A single graphics card inactive?

Hello

I have a mid 2015 Macbook Pro retina display with two graphics cards. The card is the Radeon R9 M370X AMEND and the other is the Iris Intel Pro.

The thing is when I go under system information, I see that only the AMD Radeon provides my 3 monitors. I have two external monitors (connected by HDMI and Thunderbolt) and the monitor to the laptop's self. The other graphics card, the Intel Iris Pro seems inactive, do not provide all of the monitors. Is this normal?

By design, it uses only graphics at the same time. If you want to force them to use higher always performance graph, see set the graphics on MacBook Pro - Apple Support performance

  • Is it possible to add the second graphics card for this model Y510p?

I've been doing mixed responses from customer service chat lenovo so I'm posting my question here. Recently, I bought this laptop. It comes with a single graphics card. I heard this model has ultrabay and you add another graphics card. My question is - is it true that you can add a second graphics card in this system by using ultrabay? Please let me know. I'm confused if SLI and ultrabay means the same thing. If this is the case, then this system is not sli. I appreciate your help.

Also, don't forget to find the extra $20 or sometimes $50 discount code for the Lenovo y510p and apply it to the Fund. The time I bought my laptop I used the code USPY5168320, you will find a similar code if this does not work.

  • Need a graphics card to connect two monitors.

Is AMD CrossfireX and Nvidia SLI is the only way to connect two VGA?

    Original title: graphics card...

It is not no need SLI or XFire to connect two monitors. SLI and XFire are mainly to
improve performance by connecting the two cards together.
SLI, to have the same model of card when you use Nvidia IE - two GTX560ti, but apparently, you can use different templates with XFire as long as they use the same gpu (it's because they sometimes "re-brand" a gpu a series on a new map in the following series).

You can connect two monitors to a card and run games on two monitors, but the seam in the
Middle is a problem, so it is really best to go three monitors or a larger screen.
You can also run a game on one monitor and have something to open on the other.
This can also be done with two cards of different model that are not related (Nvidia or ATI).
or your integrated graphics, if you and a single graphics card.
You can also use both outputs of an integrated graphics card to perform the duties of Office Basic
    two monitors.

To use a combination of graphics card integrated on my machine, I have to set the graphic option and dedicated North Bridge in the BIOS to "Onboard" or the integrated graphics card will not work.
Also, when you use a single monitor I have to choose one or the other in the BIOS as only won't work
at the same time when you use a single monitor.  It may be different on your system.

There are different ways to use two monitors and the Setup is different between Nvidia and ATI.
I've only played with Nvidia, ATI and Intel HD4000 options, so cannot really elaborate on
    the installation options.
It is probably better to play with the settings of your cards some time control panel to
get an idea of what is what and try again forum of the mfg graphics card for more details.

can I replace a graphics card on HP Pavilion dv6-2140se If Yes, so with a single graphics card?

    Hello

97.99% (my estimate #) of the time you will have to stay with existing video card on your laptop the raison d'etre: the enormous cost of replacement, may be more expensive than buying a new machine. Your machine has a NVIDIA GeForce G 105 M, it's good, but not a machine of games by definition. You need a gaming machine to be able to play modern games.

    Kind regards.

    Riki, welcome to the forum.

The motherboard has a slot machine video PCI Express MXM.  The video cards that correspond to this slot machine are normally manufactured specifically for OEMs such as HP.  Therefore, they are extremely hard to find.  It is doubtful that an upgrade would take you considerable increase performance.  You can find these cards on ebay.  Here are the specs for the video card that works:

    * Built-in video is not available if a graphics card is installed.

  • MacBook Pro 2014 - failure of the graphics card for the 2nd time in 2 years - no guarantee

    Hi all

end of 2014, I bought a new 13 inch Retina Display MacBook Pro mid 2014 model (A1502, EMC2875). A few months later, the graphics card has failed - no obvious reason. Apple replaced. Now, the graphics card has not yet. Still, the mac worked perfectly well (no overheating of the noise, nothing) and all of a sudden - no understandable reason or external actions, the graphics card has failed. Unfortunately, I do not have a guarantee of more. At least, I can access my documents by connecting two Macs, so I hope that the material is not affected.

My model (1502) apparently only has a single integrated graphics processor.

    My questions:

    • After some research, I discovered that Apple used to have these problems with the 2011 edition. They have implemented a replacement program. Does anyone know sth on this subject?
    • What graphics card would you recommend? How much such a graphics card? Where could I buy a cheap?

Of course, I don't want to reuse the same type - guess I don't have to explain how @* #&! I'm after two times the same problem within two years after the purchase of a brand new MacBook Pro...

I would appreciate any recommendations and links!

    Best regards

    Rahel

-As you say, your Mac model uses the graphics processor integrated in the CPU chip. So, there are ios no replacement possible. The CPU is soldered to the logic board

-The problem with the 2011 MacBook Pro was with the discreet Nvidia, not the graphics unit integrated in the CPU graphics unit.

  • Satellite X 200 PSPBUA-00N007 graphics card replacement

    Hi guys,.

I get the BIOS beep codes saying there is a problem with the graphics card (1 long beep, 2 short beeps), but there are two graphics cards in my computer.

So my question is, is it possible to know that one needs to be replaced?
I can find two parts online, but obviously I don't want to have to buy both if one is defective.

I tried to start the computer with the two cards, a card and without graphics card and get the same beep every time code.

Does anyone know if the computer should start with just a single card?
Because who was telling me that this is the first map, it is the problem.

I have search the Forum before posting, but could not find someone asks this question in particular, only people ask questions about the upgrade, which is not what I'm trying to do - I found the correct parts for my computer, but you should know what to buy.

    Thanks in advance

    Ben

    > but there are two graphics cards in my computer.

I guess you mean the Dual NVIDIA GeForce 8600 M GT graphics card with SLI in NVIDIA technology.
I know the laptop was equipped with two nVidia Geforce 8600 M GT graphics chips. This has been possible due to SLI technology.
The name of the graphic chip code was NB8P-GS (SLi)

    > Does anyone know if the computer should start with just a single card?
I m not quite sure all this, but I guess that this is NOT possible because of the BIOS.
The X 200 BIOS has been configured and changed for the GPU and probably another GPU usage is not possible.

    > I found the correct parts for my computer, but you need to know what to buy.
I guess all the compatible part could be ordered in the Toshiba service in your country, but to be honest, I think that this could be expensive fix and probably a new computer laptop would be a better option.
But of course this is only my personal opinion.

  • Tecra M2: Can play a game of the graphics card?

It seems that play Flight Simulator could destroy the graphics card on the laptop! I never thought this would be possible. I gave a friend my old Tecra M2 (as a wedding gift) which he also uses to play FS9. A few years ago, he had to have the motherboard replaced (Fortunately it's still under warranty then) because it has become defective. This has happened while he was playing FS9. I never thought that at that time.

It seems like the same problem comes up again, but this time the laptop isn't under warranty anymore. Nothing has been changed on the video card to "accelerate" or "chip" or another - it is standard at the factory. The latest drivers are installed for the Nvidia GeForce FX Go5200 32 M / 64 M and the portable computer has 1 GB of RAM (and a lot of space on the HARD disk).

At startup, the Toshiba logo has green vertical lines. The Windows logo also has the same symptoms, the vertical lines. I was able to boot in safe mode, a few times, then it started normally (I was onto a winner of thought), but now it seems just blue screen and reboot after Windows Logo (even if I didn't no reset in case of failure). After the reboot, I got a blue screen (BSOD not usual) with the next STOP: 0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0 x 01010101, 0xF7911378, 0xF7911074).

Any ideas? I'd be really upset if I found out that a game could physically cause a motherboard to replace on a laptop! If this is true, can someone tell me how to prevent it in the future? I have a Tecra M3 and I don't want to happen to me either!

    Thank you!

    -Emm.

    Hi mate,

the fact is that I would NEVER play FS9 even on my machine which is a Pentium 4 3.0 Ghz with 1 GB of RAM and a geforce 7800GS.
Flight Simulator 9 needs AS many system resources and in your case it s like you take 500 tons of steel and throw on a single donkey.

The M2 is a pure business machine and not scheduled to play these games like FS9 needing beasts of machines to run * correctly *. Maybe the older games are playable, but I think that it s right that FS9 could probably damaged your graphics unit (overheating).
You won´t move swap the motherboard and let your FS9 fingers when you hold an M2 or M3 or a set of non-game in your hands.

The man, who is ill, the poor M2 then FS9... :D

Clear from the statement to me: Yes, a game CAN probably damage a portable system, but not for sure! And an M2/M3 is not to play these games. Rather spent the money for a system with a Geforce 8600 Core2Dou or something similar.

    Welcome them

  • Satellite C50D - A - 13 G - compatible graphics card

    Hello

I have the Toshiba laptop C50D - A - 13 G with an AMD Radeon HD8400 graphics card. If I understand correctly it is integrated and not replaceable, however it is possible to add another card and do a single defect?

    Thank you.

Due to specific design material, update on mobile machinery is quite limited. What can be changed or upgraded's RAM or HARD drive.
Exchange GPU or upgrade is not possible.

What is the problem with your machine? I assume that you are not so happy with graphics performance, right?

  • (More)! Update graphics card issues

Hi all. I posted before with respect to the upgrade of the power supply and graphics card for my Pavilion P7-1235. I'll do it myself so I was double and triple check what exactly I want to do! I have not yet open the case of my P7-1235, but have found a few photos online. The map I set about obtaining was a Radeon 7750. However, it seems that those who are not as available as they used to be. I liked this card because it was a single one location. It seems that most cards are now double slot. Is there someone has installed a card double slot in their HP, perhaps the same model or series as mine? I was wondering how he did.  I see maybe a 7770 or 7790 would work. I get a new PSU as well and I found a brand that is the exact size of one already installed. This new will be 500 watts. I guess I'm worried buy a card and find that it is too high or too long to fit in the case. Answers or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have recommended card double slot to many members.  They are normally 1.5 "wide.  This will cover one of the PCI Express x 1 slots, but most people don't use all of them anyway.  You can measure the space where the card will fit so that you know for some.  The main concern with the video card is the length.  I would normally recommend not more than 9 ".  This ensures that it fits with room for all the connectors of power on the end of the map.

Here are two guides to help you to install the video card and PSU.  In addition, the entire section "adding / replacement of hardware" to the computer.

I just bought a new card (EVGA geforce gtx 960) to kick some butt. But during installation, it seems to be held on a black screen of death? My computer is a HP Pavilion HPE h8 - 1213c

The graphics card is an EVGA geforce gtx 960

If you have both. You can use one or. PIN 8 can be used as a 6 pin as well.

  • Qosmio F50-126: how to activate the integrated graphics card?

    Running Windows 7 on F50 - 126.
After checking my specs on the site Web of toshiba, here are the details on my graphics card: -.

    Manufacturer: NVIDIA;
type: NVIDIA; GeForce; 9700 M GTS supporting TurboCache; technology
memory: 512 MB dedicated VRAM (up to 1 791 MB of total available graphics memory using the TurboCache™ technology with 3 GB of system memory)
memory type: GDDR3 (800 MHz) video RAM (resp. RAM video and system memory combined)
connected bus: PCI Express 16 x

I want to know if I can turn on my integrated graphics card. I know that clicking on powersave suppose to turn off my 9700 m and go to the integrated card, but the laptop did not want it actually disabled.
Like, watching a video or a game of battery the difference between "Powersafe" and "Balance" is not that much.

The computer seems to work at full power.
Because I remember when I had Vista installed, the game and used trolling videoes. But on windows 7 it doesn't. Anyone know how to activate the integrated card?

I have my computer updated completely and everthing... How d I do not know if my card is turned on or off?

    Hi mate

    I'm a bit confused of m.
    Why?
Because you ask about activation and deactivation of the graphics card (integrated).

First of all, there is ONLY a single graphic chip!
    It s a GeForce 9700 M GTS graphics card.

The graphics chip supports the 512 MB GDDR3 own (he dedicated video memory s) and it s is always available!

In addition, the chip supports shared system memory. It depends on the available main memory!

    For example:
    * With the help of Win 32 bit system *.

    System memory: * 2 GB *.
    Dedicated video memory: 512 MB
Shared system memory: 767 MB (using 3 GB of RAM you 1279 MB)
TOTAL available graphics memory: 1279 MB (1791 using 3 GB of RAM)

    System memory: * 4 GB *.
    Dedicated video memory: 512 MB
    Shared system memory: 1279MB
TOTAL available graphics memory: 1791 MB

    * With the help of Win 64 bit system *.

    System memory: * 2 GB *.
    Dedicated video memory: 512 MB
    Shared system memory: 767 MB
    TOTAL available graphics memory: 1279MB

    System memory: * 4 GB *.
    Dedicated video memory: 512 MB
    Shared system memory: 1791
    TOTAL available graphics memory: 2303

As you can see the use of Win 64-bit and 4 GB of RAM would be better for the graphics card as the use of the file Win 32 bit with 4 GB of RAM

  • HP Pavilion HPE H8-1234: Hp screen after the passage of graphics cards

    Hello

I ordered a new graphics card and the power supply about two weeks ago. When I put the new power supply in the computer, it worked fine, power supply is Corsair 600 watts. This is not the first time that I changed my graphics card and the one I have now is a PNY GeForce GT 610. I'm trying to get is a MSI GeForce GTX 950. I took it to a buddy of mine to see if the problem was with the card and it worked fine on his custom build, but when I try to put in mine all the getting is the HP logo on a blue screen reading "Push ESC for boot menu". When I Press esc, nothing happens. There are two single beeps, one about 30 seconds after you turn on the computer and another minute later, followed by the screen goes black with a underscore on it.

Any help would be wonderful that I have run out of ideas as to what could be the problem. Thank you for your time.

    VGcrazee, welcome to the forum.

I think that your new video card is not compatible with the motherboard BIOS.  960 GTX requires UEFI in the motherboard rather than a standard BIOS.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  I suggest that you check the BIOS version and contact Technical Support PNY for help.  They are the experts on their products.  It is very difficult to know which video cards more recent will work with older computers.
