  Hello, I recently bought ACER Aspire V3 - 112 p 11.6 "(pink version). It has 2 GB of DDR3 memory, and it was written that there are 8 GB maximum installable RAM.

  (1) what exatcly RAM model buy to install extra RAM? Can we for example this one: INTEGRAL PC3 - 10600 DDR3 memory - 4 GB SODIMM RAM Laptop?

  (2) can I buy 4 GB and add to what I have already (2 GB) to have 6 GB of ram? Or I can purchase only 1 x 2 GB (4 GB) or 2 x 4 GB (for 8 GB)?

  (3) is there any video or description or a video of a model similar to see how to install additional ram memory in this laptop?

  Please also check if this happens in a new profile. If the new profile is correct, you can later copy the necessary personal data of the old profile. Firefox stores your personal data and settings in a different location (folder profile) separated from its files/folder. A new profile would default Firefox settings (Tools (Alt + T) > Options, and topic: config ) and usually also would be vacuum of Extensions and themes (appearance) in tools > Add-ons) and their parameters. In addition, a new profile would have no previous website stored data/settings etc, (Tools > clear recent history).

  I recommend that you try and that you use the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility (WICU).

  Your error message, the problem is probably caused by BIOS or DVD settings or bad cabling to SATA hard drive. Please do the following to narrow down because of the problem.
   
  (a) ensure that all laptops the same hardware, the same manufacturer and the same model.
   
  (b) upgrade the BIOS to the latest version; go into the BIOS and enable "Load Fail - Safe Defaults".

  Are you aware that Windows will unpack the files without the need of Winzip or any other 3rd party program?  It has also the ability to create files zipped, so why would need Winzip?

  I have a pc Ubuntu (10.10) in the same workgroup as a pc Vista (Home Premium). The Ubuntu machine can 'see' the Working Group and the machine Vista and actions. The Vista machine cannot see the Ubuntu machine (it does not appear on the network), although it may be possible.

  Network discovery and sharing are enabled on the Vista machine and have shared folders. Samba is installed and working OK on the Ubuntu machine.

  What should I do to allow the machine Vista access folders on the Ubuntu pc?

  This seems to be true for Windows 7 so it probably works for Vista as well.

  Machines of Ubuntu do not seem to be visible on the nerwork unless you have really shared a folder on them...

  I recently released and bought 4 hard to present itself as a raid 10 disks, now I use my motherboards onboard fakeraid an ihc10r. The cables are fine and when I try and install windows 7 (64 x pro) on each disk with raid and ahci disabled in the bios, windows installs fine. Now when I raid raid 10 disks windows install can see the drive and even then, I load the drivers just to be sure that iastor.sys etc. (I tried with and without) is the same every time after the first reboot, I get about 10 minutes and 2 minutes after the resolution of the screen is adjusted BOOM "installation of windows could not configure windows to run on a hardware on this computer."

  First of all, then someone please help me get windows installed on my raid?

  Second, microsoft, your error messages leave much to be desired, it does not yet add a message in the Setup error log.

  EDIT: Forgot to add that I did a memtest and it happened, I also have the piece of garbage jmicron on my MB off the power. In addition, the facility produces when the SATA controller is in AHCI mode, BUT not in raid mode.

  Seems to me that if the software/driver is not compatible Windows 7. Also if any of the readers have reminants of your installation for each individual unit, Windows 7 may not be able to deal with formatting during the installation process.   (1) check each drive individually for issues.

  (2) wipe the drive (WD can for example remove the first and last part of the training which completely removes the MBR and other reminants for the final result is the drive looks like you just removed from the box and plugged in for the first time.)
