A question of character of Arabic language in oracle report (PDF Format)

Hello

I m using oracle 10g R2, Oracle 10 g developer db & MS. Windows server 2003 R2.
I exported a dmp file from a database database that was running on the AR8MSWIN1256 database character set.
I created a new database and imported this DMP file in the database that has the same platform, I also put the NLS_LANG in the registry of windows as AMERICAN_AMERICA. AR8MSWIN1256, characters in database as database AR8MSWIN1256 & game as AL16UTF16 national character.

I am facing a problem
When I run any report Oracle it shows unusual characters such as Italian or German in the report (PDF format client-side)
However, when I save the data through the oracle Forms, it allows to save and retrieve in Arabic (Egyptian).
But it shows the unusual result in report

How can I solve this problem.

Kind regards

Hervé

1. go to REGEDIT ==> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE ==> ==> ORACLE ==> KEY_DEVSUITEHOME SOFTWARE

2. SELECT NLS_LANG: UNITED ARAB EMIRATES ARABIC_UNITED. AR8MSWIN1256.

3. make your regional & language settings as Arab environment.

4. set all fonts must be in Tahoma.

5 generate an RDF file in Report Builder and then convert the REX.

6. Finally the generated reports.

  • How can put Arabic language in my Web site?

    Hello

    I created an English-language Web site, I wanted to convert this Web site in Arabic language. How can we cast Arabic embeded in my Web site with CSS.

    because after the download web page come some sybol instead of my text it please help me

    Mano (?) Hello,

    as you can see, my approach allows two encodings of different characters on my site.

    On the other hand, I want to focus on a broader question:

    • You can specify the font scheme that uses the site. In the case of Arabic, you have two options, first is in format Unicode (UTF-8 or UTF-16) or you are using the Arabic script looking for game iso-8859-7 (or - 6). See: http://www.w3.org/International/O-charset-lang.html.
    • It may be a problem with UTF-8 and UTF-16. UTF - 8 requires 8 bits per character, then are thus 256 different characters and so it could be is not enough for Arabic. UTF - 16 is two bytes for each character, and so we have 65536 different possible characters.

    • If you apply the Arabic script set correctly, ie you invites the visitor to install the appropriate language pack (I know, not all users install this language pack).

    • If you have no luck, your provider messed these settings on your server. So go in consultation with your provider!

    • The ability to specify the direction of each tag in CSS, for example:

      {p}
      do-family: "Arabic Transparent";
      Direction: "rtl";
      }

      I really think it would be extremely difficult.

    The best way in my opinion is - as I said before - use a simple simple text editor.

  • Arabic language in R12.1.1

    Hi all

    I install a new instance (fresh database) R12.1.1. When installing, I intend to choose the Arabic language in addition to the default American English is.

    I need to install fix NLS of R12.1.1 after installation? If so, what measures should, I run. I have to take care of the character set.

    A quick response will be highly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Muneer,

    1. when I go to OAM > License Manager > reports: the only language of licenses is English. Not all Arabic shows. I had to do it manually using the License Manager.

    You must add the Arabic of OAM.

    2. There is no AR Directory installed in APPL_TOP for none of the components of the product for example folder.

    It is expected the directories behavior AR will be created when you run the patch NLS (in R12, RapidWiz does not create directories, unlike the 11i AR).

    I wonder what that install fast actually do when we choose additional language during installation.

    Nothing more, than most of the steps must be applied once you are finished with the installation.

    Thank you
