Product ID of Windows Vista-Home Premium 2007 Service Pack 2 is with an OEM product key.

Hello & thanks to anyone who reads this message & can help.

It's what I've done all I wanted to do was to change my old email address on my windows mail to another email address.

I contacted my internet provider technical support to change the addresses e-mail & settings so I was able to access the e-mail address that I wanted to use windows mail. They tried their new settings, they recently tried, but had no luck, so they have tried using their old/normal parameters & always been unlucky? He kept coming up with an error for the two parameters & not could not send the test email that he was trying to send back to me.

My internet provider tech support guy said, maybe I had a virus (that I know that I don't have), or maybe something wrong with my settings for windows mail or something is wrong with windows or the program & contact line of microsoft support.

Microsoft technical support said they cannot help me because I have an OEM product key & if I wanted to get help through windows I had to pay money to get help or contact with this site I am trying now.

I don't know what I would do in the future? I always update my laptop with the updates of windows/microsoft who cross & always am aware constantly check & make all my microsoft security essentials for updates & scans?

I hope someone can help me with my problem & understand what I wrote?

I have to update my system or programs to have & to the best software/programs & do what I originally planned to do with my emails?

My laptop Windows is too old?

Help, please.

Thank you.

Kind regards

Kate/chamois

Hello

As Vista is preinstalled on your computer (OEM license), Microsoft charges you for support if you use them. They had good reason to send you to the Microsoft answers Forums

The way you must have Windows Mail put in place is to use the e-mail address and other parameters as your ISP (Internet Service Provider) gives you; not an e-mail address that you want to use.

They are the ones that provide all the information for you.

You need them: parameters Username, Password, mailserver and mail out Servier

Here is the information from Microsoft on how to set up Windows Mail:

You don't say which is your Internet access provider.

See you soon.

    Hi Hayekk,

There are several things to try:

    ·      Remove and then reinstall the device:

    1. click the Start button, select Control Panel, click hardware and soundand then click Bluetooth devices.

2 Select the device that is not working, and then click Remove.

    3. click on Add, press the reset button on the unit (or make it discoverable following the manufacturer's instructions), check the box my device is set up and ready to be found and then click Next.

    4. If the device is not found, repeat the previous step. When the device is found, select it, and then click Next.

    5. follow the remaining instructions in the wizard.

    ·         Make sure that the device is on and that the batteries should be replaced.

    ·         Make sure that the Bluetooth adapter for your computer is attached and turned on, and that the device is in use and detectable. If you don't know how to turn on discoverability, read the instructions provided with the device or check the manufacturer's Web site.

    ·         The unit may be out of range of your computer, or too close. Try to move closer or a little further away from your computer.

    Hello

    Maybe this can help.
Make sure that the software firewall on each computer allows free local traffic. If you use 3rd party Firewall on, Vista/XP Firewall Native should be disabled, and the active firewall has adjusted to your network numbers IP on what is sometimes called the Zone of confidence (see part 3 firewall instructions

    General example, http://www.ezlan.net/faq#trusted
Please note that some 3rd party software firewall continue to block the same aspects it traffic Local, they are turned Off (disabled). If possible, configure the firewall correctly or completely uninstall to allow a clean flow of local network traffic. If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .

When everything is OK, restart the network (router and computer).

  • How can I get a valid Windows Vista Home Premium product key for my Acer Aspire 5050?

My hard drive failed in my Acer Aspire 5050.  Replaced, reinstalled Windows Vista Home Premium with the appropriate product key, but Microsoft says that it is invalid.  Microsoft wants to buy me a new copy of Windows & there is no available from Acer for my laptop recovery disk.  What can I do?

The product key on the bottom of the laptop is an OEM product key.  This product key does not work for the commercial versions of the operating system.  The original shipping charge might work on the system without entering a product key.

If you did not, or are no longer able to get the recovery media, you will have to buy an operating system of your choice for the installation.

    Moved from Vista programs Forum.

You should have a sticker with the product key on your computer, on the bottom, or under the battery cover.  I try to type this key in and see if it accepts it.  If this isn't the case, you might not have an authentic version of Windows installed.

    Hello

You can't reinstall Vista on a recovery partition you have installed another operating system

    read this:

Solve a common problem of recovery.
If the original operating system is changed to a non - Vista OS, the Recovery Manager cannot be launched either office or by pressing f11 at startup. You can use the recovery disk to restore the computer to the original state of Vista. If you are using a non - Vista OS, you can use a third-party partition management program to recover hard disk space.

Contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

  • Valid product key for Windows Vista Home Premium

So I recently brought a computer gateway two months ago with Windows Vista pre-installed on my computer. He had a problem some time ago, and a friend fixed my computer for me but in order for him to correct that he had to hold the operating system (Windows Vista) power off and turn it back on. I don't know what else he did to remedy, but it was working fine when I came back. He worked for several weeks to date. When I switch it on now the windows activation said windows ' windows vista home premium product key you typed is invalid for activation "options to solve this problem are the following:

Access your computer with reduced functionality - this option logs not me in all takes me on the website of windows and asks me to buy new vista
    OR
Type a different product key - this option only allow me to enter some characters of my product key.
    OR
Contact dell to help solve this problem

The laptop will now only let me use the laptop internet for searching the help/customer support. I tried manually stop, however at startup comes once again with the same error. I don't know how to fix this problem, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I called the manufacturer and microsoft, but the two keep me referring to eachother, and I continue to revolve around callling in round two, nothing has been solved and no one gave me answers or resolutions

Yes I can help you.  Open an Administrative command prompt.  Under start accessories then right-click command run as administrator.  At the command prompt, type enter this hit "slmgr.exe /upk".  then type "slmgr.exe /cpky" press enter then type "slmgr.exe /rearm" when you restart you will be asked to enter the key.  Enter one on the sticker on the side of the computer.  You should be good.  WARNING If you do this and the key is not software then maybe you victum of pirated software.  Really, it seems that your friend has stolen the key or installed a pirated version.  If you do not now, it can happen again.

  • Upgrade Windows Vista Home Premium (not the valid product key problem) to Windows 7 Home premium

My friend gave a laptop computer whose OS is Windows Vista Home Basic Edition.  I format the computer and install a Windows Vista Home Premium I have for my desktop computer.  Now, I have a problem with a product key.  When I start the laptop, it indicates a product key requirement.  I enter my desktop OS product key, but I still see the declaration valid product key.  My question is this.  If I buy the upgrade to Windows 7, the operating system will work in the laptop even if she has a problem with the product key.  If I buy Windows 7 upgrade, there will be no problem with the product key?  Or do I have to buy a new Windows Vista Home Premium for the laptop?  Or if you know anywhere I can buy a product key for Windows Vista with a reasonable price?  Thank you
