Since you have already apparently a licnese to Home Premium, you could buy an upgrade, and then create a repair install with the new key.

If you bought a full Pro license, you will be able simply to insert your new key and activate that.

Impossible to change the product key for Windows 7 Home Premium after having received notification that Windows is not geniune

I have no idea how the product key has been changed to my OS to an OEM_SLP as I have the genuine key supplied with the system on the COA label.

I bought this system through Best Buy and today I received a notice that it uses a non-genuine version of Windows 7 Home Premium, but when I noticed the wrong product key, I have been unable to return to the good pair through my computer properties in the Activation of Windows.

So I recently brought a computer gateway two months ago with Windows Vista pre-installed on my computer. He had a problem some time ago, and a friend fixed my computer for me but in order for him to correct that he had to hold the operating system (Windows Vista) power off and turn it back on. I don't know what else he did to remedy, but it was working fine when I came back. He worked for several weeks to date. At the command prompt, type enter this hit "slmgr.exe /upk". then type "slmgr.exe /cpky" press enter then type "slmgr.exe /rearm" when you restart you will be asked to enter the key. Enter one on the sticker on the side of the computer. You should be good. WARNING If you do this and the key is not software then maybe you victum of pirated software. Really, it seems that your friend has stolen the key or installed a pirated version. If you do not now, it can happen again.

Programs don't return because there is more than one program that just running the main folder.

When a program installs it puts the files in the Windows system folders. If these files are not present in the active operating system, they most likely will not work. Much depends on how dependent of the program is on files in system folders.

If you have the original CD for the programs in question, re - install. Relative to the license, as long as the programs are installed and running on a single computer ONLY, there should be no problem at all...

When you program discs, there is no point in dual-boot. Don't make life more difficult for yourself...

It's what I've done all I wanted to do was to change my old email address on my windows mail to another email address.

I contacted my internet provider technical support to change the addresses e-mail & settings so I was able to access the e-mail address that I wanted to use windows mail. They tried their new settings, they recently tried, but had no luck, so they have tried using their old/normal parameters & always been unlucky? He kept coming up with an error for the two parameters & not could not send the test email that he was trying to send back to me.

The way you must have Windows Mail put in place is to use the e-mail address and other parameters as your ISP (Internet Service Provider) gives you; not an e-mail address that you want to use.

They are the ones that provide all the information for you.

You need them: parameters Username, Password, mailserver and mail out Servier
