Acer W4 W3 bluetooth keyboard lag / stuck key

Hey everybody,

Everyone has noticed that there are problems with the Acer Iconia W4 with keyboard?  I have used with the W3 and had no problem at all, but now that I use on the W4, I often get massive lags (2 + seconds) between when I type something and show on screen.  He also picks up a character ('stuck' key) very often, with something like 20 or so repeating characters.  It's really annoying because not only what I need to remove super long chain of repeated characters, but the delete key gets stuck too and deletes everything I typed.  And this only happens when there is WiFi traffic, with the fact that it is the worst when I'm loading/downloading on the FTP servers in the back while typing... looks like the WiFi signal is ruin the BT signal.

When I get on the W3, no problem.  I also changed the battery, just in case, without success.  Mouse Bluetooth has no problem but... Although I've read elsewhere here of people with mouse lag.

Thank you all.

Too bad this fixed it for me:

    HI Balu,

You can remove delicately key-top of your "E" key and check that there is nothing caught in the key mechanism under-neath, who may be responsible for your key malfunction.

If that all seems OK, then you must consult toa Toshiba Service partner to check a replacement keyboard.

  • Bluetooth mouse lag when Bluetooth keyboard is connected

    Hello

I recently bought a Lenovo Thinkpad with windows 8, and I noticed a really annoying problem. I have a Bluetooth mouse and a bluetooth keyboard and my keyboard works fine, but when my Bluetooth keyboard is connected, my Bluetooth mouse is REALLY bad. If the keyboard is off then the mouse works great, only it messes up if the two are connected at the same time.

I have seen several discussions on the Bluetooth mouse problems when playing games or transfer of data, but mine does all the time if I have my keyboard connected at the same time.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

  • Iconia W700P - need to access bluetooth keyboard during the boot UEFI or need to boot from a USB

Solved a problem, now face two other:

The W700P will now boot from a DVD recovery Acronis TI, but to select the restore function (then the specific restore backup), it requires an entry for a keyboard. The Bluetooth keyboard supplied with the W700P does not work during the boot sequence. I prefer not to go out and buy a USB keyboard, but it is perhaps the only option.

    Or-

The W700P boot from a USB key can stick? I read that this is impossible, but in looking at the Acer store, that's all they offer as recovery media for the W700P. I made a bootable USB key, when I bought the computer first, but I can't seem to start. All I get is repeated boot Acer screens, maybe he's trying different options in the boot order. I tried to change the order, put a password for boot and secure boot off, but I still have the same question.

    Any ideas?

Solved once and for the moment! I now have a USB hub, USB, USB and DVD USB mouse keyboard (powered externally). Throw all these things on the machine, I was able to boot into the Acronis Recovery DVD, go to the menu and reinstall a previous backup of Windows 8.1.

  • Error: 0210 stuck key 19

    Hi all.

My Lenovo computer is dΘmarre. When I hit the Party think butten fast enough, the screen appears with four options, such as retrieve etc.. However, as soon as I'm in this screen of my laptop starts beeping and gives ERROR 0210 Stuck Key 19 press on after 9 seconds to Setup.

The keyboard did not work at the time by pressing F1 was not possible.

After 10 minutes my computer has suddenly started once and I could enter my password normally. However, after 1 minute everywhere ' p appeared.

As it seems that the p is stuck, I cleaned the keyboard, but do not solve the problem.

After that, I completely removed the keyboard and mouse. However, that was not also to solve the problem.

Do you have an idea what to do?

    Thank you

    Arnold

If other people are having the same problem:
The solution (for me) seems to be disconnecting the CMOS for a night (more than 8 hours). In other words, remove the BIOS battery. If problems still occur, maybe replace the cmos battery.

    Hello

I just upgraded to the most recent updated to Microsoft Update on an IBM Thinkpad T41. A reboot is required, and now I get error 0210: Stuck Key 7B. It doesn't seem to be a stuck key. Help, please!

Thank you for your quick response. Pressing F2 @ bootup get past the error screen frozen, so thank you... but my keyboard was still unresponsive, so I couldn't go in the BIOS to make changes.

I also called phone support, which was difficult to understand other than to say supply market, it must be a hardware problem, or press ctrl/alt/delete (on a keyboard doesn't respond).

Finally I quoted me IBM, which offers only machines still under warranty, which mine is not in favor.

I finally solved this problem caused by changes in software update... and it wasn't not by replacing the keyboard. I think I can be an asset to the Microsoft Team and plan on sending my resume for review.

  • Iconia W700: Bluetooth keyboard not detected in Windows 10 x 64

I'm trying to update all computers at home on Windows 10 and it was pretty painless for most of the devices so far. However, I can not get my W700 Iconia tablet to recognize the Bluetooth keyboard.

Is the keyboard with integrated lid, and I followed the procedure, as indicated on the Acer Web site, to hold the power button on the keypad for 5 seconds to put it in discovery mode and then adding a Bluetooth unit device. Of course, the menus have new sites, but are not hard to find.

I have updated the driver for Bluetooth on the Tablet, but who has not remedied the problem. I looked around and couldn't find any mention of this problem here or elsewhere, probably since Windows 10 has just launched a few days ago.

Okay, so I don't know if the driver was actually the question, but Acer documentation to set the Bluetooth keyboard pairing mode requires that you hold down the power button until the two LEDs on the departure of keyboard alternately as on a police car.

If anyone is reading this and it still does not allow you to associate the keyboard, then here are the steps to get the right Bluetooth driver:

    1. Open Device Manager (right-click the windows down icon on the left)
    2. Expand the "Bluetooth" category in Device Manager
    3. Right click on the Bluetooth driver (should be first in the list, if there are several devices listed)
    4. Click on uninstall
    5. Restart the tablet. Bluetooth driver is reinstalled on reboot.
    6. Reopen Device Manager after the connection
    7. Right-click on the Bluetooth driver, then click on "update driver software... »
    8. Select the option for Windows find the driver software.
    9. An update must be downloaded and installed.
    10. Now, repeat the pairing steps detailed above, and you should see an option for the pair the keyboard appear in the Bluetooth settings.

This type of message means usually only one or several keys on the keyboard are stuck in the down position. You can inspect the keyboard to see if the keys are blocked mechanically. It is also possible that a spill of liquid caused one or more keys electrically 'Short' and watch the BIOS as if the key is stuck.

If you are mechanically handy, you can remove the keyboard for inspection and cleaning. The material for the T61 series Maintenance Manual provides detailed instructions on the installation/uninstallation of the keyboard as well as the numbers for replacement keyboards. You can find used keyboards cheap on eBay, etc.

By the way this post made me smile. This kind of problem and message goes back to the first IBM PC. I remember getting a BIOS message such as "error of keyboard: press to continue." The message was issued because I forgot to plug the keyboard in the system unit. It's a message ridiculous because if the keyboard is disconnected or broken how BIOS will detect that you pressed F1 or any other key?

  • Can I install Win XP costs with booting from CD bluetooth keyboard? No problem installing connectivity?

I have a bluetooth (Logitech MX 5000) keyboard and a mouse bluetooth also.

Can I boot from the XP CD and completely install fresh XP without any keyboard / mouse of disconnection.

I m wondering how bluetooth will work if XP is install new files?

And I want to install by booting from the CD only?

    Maryse Agarwal

I think that you did not understand the problem.  Some bluetooth keyboard/mouse games include

a bluetooth adapter that is aware of this problem and start eMule a wired USB device

until the operating system recognizes (and probably Initializes) as a bluetooth adapter.  As a result,.

during a clean installation of Windows XP, the keyboard works in the environment of pre-seed.

(Possibly with help from the BIOS itself that can be done "supported inherited" to do the)

"USB keyboard" watch compatible all the way back to BACK!)

In any case, once that installation gets pretty far along some more advanced to load drivers

the BT adapter leaves its compatibility mode and the keyboard stops working.  Alas, it's good

before the point where you can create connections to BT.  It's to the point where Windows

The installation program ask you locale, time zone, a * license key * etc.

I have not found a way around using another keyboard at this point.  Another mouse is also

practical but not strictly necessary.  (You can do it using and .)

Hope this clears some things up.

  • Mouse and keyboard lagging

My keyboard and mouse began trolling about a month ago.  Now latency is up to two seconds at a time. They have worked well for the first 3 years. The keyboard is plugged in and that the mouse is wireless. I am running windows 7 on a desktop computer.

    Hi whatever4507,

Mouse and keyboard lagging may be system related issue or a device related issue. To determine the cause of your concerns, we suggest for your device to boot in Safe Mode and see if the delay occurs again.

You can start your PC in Safe Mode by using the Advanced Boot options. To access to your computer by pressing the F8 key before the Windows logo appears. In the display Advanced startup options select Safe Mode.

For more information about safe mode in the Advanced startup options, click here.

If you have a mouse and keyboard trolling while in Safe Mode, your concern might be the result of recent changes, you have done on your PC. To resolve this problem, we suggest you to perform a System Restore.

Follow the steps below on how to do a System Restore:

    1. In the dialog box of files and research programs on the Start menu, type "restore".
    2. In the list of results, click System Restore .
    3. In the System Restore window, click Next.
    4. Select the date and time (it should be the date and time until you encounter mouse and keyboard fill) in the list of restore points.
    5. Click Next, then click Finish.

However, if you still experience the same in Safe Mode, your concern that may result by out-of-date drivers for your mouse and your keyboard. We suggest you to manually update the device drivers in Device Manager.

    Hey Joe,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

It can happen because of the conflict of device driver if Windows update tries to install the updated driver for a device that has an updated driver.

    • What is the brand and model of your computer?

While you reply us with the above information, you can try the following solutions and check if this solves the problem.

Method 1: Run the corner hardware store and check if it detects problems.

  • error 0210: stuck key 2B - thinkpad t61 + windows 7 32 bit

If I press the ESC key, then she starts the operating system windows 7 and also after starting, if I open any ms word document, key # gets automatically in a hurry and I could see characters # continues typing in the doc, he started only after installing the w7 in my thinkpad. Can anyone suggest me if it is a failure of keyboard or operating system issue. This is repeated even after I clean the keyboard and then turn it on again. What happens in the bios, I hear a continuous even in the bios beep as if some button get all the time. So please let me know what I need to change the keyboard everything or just reconnect it or something else is under way. Please help me, I wonder why this problem began immediately after I installed Windows 7. If its an OS problem, am I get the beep sound in the bios, so I think its definitely not the prob of os. something wrong with the keys isn't. Any suggestions or advice are appreciated, I ran the diagnostic of the HD, he took.

    Thank you

    manu555,

If this happens in the BIOS as you note, that does anything have to do with the operating system.   As suggested from GMAC-R60, this indicates that the keyboard be bad or have a bad / intermittent connection to the system board, or something on the card system goes wrong.

    I will try:

Checking the connection of physical keyboard:

Remove and disconnect the keyboard - inspect the plug keyboard for any damage or visible corrosion.  Plug back in carefully and try again.  If the problems are still occurring, try...

Clearing CMOS and reset the BIOS by default - sometimes you get somewhat stuck causing an abnormal condition:

Remove the battery & AC adapter / CC.  Press and hold button power several times for an account of 5 each time.   Join AC and restart the computer.    Go into the BIOS and reloading the default values and save.  (there is an option to restore the default settings).  Stop.  Equip your battery and restart.

Try to replace the keyboard - you can communicate with the service and order a keyboard replacement out of warranty or a local business partner of source on (if there are retailers of warranty allowed in your area, they will have the keyboard in stock or be able to order it).   Alternatively, check sales online - ebay, etc as you wish.

If none of these steps solve it, so my next suggestion would be the system board, but I think it's rather unlikely.

    Best regards

    Mark
