Acer Aspire V 11 Touch - Vista drivers dual boot and need

HI - anyone know where I can get drivers Windows Vista 32 bit for the WLAN on the Acer Aspire V 11 Touch? Can dual-boot the software but cannot connect to the internet on Vista.

Thank you very much.

OK, time to abandon it. Pretty disappointed that, although I can find dualboot the correct drivers (graphics card and wlan) is almost impossible. People always want to dual boot and indeed that's being hit on the head - I can understand why (from the marketing point of view) but it will hurt only M$ in the long term.

If I bought a useful software a few years ago, and he still has the usefulness for me today, so I should be able to run it on my 'modern' computer without needing to downshift the material, which is actually what I need to do.

W8 is true new beginning and W10 will be an improvement, but M$ must:

1. make virtual machines available for free - currently available (no M$) virtual machines are very limited.

2. recognize that many users still want to run programs, they ran using XP.

Rant on, and M$, this is a client that is located close to the abandonment of your software.

  • Questions to Dual-Boot and Boot

    Hello VMware community and others.

    I have a question about VMWare Workstation.

    In help, I found something on the Dual-Boot and initiate outside of the virtual machine, but I can't understand this.

    So, I have some questions about this.

    1. can you my OS in the Virtual Machine boot VM outside?

    2. If the answer is Yes: how to disable the startup outside of the virtual machine?

    3. If starts outside, can choose the operating system on the host computer?

    Please answer quickly.

    Thanks in advance.

    1 Yes - if you have used a physical disk during the installation of the guest
    not if you used a regular vmdk

  • Acer Aspire 5720Z with Windows Vista does not start in Windows

    Hi, I had an Acer Aspire 5720Z who begins to give me the infamous error at startup, which brings you to the display of the Startup Repair tool.  When it ends, a pop-up window message saying "Startup can not repair this computer automatically" happens.  I tried all the options in the Windows Vista environment, but at the end he continues to display the same message and startup windows repair cycles over and over again.  And I'm unable to restore, because there is no restore point created.  However, I could get details of the problem and we hope that this information, someone here can direct me to what I do, since all the data of the disk are there, it's just that here I have a kind of corruption of the file to be replaced.  Here is the analytical error:

    I thought someone here would have developed an idea for you on this error to fix it now.

    You can try this:

    Follow these steps to try to solve your problems of boot.

    Restore point:

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
    Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
    NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:
    ISO Burner:http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html
    It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
    You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
    It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
    And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.
    See you soon.
  • Acer Aspire laptop, which exceeded the drivers
    I have acer Aspire laptop that I bought in November. Now he says I have 6 obsolete drivers in the driver manager. is it possible to get these updates without having to pay for them. and he said that they were obsolete 2006. How can they put a pilot in a laptop. When it was out of date when they put it in the laptop.
  • Acer Aspire 7741 G-6426 Win7 32-bit: Bluetooth and Webcam not working not
    We have two laptops Acer Aspire 7741 G-6426 Win7 32-bit that neither bluetooth NOR webcam work on.  Both of them have, according to the Device Manager, all the drivers installed (no yellow exclamation point and try to update drivers yields the 'installed the latest software' message) and we seem to have all installed software.  In fact, there is no driver under Device Manager problem.
    We have Acer Crystal Eye webcam installed, but when you navigate to it (start > all programs > Acer Crystal Eye Webcam video class), the only option is "Uninstall".
    We Suite Bluetooth installed for the bluetooth, but when you navigate to it (start > all programs > more Bluetooth > Bluetooth Suite) and try to start it, nothing happens... no program will ever launch.  There is also a Bluetooth peripheral folder (start > all programs > Bluetooth devices) which says: (empty).
    What gives?
    I checked our systems and found that the Aspire 7741 G-6426 not comes with Bluetooth.
  • Acer Travelmate 7750 G freezes completely using Windows or Linux (dual boot). Need help please.
    The problem is that the machine freezes completely without apparent reason, on all operating systems, I tried.  "Freezes", I mean there is no reaction to the mouse movements, keyboard presses and start button / stop pressed off the coast.  The gel seems to be at a random time and may occur even when the system is idle.
    The Acer Travelmate 7750 G laptop came pre-installed with Windows 7 and it kept freezing.  The machine has been updated level of Windows 8, 8.1, 10, then dual boot with Linux Mint 17.3.  The machine froze on all operating systems.  I have tested software hard drive, memory, CPU, GPU and they all managed very well.  Is it someone who has knowledge about how to resolve or others troubleshoot this please?
    RESOLVED - I installed a HDD replacement in December 2015 and the laptop Travelmate 7750 G works perfectly since.  Cost me almost nothing compared to the price of the laptop.  No freezing, crashing or anything else!
    Thank you very much for your help.
  • Acer aspire s7-392-9439: lack of default boot device or startup failed.
    Hello
    I bought an Acer aspire s7-392-9439 3 months ago. It has been working fine, until yesterday.
    I turn on the computer and it poped a blue screen with the error: 'lack of default boot device or startup failed'.
    This error reminded me that a message on a bios updated poped over a few days and I have the chance to install it.
    I contacted acer support, I was told that the update of the bios would have avoided this problem. Also, they told me to try things that can help, but unfortunately none of them has:
    1 restore the default bios settings.
    2. change the bios settings: uefi to legacy.
    3 type the Windows key + c when the computer starts.
    When these options do not have they said it is probably a hardware problem and I should send my computer to their repair center.
    My questions are:
    1. If they updated bios would have prevented the problem, how can it be a hardware problem?
    2 - does anyone know how to solve the problem?
    I would appreciate your help,
    Michael
    I had the same problem.  Tried the diskette of starting BACK and did not work.
    Here's how I solved it:
    (apologies to memory are some terms is not on-site)
    1. download the Setup file of the BIOS - link provided above in this thread (isST2212.exe)
    2. on a Windows 8 machine that works - search for 'Create a recovery disk' and run on a USB drive
    3. copy the file #1 to the USB drive once it's done make a recovery disk
    4. in the Acer BIOS (press F2 during startup), change to the method of priming of the legacy
    5 save and exit
    6. turn in the BIOS and move the option USB HDD as first boot device
    7. Save and exit
    8. you will end up in a Windows 8 recovery console
    9. go to Advanced Options - find the option that leads you to the command prompt
    10. from there I went to d: drive and found my file isST2212.exe - run by typing the file name when you are in the folder
    Make sure that you are connected to power - let it run.  It should install, automatic restart and you should be in business.
    I had an Acer offer to fix it for free with a 7-10 day turn around and at the risk of losing all my data.  It's a much better solution!
  • Try to install Windows XP & Vista in Dual Boot, but Windows XP not fully installed
    Hi friends,
    I have my serious to replace the Windows Vista on my desktop, I created some complications on my computer "dear."
    WIndows Xp has not been completely installed due to a driver error. Now, I have a WIndows Vista and a wrong version of Windows XP.
    I tried to replace the XP, but it seems that I have the following challenges:
    (1) the two versions of Windows (Vista and XP) are installed on one single disc itself, IE. C drive.
    (2) I formatted D drive, whereby a XP driver disappeared.
    In the current context, how can I uninstall the XP then replace Vista with a new version of XP, my C drive has little free space left due to the presence of 2 windows versions.
    Let me know the best way to go, I backed up all the data and data loss is not a concern, is of the order of the day to start!
    Thank you
    An in Windows 7 Startup Repair can solve the problem - give it a try.
    Try to use BCDEdit: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/2676-bcdedit-how-use.html. You can modify the startup files to create a situation of dual boot (make sure that you use the existing boot files - be they on the Vista partition or partition Windows7).
    You can also use bootrec.exe to perform essentially the same thing: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/163304-dual-boot-using-free-partitioning-software.html.
    I hope this helps.
  • How to remove Vista? (Dual boot C: D: in Vista, Windows 7)
    Hello
    I have windows vista Edition full home preinstalled on my laptop (wipro bm4930) in c: drive. I was unsatisfaied of vista and installed W7 ultimate in my d drive. Now, I am fully satisfied with w7 and want to uninstall vista. But when tried to format the c drive, it says 'impossible to format cdrive '.
    Please, help me uninstall my system vista.
    First of all, you need to remove the dual-boot scenario (this is why you cannot format).  Here is the procedure - it is generic, but should work with these operating systems as wel (this is the second series):http://www.ehow.com/how_4558992_delete-computer-operating-system.html.
    Once you start only in Windows7 (you have more choice at the start), you should be able to use Windows7 to format the disk containing Vista and then you're done.
    Be very careful, because change startup files can cause you to lose access to the two systems - not only the Vista-if you do not correctly.  I suggest that ask you that question in the Windows7 Forums; http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/windows7 of confirmation for Windows7 is what you want to keep.
    I hope this helps.
    Good luck!
