  I installed a windows 32 bit 7 OS several weeks ago on my workstation Futitsu-Siemens and followed the instructions on the HP Wizard to try to install the HP Deskjet 990c printer driver for my HP 6122 printer. According to the HP Wizard, the only way to do is to update the list of printers by clicking on the "Windows Update" button in the dialog "add a printer".  I clicked on this button several dozen times in recent weeks, and every time I get the message "Windows could not get a list of devices from Windows Update. Try again later.

  I installed a windows 32 bit 7 BONES of several months on my HP laptop and the printer list updated without a hitch to include many more HP printers that are on my computer Futitsu-Siemens including HP 990c.

  What should I do?

  Here's what I found my system which is an Z210 64 HP running windows7. I just updated my Bios to v1.35

  What I did to get the update to work once and what I have to do each time to add another printer by using the Update window.

  1. open (Ctrl-Alt-Del) Task Manager

  2. click on tab of abuse, then Services button (bottom-right)

  3. under the name to find "Windows Update".

  4. right click "Windows Update" and select stop. do not close

  5. open the Exploper window and browse to C:\Windows

  6 delete the folder "C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution".

  7. go back to served, right click on "Windows Update", and then select start

  Now the "Windows Update" button should work. For me I have to do every time I have to install a printer that requires me to use windows update

  I've been looking for a solution for several weeks now. Many people seem to have the same problem. But no one has yet been able to solve the problem.

  First of all, let me clarify the problem explicitly:

  In the Add Printer Wizard: "Windows could not get a list of devices from windows update"

  Specifically, the problem is that Windows Update *broken* in the Add Printer Wizard. (Windows Update, otherwise works fine. But not in the Add Printer Wizard.)

  Find a workaround to add the printer, which mostly does not work what I have read, would be only to solve the secondary problem of the addition of this printer. Except, it would not solve the main problem which is Windows Update *broken* in the Add Printer Wizard.

  Details:

  I have been setting up three new PC running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. I had to add an old LaserJet 5if connected to a former print server. I created the IP Standard port, then clicked on the "Windows Update" button to update the list of printers. It worked on the first perfectly, as it has in the past with other computers to this place. Then I started to work on the other two at the same time. I'm lazy and started to perform several tasks such as installation of MS Office, Security Essentials (less than 10 units at this office, BTW), etc. while the Add Printer Wizard was updating the list of devices. One of these things, I can't remember which, required a reboot.

  And that is where I am certain that things broke. Restart has occurred while the two computers are in the middle of the list of loading from Windows Update System. I not interrupted the first PC. But the other two were interrupted and now they can't get a current list of Windows Update.

  I tried the FixIt tool at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058 . He says he detects a problem and claims to have fixed. Except, it isn't - little matter how many times I run.

  Ideally, the FixIt tool above must be updated or a new tool must be created by Microsoft to resolve this particular problem. Type of the error in any search engine, and you will see this question from several years back. It's happens often enough to justify the creation of Microsoft or update a FixIt tool.

  Any thoughts would be helpful.

  I have exactly and that no ONE reads what you say or what other people say everywhere. Only the upgrade Assistant printer does not... The update of the Printer Wizard do not work. Windows Update works fine.

  You are right that if few people read what they respond to these forums. That's the kind of non-response, I found everywhere on the Internet about this issue. (The value of the community is sometimes over-rated, if you ask me). Apparently, using characters fat is not enough to focus on the fact that the issue is not with the printer compatibility since, as I said clearly A) this printer has installed fine several times in the past with the same OS and in the same office and B) that I clearly THE issue is that updated the list of devices , in the Printer Wizard, *Do NOT*!

  Hi, most likely caused by one installation failed (not the Wizard), you need to do a bit of detective work, lets first try the easy solution: -.

  1. go to start, run and type regedit.

  2. go to the registry editor for

  3. click the inprogress key and note the name of the file contained on the

  right to databasepath (must be .msi extension).

  4 rename inprogress oldinprogress.

  5. close the registry editor.

  6. open my computer.

  7. navigate to C:\Windows\Installer (Installer file is hidden by)

• BlackBerry Smartphones can not get my 8330 to connect to the computer

  Hello, this is a new phone - replacement of a previous 8330.  Initially it connected very well and I downloaded the new software for it - I am running 4.5 on both desktop and handheld computer, I was able to sync my contacts and apps for the new phone - everything seemed fine.  A few days later, I connected to my computer to update my calendar and it still not connected.  When I first log in, it says as well on handheld computer and the computer on which it is plugged - then it just stops.  I know that it is connected to the computer because the computer - simply not recognize Office Manager.  I deleted the program from the computer three times now (oh yes, I tried it on work and home computers) and re-installed and nothing seems to work.  If anyone has any ideas, please help - I called Telus technical support and they couldn't tell me a * beep * thing either!

  There are several versions of the developers have decided to not auto show all toolbars. The 'Menu Bar' has become a victim of this. She has been replaced by a Menu icon, which became widely used on many sites. Unfortunately, this is not very satisfactory because some tools need the Bar Menu is visible.   IE uses another version of Flash (ActiveX), that other browsers use (Plugin); You must install the version of the Plugin for Firefox.

  The reason why it is not working in Design view - I realize now--is because Dreamweaver will not deal with this script in Design view.

  Right. This is because, it seems that you already understand this, the relative location of the css file is different from the point of view of the header file and the file parent. Because the header file is included in the parent on the server, the client then sees the css file in the wrong place.

  The solution is to use stylesheets for the time Design. It will be worth the css of the page at design time only - it will not actually insert the css file in the code. So, insert the reference of css in the header of the point of view of the parent file - index.html. Then add a design time style sheet. It should work.

  Try to load the printer driver for HP DeskJet 6122 on Win7 64-bit (Intel i7 - 2640M). All online sources, including HP say is another driver for DJ 990c driver required and is available by clicking on "Windows Update" in the dialog box, install printer driver. In doing so, always get message "Windows could not obtain the list of devices from Windows Update, please try again later".

  These steps solved the problem:

  1. open (Ctrl-Alt-Del) Task Manager

• Can not get SOAP examples to work in the console - always get "undefined".

  First of all, I am a newbie to use SOAP in general.  I was able to write a php client and a service that worked on my localhost (using WAMP) in order to get the results of a database by using a function call.  Then I tried to make it work on a PDF file on my computer (Windows 10 using Acrobat DC Pro).

  I started by trying to run some basic examples taken from "The Javascript developer's Guide", by using the console and replacing it with my own values.  But he always returned with "undefined".  So I thought I'd just follow the examples set out but had the same problem.  Since then, I've been all over the Web, look at the examples and problems of others. But I've always defined when I run the - despite other people who say this has worked for them!

  I suspect that I use the incorrect URL since it is absent in most of the examples.  In any case, using the example of base below.

  I realized what I was doing wrong in general: I was wrong with the console!  In reviewing the guide on executing code on the console (multiple lines), it states:

  In order to evaluate several lines of code, highlight the

  lines and press the Enter button on the digital

  keyboard or press Ctrl + Enter.

  I was hitting just Ctrl + Enter without bringing out the lines to run the first.  However, my sample code still did not work when I run it.  I'm fairly certain it has to do with the used cURL, because the result says "echoString is not a function".  So I hope that someone can provide a correct URL if other trouble like me with examples may benefit from.

  On a brighter note for my initial concern, I could get my PHP localhost to the recognized console service.  For anyone curious what that looks like, see the following topics:
