Ability to set the legacy of LVOOP class programmatically?

I want to schedule a class generator:

The user selects an existing class of LVOOP and the generator produced a LabVIEW that contains a new class is a class of children of the selected class previously.

Is it possible to set the parent of a LVOOP class programmatically class?

Attached, there is a VI (main.vi), which creates a new project and add two classes (Parent.lvclass and Child.lvclass). How can I change the VI, such that it makes the class Child.lvclass is a child of Parent.lvclass?

Thank you very much in advance for any help!

You use the ActiveX interface. Is there a reason for this? If you stop using the ActiveX interface and directly use the LV, LV classes have a complete set of methods/properties available.

As long as you use the ActiveX interface, I have no solution for you. Nothing about the libraries (which inherit classes LV) has already been exported to the ActiveX interface.

Using VI Server types, your code translated as indicated:

    I need to change the orientation of a slider running. However, there is no property to do - in design mode, you click on a separate 'connection' which arrives as if by magic to change.

    This magic make it public?

    Hello hgiese.

    The main part of the 'magic' that occurred is staying in the ScalePosition property.  You could imitate the action of "Reverse the Orientation" taken on a vertical slide with the following code:

  • Why the parent class does not report data for child in LVOOP class?

    Attached is a practical program that I wrote to learn about the legacy with LVOOP.

    I have the impression of OOP is a Parent class describes the type of object.  Then the children inherent description of the parent.  The child may also have additional qualities, but it still contains the description of the parent.  If a child does not have a VI bearing the same name as the parent and the parent VI will be loaded and executed.

    My questions:

    (1) why does the Parent.lvclass:Read.vi not report 'Child' in the channel indicator when the child write VI has been sent?

    2) matches the data of the child, do not at all seen by the parent company even when it has the same definition (that's the String)?  I understand that the Parent do not know anything about the unique child elements, but I think we should know about the common themes which inherited the child.

    Here is my sample code:

    These are two different sets of data. The parent class has a data set containing the string, the class of the child also has a data set containing the string, but both of these channels are separated.

    This can be made apparent, by changing the names of the channels based on their respective categories:

    What you want is for your children, class VI write to access the data of the parent class. You can do this with a simple data VI member access in VI of the child:

  • Ability to create a 'substitution VI' programmatically for a LVOOP class?

    I'm now quite a bit further with my class LV generator VI I mentioned previously (see here). However, I'm stuck again: I want my VI generator to automatically create a new 'alternative VI' (i.e., overrides a method of the parent class) for the newly created class.

    In VI server interface, I have not found an invoke node to create a new "VI to ignore." Is it possible to do, maybe with a VI wrapper like the one that I was provided to programmatically set the superclass of a class LVOOP?

    Thanks in advance for any help!

    It works more or less as you suggested, but it requires two additional steps: since the VI script that replaces the front panel control loads the original control at run time, the old class must be copied as well (and deleted again subsequently). The complete procedure (tested and functional!) is:

    1. Copy the VI to a new location.
    2. Copy the original VI class to the new location (just temporarily necessary)
    3. Add the new VI to the new class
    4. Change the input to the new class terminals using VI scripts
    5. Remove the original class to the new location of the VI

  • Side of the problem of my class setting

    Hey,.

    I'm having a problem affecting the size of my custom class, link. (Link extends Sprite)
    I have a Bitmap class added to my link course whenever one is instantiated, which takes the contents of a loader to display external image.

    I find this REALLY strange problem, but when I put the dimensions of my class of link itself:

    public class Link
    {
    public void Link()
    {
    This.Width = [number];
    }
    }

    ... it works very well with the bitmap in there and everything.

    However, when I put the dimensions of the image outside the class, an instance of the class of my link, my link disappears.

    link: link = new Link (image);
    addChild (link);
    Link.Width = [number]; * pop * disappears

    Why is this happening?
    In my project, I am making sure that the charger within my class of link has finished loading until I set the size outside of class by using the event handler for this.

    Thank you
    Andrew Merskin

    I discovered what I was doing wrong :)

    Solution:

    Resize the Sprite with the bitmap image in it AFTER the charger has finished loading the external image and it has loaded in the bitmap.
    I had my dispatchEvent (event); code before the bitmap was loaded of the Loader class.

    But I wasn't asking questions about a reservation in DHCP I was wondering how to set a static IP address on the TV itself when using the wireless network.

    Because you don't want to do it on your router, you must go into your NETWORK settings and wireless to do it on your Android TV... 'Advanced settings' allows you to choose the IP DHCP or static. Once you choose static, you can enter the number that you want to use.

    Use the main parameters at the bottom of the home page to see all the options in network. Ability to set the static IP address is here in advanced for each type of connection separately

  • Set the in and out Points of Composition

    Hello

    I'm sure that it's simple, but a new look at CS6 threw me!

    Say I created a publication named "MasterComp", which consists of several layers of images. I now want to put 100 to 300 of the MasterComp executives in a new composition named Comp01, how can I do this?

    I used simply double-click MasterComp in the project Panel, and then in the preview window set time to 100 using the timeline and click the button "to the Point". I repeat this to set the "Point" and then drag the palette of projects MasterComp in my Comp01 Panel.

    It seems there no chronology in CS6 when previewing a composition as well as the associated ability to set the point of entry/exit.

    Any guidance would be helpful.

    Hello Todd

    I finally solved. I simply need to drag my MasterComp in Comp01 and then alt + double click on MasterComp to get a glimpse of the layer, or right click and select open a layer. Now I can define entry points and.

    The first step is to download and install the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop application on your computer. The application of CC Office then handles the rest of the installation.

    You can download the installer for Creative Cloud from here:

    After you install the creative Cloud desktop application, you will need to sign in with a login password and Adobe.

  • Save the value LVOOP to the default value of the class programmatically

    Hello!

    I was stuck on this little problem for quite awhile, maybe I can't see the wood for the trees, my intention is perhaps utopian

    Here's what I want to do: retrieve the default value of an existing *.lvclass class (not), change it to some sort of Setup, and then save the back by default to the *.lvclass file (or any other).

    The only planned mounting is on changing the default value, no more, no less.

    I tried a few magic Server VI in vain (LabVIEW crashed)

    Any suggestions?

    See you soon

    Oli

    Hello Oli

    With some, as you named: "Magic VI Server", it is possible to edit the default class data and save it as the same/new class. However, there are at least three major problems:

    • This is not possible in the runtime, because it requires features available only in script development
    • If you want to save the class changed as the new class, she would need to copy all the screws and the controls of this class
    • It is simply inefficient.

    So before we go any further, could you explain more thoroughly, why would you want to? If you have two classes, which are exactly the same, but differ on data default field values, this is absolutely not a good idea and not a good software design. And relying on the default values may generally lead you to unexpected behavior of your program in the future, when you decide to change these default values.
