error 0210: stuck key 7B

Hello

I just upgraded to the most recent updated to Microsoft Update on an IBM Thinkpad T41. A reboot is required, and now I get error 0210: Stuck Key 7B. It doesn't seem to be a stuck key. Help, please!

Thank you
Joanna Kaul

Ramata T.,.

Thank you for your quick response. Pressing F2 @ bootup get past the error screen frozen, so thank you... but my keyboard was still unresponsive, so I couldn't go in the BIOS to make changes.

I also called phone support, which was difficult to understand other than to say supply market, it must be a hardware problem, or press ctrl/alt/delete (on a keyboard doesn't respond).

Finally I quoted me IBM, which offers only machines still under warranty, which mine is not in favor.

I finally solved this problem caused by changes in software update... and it wasn't not by replacing the keyboard. I think I can be an asset to the Microsoft Team and plan on sending my resume for review.

Thank you
Joanna

    Hi all.

My Lenovo computer is dΘmarre. When I hit the Party think butten fast enough, the screen appears with four options, such as retrieve etc.. However, as soon as I'm in this screen of my laptop starts beeping and gives ERROR 0210 Stuck Key 19 press on after 9 seconds to Setup.

The keyboard did not work at the time by pressing F1 was not possible.

After 10 minutes my computer has suddenly started once and I could enter my password normally. However, after 1 minute everywhere ' p appeared.

As it seems that the p is stuck, I cleaned the keyboard, but do not solve the problem.

After that, I completely removed the keyboard and mouse. However, that was not also to solve the problem.

Do you have an idea what to do?

    Thank you

    Arnold

If other people are having the same problem:
The solution (for me) seems to be disconnecting the CMOS for a night (more than 8 hours). In other words, remove the BIOS battery. If problems still occur, maybe replace the cmos battery.

  • error 0210: stuck key 2B - thinkpad t61 + windows 7 32 bit

"Whenever I turn on the system I get this error 0210: stuck key 2B. If I press the ESC key, then she starts the operating system windows 7 and also after starting, if I open any ms word document, key # gets automatically in a hurry and I could see characters # continues typing in the doc, he started only after installing the w7 in my thinkpad. Can anyone suggest me if it is a failure of keyboard or operating system issue. This is repeated even after I clean the keyboard and then turn it on again. What happens in the bios, I hear a continuous even in the bios beep as if some button get all the time. So please let me know what I need to change the keyboard everything or just reconnect it or something else is under way. Please help me, I wonder why this problem began immediately after I installed Windows 7. If its an OS problem, am I get the beep sound in the bios, so I think its definitely not the prob of os. something wrong with the keys isn't. Any suggestions or advice are appreciated, I ran the diagnostic of the HD, he took.

    Thank you

    manu555,

If this happens in the BIOS as you note, that does anything have to do with the operating system.   As suggested from GMAC-R60, this indicates that the keyboard be bad or have a bad / intermittent connection to the system board, or something on the card system goes wrong.

    I will try:

Checking the connection of physical keyboard:

Remove and disconnect the keyboard - inspect the plug keyboard for any damage or visible corrosion.  Plug back in carefully and try again.  If the problems are still occurring, try...

Clearing CMOS and reset the BIOS by default - sometimes you get somewhat stuck causing an abnormal condition:

Remove the battery & AC adapter / CC.  Press and hold button power several times for an account of 5 each time.   Join AC and restart the computer.    Go into the BIOS and reloading the default values and save.  (there is an option to restore the default settings).  Stop.  Equip your battery and restart.

Try to replace the keyboard - you can communicate with the service and order a keyboard replacement out of warranty or a local business partner of source on (if there are retailers of warranty allowed in your area, they will have the keyboard in stock or be able to order it).   Alternatively, check sales online - ebay, etc as you wish.

If none of these steps solve it, so my next suggestion would be the system board, but I think it's rather unlikely.

    Best regards

    Mark

  • W500 Stuck Key error on startup with Thinkvantage key

Hello.  I have a W500 with a 2nd hard drive through the Bay of cart.  I installed Win2008 Server Standard on the 2nd disk.

When I boot (cold or hot), the machine and press the blue Thinkvantage button to get the menu of boot options, 90% of the time I hear a few beeps and then see the error "0210: Stuck Key 1 c" and told me to press F1 to go into the BIOS (why I want to go into the BIOS to fix this (, it's beyond me... thanks for the informative error message Lenovo and the reason why or where I have to go into the BIOS).  The 10% of the time I get to the menu, I press F12 so that I can choose an alternative boot and THEN device when I hit ENTER I get beeps and a similar or the same error on a go in the BIOS via F1.

Now, the W500 is connected to a docking station/Port Replicator Lenovo support.  I do not exactly have the model # handy.  If I boot with the W500 disconnected the Replicator, the failure rate drops between 90% and on 25%...meaning, I press the blue button, I get the menu options of what I want to do, I press F12 to go to boot options, I select a drive, I hit ENTER, and everything is fine.

It's weird.  I played with this laptop for hours with all kinds of combinations with or without the docking station, the number of times that I push button blue, cold / warm boots, etc.  There seems to be no rhyme or reason... that the failure rate decreases somewhat when you use is not the Replicator.  However, I really need to use the Replicator (I guess I could get Win2008 starting up and then anchor it but this still does not resolve the problem).

First of all, Yes, I need to use the blue Thinkvantage button because my main drive is Windows XP and Server 2008 do not share the same boot manager.  Second, there is no other connected USB devices that can cause the machine to panic thinking that this isn't a boot (like my external drive) device.  Thirdly, the settings in the BIOS on the boot priority are a bit out of place because the blue Thinkvantage button is supposed to replace... but in the case you are wondering it is on cd/dvd first of all, 0 then, drive 1 third.

Any ideas or have you seen this?  This error or problem occurs only when I press the Thinkvantage button... which means, if I just restart my XP disc starts just dandy.  But every now and then I need to start on my drive Win2008.

Thank you very much in advance for your help!

    -Eric

    Eric, welcome to the forum,

I don't know exactly why you get the key message stuck, maybe your pushing too early or too long?

Why do not forget you the ThinkVantage button and just press F12 when the message «to stop the startup...» "watch, this will take you directly to the start menu and faster.

    Hope this helps

  • Stuck Key 01 error 61 T

    Hello!

One of my colleagues is an error while booting, it displays as:

    Error

    0210: stuck key 01

    Press to Setup

I tried pressing F1 and it wont let me continue in the installer there at - it another way to solve this problem.

    Please advise!

    Oamedcophy

This type of message means usually only one or several keys on the keyboard are stuck in the down position. You can inspect the keyboard to see if the keys are blocked mechanically. It is also possible that a spill of liquid caused one or more keys electrically 'Short' and watch the BIOS as if the key is stuck.

If you are mechanically handy, you can remove the keyboard for inspection and cleaning. The material for the T61 series Maintenance Manual provides detailed instructions on the installation/uninstallation of the keyboard as well as the numbers for replacement keyboards. You can find used keyboards cheap on eBay, etc.

By the way this post made me smile. This kind of problem and message goes back to the first IBM PC. I remember getting a BIOS message such as "error of keyboard: press to continue." The message was issued because I forgot to plug the keyboard in the system unit. It's a message ridiculous because if the keyboard is disconnected or broken how BIOS will detect that you pressed F1 or any other key?

  • Acer W4 W3 bluetooth keyboard lag / stuck key

    Hey everybody,

Everyone has noticed that there are problems with the Acer Iconia W4 with keyboard?  I have used with the W3 and had no problem at all, but now that I use on the W4, I often get massive lags (2 + seconds) between when I type something and show on screen.  He also picks up a character ('stuck' key) very often, with something like 20 or so repeating characters.  It's really annoying because not only what I need to remove super long chain of repeated characters, but the delete key gets stuck too and deletes everything I typed.  And this only happens when there is WiFi traffic, with the fact that it is the worst when I'm loading/downloading on the FTP servers in the back while typing... looks like the WiFi signal is ruin the BT signal.

When I get on the W3, no problem.  I also changed the battery, just in case, without success.  Mouse Bluetooth has no problem but... Although I've read elsewhere here of people with mouse lag.

    Thank you all.

I ran fixmbr too, but you don't need to contact your manufacturer for assistance.

It is extremely unlikely that any computer purchased at a store bought on this planet will have installed XP Recovery Console.

It is extremely unlikely that any computer purchased at a store bought on this planet will be accompanied by a genuine XP installation CD bootable that can be used to start the XP Recovery Console.

It's extremely likely that any manufacturer on this planet will send you an installation CD XP genuine for you can start in the Recovery Console.

It is extremely likely that the majority of the posters on the forums is not any type of bootable XP media.

It is extremely likely that the majority of the posters on the forums have never actually seen, possessed or otherwise come into contact with an XP bootable installation CD authentic in their lives, or if they already had in their possession, it is now nowhere to be found.

I wonder why never support engineers offer this idea for the Recovery Console.

    (a) they do not know how
    (b) they are not allowed to post anything that isn't in a KB article
    (c) they are not allowed to post links to any place outside of Microsoft
    (d) your idea here

You can make a bootable CD of XP (no XP media required) Recovery Console.

If you have no XP bootable media (or aren't sure you have) create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and do not forget.

This is not the same as recovery disks that might have come with the acquisition of the system store.

You can make a bootable Recovery Console CD by downloading an ISO file and burn it to a CD.

The ISO bootable image file you need to download is called:

    xp_rec_con. ISO

    Download the ISO from here:

    http://www.mediafire.com/?ueyyzfymmig

Use a new CD and this simple and free program to burn your ISO file and create your bootable CD:

    http://www.ImgBurn.com/

Here are some instructions for ImgBurn:

    http://Forum.ImgBurn.com/index.php?showtopic=61

It would be a good idea to test your bootable CD on a computer running.

You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive.  These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load.  If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.

When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:

Press any key to boot from CD...

    Installing Windows... going to pronounce.

Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.

Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)

You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).

You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS.  It's the same as the

C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.

The Recovery Console allows base as file commands: copy, rename, replace, delete, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.

For a list of the commands in the Recovery Console, type help at the prompt of commands or read on here XP Recovery Console:

NTVDM is the program that emulates back and very old windows. There is none
the reason that the NVidia Control Panel would need this.

Registry programs, outside the cause of problems, often have a facility to cancel.
    Look in the program.

Plan to run the restore of the system (type in the search on the start menu) to roll
Back to a date that precedes ran you the program.

  • A virtual machine or the template with the same name is already registered. Server error: the specified key name or identifier already exists.

    Hi all

I have a 5.5 esxi server just the a virtual machine running at the moment. I try to clone this as shown below:

    http://nchrissos.WordPress.com/2013/04/22/cloning-a-VM-without-vCenter-in-ESXi-5-1-free-edition/

    However, I get the error:

A virtual machine or the template with the same name is already registered. Server error: the specified key name or identifier already exists.

I have no vcenter (yet), and it's just the 1 vm. The virtual machine is turned off. I get this error regardless of the name, I said that when I choose "add to the inventory.

    All advice appreciated.

    Thank you

    Oh dear...
you read bad advice on the internet and then you get also the stupid advice here.

    Ignore both!

If you want to clone a virtual machine by copying - do it like this:

Create new virtual machine with the wizard.
Skip creating a disk for new customers.

In Datastorebrowser copy the original vmdk to the new dir, which has been created by the wizard.
Reopen the new VM and edit - assign the vmdk that you just copied.

The procedure of the blog is not supposed to work.
Sissine trick doesn't make sense either

  • Plans test stops with the error 'Array with key "BB0050569F23260000-null" not found ".

Dear gurus, I hope someone can help me with my problem.

    My SRM 4.0 Lab:

    • two servers vCenter v.4 + SRM 4.0 + EMC_Celerra_Replicator_SRA

    • two VSA Celerra with replication of work

    • two ESXi 4 servers connected to vCenter Server

When I am trying to perform a recovery of the Test plan, I got the error 'Array with key as NULL "BB0050569F23260000" not found. "

I guess it's something with recovery VSA, but cannot move forward, as I am a beginner in storaging.

I've attached screenshots of the box of diag "Configure storage arrays", maybe this will help.

    Thanks in advance!

without the hotfix SRA, you must rename your celerra VSA on the two sites do not contain not "-" in their names
