  I've seen some posts saying that the upgrade of ram D270 was deemed not user replaceable. Although Acer may have tried not user replaceable; It is altogether. It was so easy. I went on the standard of 1 GB of Ram for a 2 GB key in about 10 minutes.

  I just bought an Acer Aspire TimelineX, 3820 T. It's like a Synaptics Touchpad, which works fine until I do a Windows Update. Once I do the update of Windows, the touch pad doesn't work. Even if it works, there is no control over the touchpad. It is an old laptop of the week and I won't send it to Service Center for repair. Also, I'm afraid to get Exchange of the same model, since it is a software problem with Windows update and could be the same thing with another of the same model. I disabled the Windows Update and there is no problem since then. But with the new laptop, I cannot deal with Windows update and will be updated soon.

  I have an Acer Aspire TimelineX 1830 t-68U118.  The original hard drive died, so I replaced it with a new hard drive.  I loaded Windows 7 x 64 and loaded the chipset drivers and the network drivers.  The laptop is always my bluetooth equipment (even if I loaded the drivers Atheros).  Does anyone else have this problem?  How can I get the bluetooth to work?

  Each memory slot supports up to 4 GB and not 8 GB. You will need 2 modules of memory of 4 GB.

  I think that the battery will be at least... Lol maybe a little very little!

  These are the processors we tested on these units, A4-1200, 1250 A4 & A6-1450; looking at literature looks like they could be the limitation as well.

  1. regarding upgrading to SSD and memory size max, please send me the part number of your machine or your serial number and I will advise you with accurate information.

  2. with regard to upgrading the ram, you can do it, BUT if damage you no matter which component while improving the security, then the warranty is voided. Also note that if you upgrade the ram, Acer will only cover its own warranty parts. If the ram you add becomes faulty, you will need to return the ram to the person / reseller you buy.
