Acer Aspire 561PG-V5 out fashion 'sleep'

I just bought a laptop Aspire V5-561PG.  He has installed Windows 8.1.  I meet a very frustrating problem with it and it seems to be a very common problem after searching on various tech forums.  I'm not able to get the laptop out of fashion 'sleep' once it goes into this mode.  He went in mode 'sleep' through inactivity, closing the lid of the laptop and pressing function + F4.  I can't wake up after each of these instances.  The only thing I can do is hold down the power button to close it manually, then press the power button to restart.  I tried some of the suggestions I found on other tech forums, but nothing has worked.  I'm still not 100% sure it's mode 'sleep' with any of the above scenarios 3.  The screen goes black as you would expect, but the lights in the background, before the laptop are still all lit up.  I think the lights will turn off when it is in mode 'sleep' (maybe I'm wrong about this).  Anyway, has anyone found a solution with this?  I changed the video drivers several times and that didn't work.  I have the latest version of the BIOS installed.  This is a head scratcher and seems to be a common problem that I'm shocked, there is no clear response on how to solve this problem, at least not that I've found.  I hope I'm not in the right place. Thanks in advance for any help.

  • Acer Aspire V3 772 G BIOS grayed out

    Hello
I have a laptop Acer Aspire V3 (model G 772-9643), Acer sent me the recovery disks for. The first two steps they registered on the included sheet was to insert the disc labeled "System drive", then reboot and press F12 to get into the boot menu.

When F12 has not worked for me, I went into the BIOS with F2 and discovered that F12 Boot has been disabled. I tried to go down with the arrow, but couldn't. All the options are greyed out, even on the other sections in the menu of the BIOS. Time and date system were virtually the only things not greyed out. Until I have enable F12 I can not change the order of boot on CD/DVD and cannot start the process of recovery with Acer discs, so I'm completely stuck now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, it's urgent because I really need this laptop for the school that has already started. The laptop is very expensive, it is important that I try to repair rather than buy a new one.

Thanks in advance for any help

If you already save and exit the BIOS, enter the BIOS again and check if the options are still grayed out.

  • Acer Aspire V5-561PG turns off when the cover

I got my Acer Aspire V5-561PG for about 5 months now, and there have not been any problems with it until recently. It all started after the last Windows 8 update.

Whenever I close the lid just off lapop. I changed the sleepmode/energy-economy-mode settings (they are in Swedish to me so do not know the exact translation) but it stops again. The only thing that has worked has been updated with the 'status quo', but I don't want that.

It almost seems like the laptop goes down, it takes very long for it starts after I opened the lid. He also liked to before starting from stop manually.

I don't know what to do, advice or solutions?

I did some research and found that apparently USB devices such as the mouse can make the crash, so I made a few changes it. I've also updated my graphics card drivers later and now this isn't down more. Don't know which of the two did, but I'm just happy it works, thanks for the help anyway

    The part is:

  • HP Envy m6: HP Envy won't go out of fashion 'sleep'

    Hello!

I have an old HP Envy M6 and it has just recently started to act up to a year.  He's not coming fashion 'sleep' when I shake the mouse or press the keys on the keyboard.  In addition, instead of mode, sleep it seems to go into hibernation.  Sometimes, I can press the power slightly and it seems to make a shorter start (my browser will ask if I want to "restore" the previous session, the documents are saved in a temporary file, but the HP logo always appears like it is starting up).  Other times, on what the power supply light is already, but it won't wake up at all and so I have to do a hard reboot by pressing the power button until it turns off and restarts.

I checked all the power settings, and they seem to be good.

Any help is appreciated!  Thank you!

To anyone who has this problem: I asked a friend IT after struggling with this for a week.  He gave me a solution that works, I swear!  It's so simple and so I wanted to post here just in case it works for someone else.

You go to: Control Panel > power options > change when computer sleeps > change advanced > hard drive. Set it to never.

Don't forget to go into the advanced settings and when you see the '+' next to the hard disk, you click on it and you will see "turn off hard disk after" - I put the word in (it looked like it would take a number for the number of minutes, but I went ahead and typed ever and he agreed).  Note that I put in "never" for battery or plugged into the power just to make sure it works.

Hope this helps someone else who has trouble!  I don't know what has changed in this context - I certainly has not changed anything, so perhaps you an update.

    Good luck

  • Acer Aspire 3830TG-6494 blocks everything at stake, using either built-in or nVidia Graphics

Acer Aspire 3830TG-6494 blocks everything at stake.

    Symptoms of the accident:

-happens anywhere out in the first 15 minutes to several hours in a game (no link with the graphic quality settings). Any loss of performance leading up to the accident.

-seeds and black, with a brief gurgling noise goes from the screen. Fan and power remains lit always works, forcing a hard reset.

-Occasionally, the screen freezes, lines horizontal green of ~ 1 cm will appear everywhere and a humming noise is output from the speakers up to a hard reset.

-Rarely, I get a BSOD, or the computer will shut down and restart itself. DMP files obtained do show no consistent presumed cause.

-Crash will be preceded by sometimes some sounds in the game by cutting. But not always.

-The only link between accidents, is that I think usually a solution worked just before the accident. (Frustrating!)

-System crash occasionally in watching videos or something, but only accidents constantly all game.

    I tried the following:

-Games running using only the built-in graphics card or nVidia GeForce GT 540 M GPU.

-Underclocking is the GPU (500 MHz and 700 MHz, 672 MHz and 900 MHz) CPU (70% of the power max seting plan) and both at the same time.

-The temperatures do not exceed 70 c under heavy use, and crash does not appear to be related to increases in temperature.

-Run the memory diagnostic Windows 7 and memtest86 (no problem found)

-Execution of diagnostic CPU intel and intel UERX reference that has not caused an accident.

-Updated all drivers for the latest versions, as well as make them back to the versions recommended on the acer website to download. (Completely uninstalled the graphics drivers before reinstalling different versions) And ensuring that windows update not installing driver updates automatically.

-the upgrade of BIOS for v1.12, has been stable for a weekend, he returned to crashing.

-The system seems to be more stable in sleep or in balance mode, but not a lot. I also knew the power adapter because it seems not crashing on the battery for a short period. But I was wrong, and he eventually crashing if hooked up or not.

Oh and try cleaning w / air, obviously

I don't play often and used to play older games on the lower quality settings. I'm not overclocking or streaming at the same time.

    Help, please

It looks like the modules of RAM that came with the laptop were somewhat incompatible with each other in dual channel mode. Comes with a 2 GB and a 4 GB, same frequency but different bar.

MemtestX86 or windows memory diagnostic found a problem with a stick.

Computer is completely stable when running with only the 4 GB stick, even under heavy use. Have since replaced by a kit 2x4gb without any problem.

Wish that I had looked at the problem, while the laptop was still under warranty, instead of assuming that it was overheating.

  • Compaq Presario CQ62 out mode 'sleep', even after hard reset

And run it, the light flashes on the laptop. No matter how many times press. It won't wake up.  I can't boot my laptop. Can someone give me a solution to this problem?

Hi melvingene, welcome on the basic behavior of HP you describe is more than a failure to market, as opposed to stuck in mode 'sleep'. With the flashing lights, it might alert you to a specific hardware problem. Try the troubleshooting described in this paper: computer does not start and the lights blink or the computer will beep

If you do not started, you probably encounter some kind of hardware failure.

  • Default backup Acer Aspire (win 8.1) factory HP 320 GB Pocket drive format to Clipboard 32 GB

How can I get to use Acer Aspire win8.1 desktop that I preformed an Acer factory default creation backup on my HP 320 GB pocket drive that seems to have reformatted my 320 usb HP pocket drive in an expensive paperweight of 32 GB. try to reformat my HP 320 usb reader Pocket using win 8.1 not using NTFS produces no result.

Well, I can't help you with the stuff on the HP Acer Aspire forum but I can help you to recover your HP external disk.

Are you say that now it shows only 32 GB drive and the custom recover the entire 320?

If so, you should be able to delete the partition/partitions on this physical drive, and then create a large volume everywhere again.

    • Make a right click on this PC (computer) or what you named it, and then choose manage.
    • Then select disk management. You can also type in disk management search bar to find. The external hard drive will have one or more partitions that should be the 32 GB drive and the rest of the space. The rest of the space can make it appear not allocated. I'll have to guess here.
    • Right-click on the 32 GB drive and delete the volume. You can do the same thing if she has another partition in there too.
    • Once the drive is unallocated space, you can right click in this field and create a new Volume, and then format it and others.

Let me know how it turns out.

  • Built in mic on acer aspire one does not

The microphone on my acer aspire one netbook does not work. I am running windows XP on the netbook and had this problem once before some time back, but can't remember what the person tech told me to uninstall that does the job all of a sudden again. I use also the audio if it helps Realtek HD. I tried several times to update the drivers and reinstall the software from the acer site, it does not work... any suggestions?

    Hello

    Thank you for your message.

I see that you are facing problems with the built-in microphone.

Let's not worry! I'm here to help.

    Quick questions:

    1. what exactly happens when you use the built-in microphone? You receive an error message?

    2. What is the status of the device in Device Manager?

Check out this link to learn more about device manager:

    By using Device Manager

    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/snap_dev_mgr.mspx?mfr=true

Let's try the following and check:

    Method 1:

We will adjust the volume of your microphone and check if it is set as default.

    (a) right click on the "speaker" icon located on the bottom right corner the screen of the taskbar.

    (b) click on sounds, click on the recording tab.

    (c) click Microphone, and then click Properties. (Note to make sure that this work appears under Microphone. If the job does not appear, click on Microphoneand then click set as default.)

    (d) in the Properties of the Microphone dialog box, click the custom tab.

    (e) select or clear the check box Amp Microphone .

    (f) click the levels tab.

    (g) set the slider for the volume to the desired level, and then click OK.

    (h) click on OK to close the sound dialog box.

    Method 2:

I would also say that you update the drivers for your Microphone and looking for the issue.

  • Acer aspire 532g - e5. No sound from integrated speakers

as mentioned in the topic, the machine is acer aspires e5 - 532g, os: windows 8.1.

There is no sound coming from the built-in speakers. they are the default device and are not dumb. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the driver several times, used the driver from the CD-ROM of resources goes hand in hand with Notepad, uploaded to the site and the acer site realtek and still no sound. However, if I connect an external speaker (a stereo cd player), it plays the sound.

the laptop is brand new, so of course I had no time to break

any idea, fellows? struggle with this since 3 days, read tons of forums and cannot always know whats wrong

Because the laptop is new I guess the wire to the speaker on the motherboard connector has come loose, or the wires were pinched during Assembly. If you new enoough, just swap out with your provider. If it's a little too late for that, contact Acer support and they will repair it for you.

  • Problems with Acer Aspire V5 - 573 G UEFI?

    Hello

I have Acer Aspire V5 - 573G. Before all the problems start I used Legacy BIOS mode with 10 Windows Pro 64 bit OS. Have the latest BIOS v2.30.

So, recently, I decide to move from the Legacy BIOS UEFI and reinstalled Windows 10 Pro 64-bit with UEFI mode activated with the GPT partition style. Everything went well with the installation.

Now I am facing following issues with UEFI and Windows 10 witch, which I didn't in Legacy BIOS mode:

    1. When the laptop goes to sleep and is not touched for a while, I can't wake up to laptop. Press any key on the keyboard or touch the touchpad don't wake it either. Only way is to press the Power button to stop completely and then turn it back on. I don't know if it's something to do with the Windows settings to resolve this problem.
    2. Restart Windows sometimes stop laptop computer. It's really strange... Windows shows it restarts, screen goes black and does not start, instead it laptop shutdown. ??
    3. And when I shut down the system, it is not entirely clear. Often the blue light continues to blink, CPU and GPU fans are always and still closing system entirely to press on the button / stop.

These issues are somehow related to UEFI, because I had no such problems with the traditional mode and Windows 10. This is starting to annoy me when the laptop stops completely.

    Any help on this?

    Thank you!

I have an Acer Aspire all-in-one 5600U. The other day the power in our House went out due to a storm. After she came back and went to use my computer, the screen was black and said "Reboot and select proper... boot device." ». I tried to download the tool of creation of media to a USB port and start the system using this. I can get into the menu troubleshooting but nothing works. When I try to make a custom Windows installation, it says "no signed device drivers were found". What is a hard drive problem? In the BIOS, under Boot Options is does not list a specific hard drive. It just says: 'hard drive '. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestion.

  • Help! -Acer Aspire all-in-one touch screen after upgrade Windows 8 Pro

    Hi all!

This is a rather confusing questions and about * me off no end!  I know that some of you may have encountered this already and could have a potential solution?

I have an Acer Aspire all-in-one, AZ5101 (Aspire Z5101), with 4 GB of RAM, etc..

Since the Developer Preview of Windows 8 came out, I've been running Windows 8 perfectly.  I completely uninstalled (each time itself) and run the following:

    Windows 8 Developer Preview, 64-bit

Windows 8 Preview of consumer, 64-bit

    Windows 8 Preview, 64-bit version

In any case, on this PC worked perfectly - y INCLUSIVE of the TOUCH SCREEN.  I never had a problem.

So far so good.  Then, they finally released updates Windows 8 Pro official licensed by download.  I bought the upgrade and downloaded.  Just like in * ALL * other cases, upgrade, I chose "keep nothing" of the old system (I never really got all the important data on here), and do the upgrade itself.

After the upgrade was complete, and ALL Windows 8 Pro updates have been applied by Windows update, I have a system where the screen is clear and precise, everything works, and all devices in Device Manager, show the Greens well, it works fine - NO ERRORS.  HOWEVER - NO CONTACT!  No touch no screen function at all.  The screen now has this time as a standard monitor.

I tried the driver Idéacom - no luck.  Anyone know (please? LOL) how to get the touch screen to work again?  Thank you very much!  I really appreciate any help you can give.  Microsoft technical support had NO idea and no reply emails from Acer! Laughing out loud

    Thanks again,

    Mike

  • Cannot enter BIOS or Option of Boot to display on my desktop Acer Aspire M3450

For the last few days I tried to access in the BIOS or The Boot Options screen by pressing the keys with " DEL " for BIOS and ' F12 ' to The Boot Options screen. Same pressing down both keys on my keyboard and switch to normal startup with Windows 10 logo screen and then type password. I'm sure you know that this office is not supported for parameters of the UEFI. I tried with Settings\Update and Security-Advanced Options- then have 6 names on the double column , but I'm not sure that one to take to solve the problem. Here are the 6 names below:

    System restore

    System Image recovery

    Startup Repair

    Command prompt

    Startup parameters

Go back to the previous version

Everything what I wan tis to solve two things by pressing the ekys for BIOS and the Boot Options screen. That's all that I need it. Or I need to reinstall the entire disk operating system Microsoft Windows 10 Home Premium 64?   Either way, my computer's desktop Acer Aspire M3450 game.

    Thank you

    John

It's a good thing I do not get out the my desktop's CMOS battery. Someone I know told me I 'Try to change the keyboard' Guess - it works now. The USB keyboard that I just bought does not work so I went back to the wireless keyboard that I used all the time. So now my problem is solved.

Can I ask a question - why doesn't the USB keyboard support to accept that I press the key after the reboot for BIOS or Boot Display Options? Hope that someone here in this forum will answer for that.

    Thank you

    John
