  • Cannot read the DVD player.

    Hello

I have a laptop Compaq Presario A900. Currently, the DVD player does not work properly. After reviewing the Device Manager, the DVD drive reports the following error: "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its information of configuration (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19) ». I tried to uninstall the DVD device in the Device Manager and rebooted the computer. After that he tried to reinstall the device, I get the same error message. Any ideas on what needs to be changed in the registry to re - activate the DVD player?

    Thank you

Hello Mike and thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately, it still does not work properly.

My laptop running Windows Vista and the product is of # A931NR.

I ran and installed the VISTA MS Fix It utility, as you suggested. He filled the diagnoses and recommended to reinstall the CD/DVD driver. However, the reader does not always show upward under my computer and Device Manager still says "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its information of configuration (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19) ».

It seems to be a problem in the registry that prevents the CD/DVD drive to correctly seting is placed in the system.  You have any other suggestions? I really appreciate it.

  • Reading the dvd player flv files...

    Hi all

I work with Flash for a while, but never attempted to run a Flash project from a dvd player, I thought it would be homogeneous, but of course, it wasn't. I have a project of e-learning with a Main.html, Main.swf and many .flvs sitting in different folders. Using Flash Builder, I've compiled all my bin-release folder, tested, and everything was well-oiled, no complaints. When I dropped all of those files on a dvd, the Main.html charge toward the top of the Main.swf, but NONE of the .flv files. Also, when I copy all the files from the dvd on my computer, I see the same results when no charge of the .flv.

Can someone explain to me why this is happening? Is there something I need to do for .flv files to play from a dvd player?

Thanks for your help, very confused.

I made a dvd where I got a file f4v 6 GB with several chapters, running within an air application, there is no trick to use relative linking your Flash videos.

I have a problem on dvd rom. My dvd - rom can open the CD but not open DVD.
What can be the problem? Can you help me please?

Thank you very much right now...

Sorry, but your ad does not give us enough information for a better understanding of the problem. You mean what DVD? You write about the original DVD movies or some created cottages, films, copies or what?

Please test with different content (movies, the saved files and so on) and let us know exactly what is happening.

  • T410 DVD player

Hi, I recently bought a Thinkpad T410 and I want to create recovery discs. so I bougt garage some DVD + R discs and tried to create discs for you, but it seems that the DVD player does not support these discs or cannot write. Is it possible that these new laptops in this day n age would have a dvd player that can not write, but can only play discs. T410 has a read-only dvd player?

This means that it is just a DVD player, if you have USB flash drive, you can create a media recovery on this subject

    Hello

As far as I know the films for European needs region 2

  • DVD player is not reading DVDs

    Hello world

I am running Vista on a laptop Satellite 200. I don't think that I never managed to get to read a DVD. He never does that say:

"Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD. Go to the display of the control panel section and try lowering your resolution and quality settings color. »

Needless to say, intervene on the settings does nothing and I still get the same message no matter what setting they are on. In addition, it gives the same message on WMP is not able to play the disc, even if I use another program, such as Real Player.

    Any help would be welcome.

I can recommend you to use VLC media Player. It is really good and can handle the most used formats.

  • Recovery USB - stick (DVD player does not) Acer Aspire 7750 G

    Hello world

My DVD player does not work for quit some time. This is no big problem for me, because one barely use it.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to burn recovery DVD. In my view, it has an option to do a recovery USB drive. It would be a great solution! Unfortunately I do not have the possibility to do so. Is this only possible for computers without an optical drive? Is it possible to download the program with the option to use a USB - stick as in the YouTube video?

    Thanks in advance,

    Richard

You can try to work around the problem, since I'm not sure that Acer was already an eRecovery on windows version 7 which allows to create USB recovery media.

This free software allows you to create a virtual DVD/rw drive and use it to create an iso file, then you can ise this iso file to create a USB stick recovery using rufus:

  • Why windows media player is not reading my DVD, and how do I install windows media player decoder using my drive from windows XP Professional?

    Media player from Windows

Why windows media player is not reading my DVD, and how do I install the windows media player decoder using my disk of windows XP Professional

FWIW... Win XP cannot natively recognize Commercial
DVD video... it requires a DVD decoder. And... He
is not a DVD decoder on your Win XP Pro drive.

If you could play before commercial video DVD...
do a system restore to a time before this started
    may be your solution.

Or you could buy a DVD decoder at the following link:

(FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)
Restore point before installing software or updates)

    Info about DVD decoders:
    Plug-ins for Windows Media Player

Or you can download and use one of the following freeware

    (works on XP/Vista/7)

    Media Player Classic Home Cinema

    (works on XP/Vista/7)

Or... you can try to download and install one of the
    Following codec packs.

(FWIW... it is always preferable, if you create a system restore
point before installing any software or updates).
