Accidentally delete system restore on Task Scheduler calendar

I tried to change the frequency to create a system restore point in the Task Scheduler. It is located in: Task Scheduler Library > microsoft > windows > system restore, but I accidentally delete the task (not the folder) and I don't know how to recreate. Can someone help me how to solve this problem or please post the correct setting of the task, so I can recreate it manually.

Hi Aziz Fauzan,.

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Community.

I understand that you are unable to create system restore on Task Scheduler calendar

By default, System Restore will run as a scheduled task in Windows 7.

1. open the Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Task Scheduler.

2. expand Task Scheduler Library / Microsoft / Windows.

3. scroll and select System Restore in the left pane.

4. in the right pane, double click on the task of SR to open the configuration dialog box.

5. click on the triggers tab.

6. This displays the regular settings.

7. using the buttons at the bottom of the dialog box, you can modify, delete or create a new scheduled time.

  • Accidentally deleted system preferences!

Hello, I accidentally deleted my system preferences and have read recently that I can order a new disc with my serial number, however... I didn't buy my new laptop. I bought a school that has been selling macbook air for cheap, so I would have no way to receive the disks that came with him or serial number. Please help me to recover the system preferences! Very bad with computers and have no other way to address this issue! Thank you! :))

You can only restore it by reinstalling OS X. Doing that depends on which version of Mac OS X you have currently installed but you chose not to provide this information, or what exact model of the MBA you have.

  • Vista cannot start because of accidentally deleted system files

    Hello

my laptop was working very well until some files were accidentally deleted and now Vista cannot start.
There is a message saying that I need to contact the system administrator or the manufacturer of the pc.

Is there anything you could recommend?
I would appreciate if you could help me find a way to record all of the information contained in hard drives.

    see you soon

If you are not able to boot up the laptop and refuse it to Vista to start then take recovery in hand, insert it and start on this CD from Toshiba.

Then the cell phone should boot from the recovery CD and reinstall the whole OS again.
This should help, but the HARD drive will be formatted.

  • Cannot delete the folder in Task Scheduler

I had a few problems with the tasks does not Task Scheduler, so I'll try to remove all the tasks that I added and start over.  I managed to delete all tasks and associated files except one.  I deleted the actual task, but when I try to delete the folder, I get a message that I first need to delete all tasks in this folder... but there is no task.  How can I get this folder suppressed?  Thank you.

    dcraw999,
You have tried this already (but I see not mentioned far)... On the right side of the Task Scheduler is the section actions. Try clicking view, and then click 'Show hidden tasks' and see if makes a task appears under the folder that you want to remove

If the files are deleted, then you will need to use any third party recovery software to recover files.

  • Vista Snipping Tool - accidentally deleted from the computer. How can this be restored?

I accidentally deleted the tool cutting on my windows vista computer.  I sent the tool cutting on the desk and I should have created a shortcut on the desktop. I thought I was remove a shortcut and not the actual tool. I looked on the computer of the tool, but it seems to have disappeared completely.  I can't run system restore because it was some time before I realized my mistake and you do not have a date for the restoration. Searched in the downloads of Microsoft but only capture tool is for tablets.  Please help as I really like this tool

    Hi GailWilton,

If you open your Windows Explorer program, go to the C:\windows\System32 folder, you see the file Snippingtool.exe?

If so, you should be able to right click and do a sortcut to your desktop or add a shortcut to the Quick Launch bar

Otherwise, you can try the following steps and check.

    Step 1:

Try refreshing the Snipping Tool installation. This tool is part of the Tablet PC optional components in Windows Vista.

    a. open Control Panel, click Classic view in the task pane.

    b. double-click programs and features.

    c. click on the 'activate Windows features and turn off' in the task pane.

This window may take a few minutes to display.

When the options appear in the list, scroll to the "Tablet PC Optional Components" and remove the check mark for this element.

    d. click OK, leave everything and restart the computer.

Once the computer restarts, go back to control panel and repeat the same procedure.

This time the check box adds the "Tablet PC Optional Components".

This will install these components in the system with a new copy of all the files.

    Step 2:

You also, try to run a SFC scan to check all corrupted files.

You can read the following article to launch the SFC scan:

    Herb, welcome to the forum.

I don't think that you can move the recovery partition of the USB hard disk.  The D: partition is restored when you perform a recovery of the system using the USB drive, however.

  • Accidentally deleted my photos Tksgiving. They no longer recycle bend. How can I locate and restore. Pls HELP!

I downloaded the photos from my camera and the device programmed to delete the photos when I download to the computer.   I had pictures in my photo folder and was renaming the folder, somehow accidentally deleted the file.   He went up to the curve of recycling and I thought that I restored the folder, but can not find pictures anywhere.  Please help me find my photos - otherwise they are lost forever!  Thank you very much.  Charron102

Trying to find the folder on your system by using the search engine. Otherwise, there are many pieces of software available to help recover deleted files.

However, you posted in the feedback forum. A moderator should move your thread shortly, and the experts will be able to solve your problem and, if necessary, recommend programs. I would not download any software immediately because it can be dangerous if used inappropriately, or may contain malware if illegitimate.

  • System restore recover deleted files?

Original title: Windows recovery and office productivity.

Suppose my computer hard drive is partitioned into C:\ and D:\ and sometimes I delete some files (which are not system files) in the drive D:\ (which does not contain the windows), a system restore will recover files?
Second Question: How she chooses a certain specific pages to assign page numbers to in microsoft office word 2010, assuming that I have a 20 page report and I would like to number the pages of a to the last page without the first page on the computer start?

System restore do not know or care about your personal files.

If you accidentally delete a file, and it is not recoverable from the Recycle Bin, there are third party tools that you can watch to see if they can recover your lost files.  In general data from the 'deleted' files remain on the hard drive until the premises they occupy is needed for something else, while the space where your deleted file is crashed.

Keep in mind that you "use" your disk and read/write data, less your chances of file recovery will be since XP can decide to use this area of the disk where the deleted file is.  So, if you delete something by mistake, you should try to recover as soon as POSSIBLE.

Some people have good result with this free tool (you can use Google to find others):

    Recuva

If you want to try it out, install it, make a few temporary files or copy some files somewhere in another folder/location and remove the temporary or copied files on purpose.

Then see if Recuva will get it for you.

If you don't like it, uninstall it.  Sometimes I install just to recovery a file (s), then uninstall it when I'm done.
