Abnormally large icons on the desktop.

I came home and found that my kittens had been magically something to my computer to do all the desktop icons abnormally high. I've searched high and low and still can't seem to find a solution to the normal size. I tried to change the DPI and that also didn't work. Help, please!

2. the universal remedy...

  • Size of icons on the desktop

The icons on my desktop got a huge while I was working.  I tried to change the resolution of the screen, but it has no effect.  The police is of normal size, but the icons are huge.  How to make their return to normal?

    Method One

    1 / right-click on a vacant part of the Office .

2 / in the drop-down menu , click the view option.

3 / in the context menu , click one of the following options:

    • Large icons.
    • Medium-sized icons.
    • Classic icons.

The classic icons option will reduce the size the most.

    Second method

If you really want to control the size of the icons on the desktop, then here is a tweak that is really simple to do exactly that.

1 / make sure that the Office is at the point. In other words, click the office button to bring the Office to forward (assuming that you have other programs open).

2 / place your mouse on a free part of the desktop, and then hold down the CTRL (control) key.

3 / press CTRL and hold, and then, with your mouse scroll button, scroll the mouse towards the wheel upwards or downwards to increase or decrease the size of the icons.

4 / once the icons are the size you want, release the CTRL key.

5 / your desktop icons should now appear in a more appropriate size.

  • loss of icon - missing Skype icon on the desktop

    original title: lost icon

I have windows 7 64 bit system.  Today, I noticed that my Skype icon disappeared from my office (it was not in the toolbar never).  If I go to all programs Skype appears and I can click on it to open it and it works fine.  Then I did a right click on the Skype program and send (create a shortccut).  a shortcut was placed on my desk but it a generic bit - square box icon not the original Skype icon which is a large S in a blue box.  Someone at - it no indication as to why it has gone--none of my other icons on the desktop are gone.  And I checked the trash to see if it had been deleted inadvertently.  In addition, any suggestions on how to get the icon with logo skpe back on the desktop?  Thank you.

Because it is only today, do a system restore. Pick, say, your restore point 2 days ago.

print-screen is too small to read comfortably; icons on the desktop are very large (changed by themselves in this format)

    It would be simple, but...

Left click on the desktop > press on and hold the Ctrl key and move the scroll of the mouse. Do the same with the content of the Internet browser.

See if there is a Mozilla Firefox directory in C:\Program Files (x 86). If so and there are files in this directory, you should be able to reinstall Firefox without losing your preferences.

Also, you should be able to run it by typing "Firefox" at a DOS command prompt. If it is running, then just create icons yourself.

Yes, just press and hold an application until the icons wiggle. Then you can drag and drop icons around to put in the order you choose or move to different pages. You can't however move icons to create gaps between them. They will always be positioned in the upper left corner for the first available space. Once you've converted them, you can click the home button to turn off him jiggle.

You don't say what operating system you are using, but it's basically the same procedure:

Click Start > programs > find the program in the list you want to make a desktop shortcut icon > right click on the name of the program he > then move your mouse cursor on ' send to ' > then select desktop (create shortcut), or words like that.

    See you soon.

PS You can also do the same thing with the programs listed on the left side of the start menu.

  • Unexpected icon on the desktop called Null0 and have no internet connectivity

my fathers partners last week computer has been infected by adware, which was easy enough to remove safely. But last night he told me his return (he thinks ebay.co.uk is at fault?). In any case, when I had a quick glance, there is an icon on the desktop, titled null0. # .rar, which he had never seen before. Brilliant orange white white outline of the letter X. The computer does not connect to the internet, unable to open the system restore and the pop ups are quite common. Anyone can shed light on what I can do? Also, there is little to no information around on the net to give me an overview of what this thing is and what is going on this machine.
