Envy 17-j051ei ssd compatibility list?

Hello

Could you please send a list of compatible SSD, including who would recommend HP.

Kind regards

Hello

HP has not tested it for your model except 24GO & 32 GB mSATA hiding SSD, which cannot be placed in the system up to 8GB of RAM & I guess that yours has of 16 GB.

Go through this manual: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03922401.pdf

But this does not mean, you can't replace it, there is no problem in the upgrade in the SSD HARD drive.

I love Samsung SSD EVO and is considering upgrading my system.

Hello. My MacBook is early 2009 with 2 GHz Core 2 Duo, 4 GB of RAM, 120 GB hard drive. Now OS x 10.6.8 but intend to upgrade to El Capitan.

I want to spend my hard drive to a Solid State Drive. Transcend SSD370S series is available in my place.

Can I use the SSD of 256 GB of this series on my MacBook with no problems?

Here is the link for the site of Transcend. Compatibility list on their Web site does not include Apple laptops.

    Thank you.

I have a Macbook in early 2009 and put a Samsung (pre Evo) 840 SSD inside and the speed is incredible, it feels like a brand new computer. Your Macbook has a Nvidia MCP79 SATA 3 Gb/s controller and there is a conflict between the controllers on some SSD only allowing them to operate to SATA 1.5 Gb/s, so you must be careful 6 Gbps. The conflict I know with certainty is with SSD using a Sandforce controller, but recently posted one here in their car with a controller Marvell only running at half speed so there may be others. TranSend uses what they call a TS6500, which is actually a renamed SiliconMotion SM2246EN controller and I can't find the evedience either way if it will work with the SATA 3 Gb speed with the Nvidia controller. Confused yet? I think that the essential is that we put 2015 (2016 ok) technology in 2009 computers and computer terms this year 6 scale is enormous, there may be incompatibilities. Probably the BEST way to avoid is to find a 3Gb SSD or a 6 GB SSD that is guaranteed to work in your Macbook. OWC has a line of 3 GB disks, which are more expensive but guaranteed to work http://eshop.macsales.com/

If you have to pay a little more to get a compatible drive, it is well worth. Add SSD to my Macbook and my iMac end of 2009 were the best computer improvements I've ever done.

    Thank you

    Hello DI3HARD139,

I'm afraid there is no Super detailed for this unit available compatibility list, however there is an ' information processor upgrade"section describing what CPU of the series which you are able to upgrade to.

Look in the next page and expand the processor upgrade information section.

  • Re: Satellite L300D-242 - CPU compatibility list

I was a big fan of toshiba with 3 in the House, but when I come to upgrade the processor, I hit the wall a little. I have the most up to bios date on my 242 l300d pslc8e-06H013EN and I thought I was not looking for a laptop, an upgrade of the processor was option right ahead.
I tried a zm-82 amd dual core as an upgrade for my TR-42, but the system does not even start.

    Q. has anyone had a successful that laptop upgrade or is there a cpu compatibility list?

Zm-82 was a tenner and I went back, but if there is a dual core I can slot, it is much cheaper to replace a good laptop.

I look forward to see if anyone has any advice.
P.s. I did research the dual core, it wasn't a random purchase.

Generally upgrade CPU on Toshiba laptops is not supported so there is no such list.
What you can find is an official document on the CPU and GPU upgrade - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9401AX0001R01.htm

From time to time theme on CPU upgrade is very real fact on this forum, that you can try to get such threads and try to know what other people write about. Do it with advanced search option.

Let's see if anyone else has good experience with the upgrade of CPU on L300D.
He must have a platform AMD, right?

Original title: where to find and use the Windows (HCL) hardware compatibility list

    HCL for Windows xp3

That does not "response" from MS Support Engineer Umesh was particularly useless.

Unfortunately for you, the HCL XP (or Windows Catalog or Windows Marketplace or whatever it is renamed) no longer exists.  I guess Microsoft is not particularly interested in letting you know what the material is compatible with an operating system that is no longer, it sells and supports only.

The trail begins here: "the latest Windows XP Hardware Compatibility List" (314062 KB) that leads to theWindows 7 Compatibility Center.  KB 314062 is also linked to the http://www.windowsmarketplace.com/ which used to have a list of compatible with XP hardware and software, but now redirects to the Microsoft store, another dead end that XP is concerned.

If you really want to dig, your best bet is probably used the Wayback Machine (archive.org) looking for old copies of

http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/hcl/default.mspx - but a lot of links are broken or "not supported" unless you use Internet Explorer 6 (the message claims 6 'or more' but 8 does not work).

    Hello

This notebook is without a doubt SATA III. The size is more or less in your pocket. I prefer Corsair or readers Intel but Samsung and Kingston were also a few good products. I generally recommend buying any SSD with SandForce SATA controllers that readers have faster speed writing and in my opinion even better reliability.

  • SSD compatibility w/PERC S300 RAID?

We have an old PE T110 first generation with a PERC S300 RAID controller and 4x250GB drives. However, because the controller is older, there isn't much documentation about SSD compatibility. Does anyone at - he had success the upgrade of any server/workstation using a PERC S300 with an SSD of any kind in a RAID 10 configuration?

Finally, I don't remember what type of connector is on the existing disks and am a little confused about the difference between SATA and SAS. What normally comes stock with this system and which would need if I moved to SSD? New cables? Anything else I need to know?

    htc2010
is it not reasonable to assume I could just as easily swap on each drive in the Bay, one at a time, with a SSD?

You cannot mix SAS and SATA drives in the same array. Also, you cannot mix HDD and SSD. If SSD does not support the S300, then he cannot know the difference between a SATA SSD and a SATA HDD, so it can work, but 1) I wouldn't rely on it and 2) just know that real RAID controllers, it can be done.

In the end, I don't know if she will achieve your goals. The reason why I asked is because you could just add the SSD as a new VD, then move the files of database, etc. on to improve the speed, but it sounds like a lot of work for little return. I just invest in a backup recovery solution, good. If it can work in a virtual environment?

  • The guest OS compatibility list?

The operating system compatibility page invited (http://www.vmware.com/resources/compatibility/search.php?deviceCategory=software) do not player list. Is there one for her?

According to this: http://www.VMware.com/support/WS80/doc/releasenotes_workstation_803.html , the workstation supports Ubuntu 12.04 invited since 8.0.3, but do not mention for Player 4.0.3 and 4.0.4 release notes support comments Ubuntu 12.04. I have a workstation license used on my desktop but I would use the same Ubuntu 12.04 comments on some portable computers using player.

I had always thought Workstation and player have been substantially the same under the hood with the player having some restricted features, but I guess that is not. It would be nice if there were a host and guest OS compatibility list for player as well.

I can't tell you for sure, I think that this is not mentioned in the notes of the player. From what I understand so far, VMware Workstation and VMware Player supports the same host and the guest operating system.

Are you having problems with VMware Player and Ubuntu 12.04?

    Possible unmanned as printers scanners?

If a user can move to different places throughout the day, their persistent desktop session auto discover the printer in their current location?

1: I have never seen a list of compatibility for Thinprint, but I guess that most of the printers will work without problem.  We have at least 20 different types of printers and the only one I ever had problems with was the Xerox Phaser.

2: I guess it depends how you try to map the scanner.   If it's a multi function printer/scanner/fax that it can work, but if you try to use the USB redirection, then he's going to need a driver.

3: in my limited testing, it should work without problems.  Actually I stole just my poster session that was on my desktop connected to my laptop and it mapped my unique portable printers.
