SD XC card spec'ed at 30 MB/s (in the format exFAT). I have two of these cards and they both have the same behavior. I also tried the HC cards (formatted NTFS) 128 GB at the same result. Nothing seems to work as expected. What I'm doing here wrong or missing? I faced this problem for weeks and its driving me crazy!

  where did you buy in origin? packaging for fake cards look pretty true these days. You can contact sandisk support and they can help authenticate cards.
