ACR 8.4 RC problem

ACR 8.4RC has a major problem with A7R 24-70 to 800 ISO and above. The image is sharp, but the image can be best described as marble. It improves with sharpening all deleted. For reference, this does not work with IDC or C1. 5.3 Lightroom has the same problem but not nearly as bad and is still usable.

to 501AF: thank you. You confirmined what I found by installing 8.3 on another computer.

8.3 seems to be able to do a however slightly better noise reduction.

Sharpening

  • Quantity 0
  • Radius of 0.7
  • Retail 0
  • Masking 0

Noise reduction

  • Luminance 30
  • Luminance detail 20
  • Color 50
  • Details of colors 20

The solution that finally worked for me was to take everything to 0 and then work up from there from Luminance.

It was the first test images, taken in the morning, the FE2470 arrived. The drizzle has just stopped. The cloud base was about 4000 ft with trays about 6000-8000.

Looking for another feeling.

  • ACR 4.6 cursor problem

OK, this is probably a really stupid question.  Last week a friend was playing with my CS3 Photoshot, w/ACR 4.6.  Essentially self educate themselves with it.

Since that time, every time, I opened the cab and adjust the cursor of my 'black' in 'Basic', I get this blue effect appearing on the image, I move to the right the slider 'Blacks' most and brightest becomes blue.  I tried to find a way back to the front, but have had no success.  I know it's probably something so simple, that I just lack.

    Thank you

  • 5DS (r) tone curve in LR and ACR: crushed shadows with all profiles

    Hello

When Adobe released LR CC with what seemed at the time as a preliminary treatment of 5DS (r) Canon files, I noticed that the tone curve with all profiles (Adobe standard or brand profiles) seems to produce shadows much darker than all the other Canon cameras. It's something that dpreview noticed too:

"In addition, comparisons are slightly complicated by the aggressive tone curve that ACR applies to files R 5DS crushing its blacks, and potentially reduce visible noise levels by making them darker. We anticipate a later version of ACR to solve this problem, how reprocess us and return on these results.

With the release of 2015.1 LR, I expected at this behavior needs to be corrected, but this is not the case. Is this something that is inherent in the 5DS (r) files? Adobe plan to fix this?

    Thank you

For your convenience, I made versions of 'Contrast medium' profiles if you want a low contrast default starting point.

    For the 5 d: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/35081204/Canon%20EOS%205DS%20Medium%20Contrast.dcp

    For the 5 d r: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/35081204/Canon%20EOS%205DS%20R%20Medium%20Contrast.dcp

To install on Mac, download and copy them here: Users/USERNAME/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/CameraProfiles /

To install on Windows, download and copy them here: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\CameraProfiles\

Then again run Camera Raw / Lightroom and you will see the name 'Contrast medium' appears as an option in the dropdown menu profile (in the camera Calibration Panel), as an alternative to other profiles.

  • Adobe Camera Raw with CS4?

Finally had time to CS4 installation (don't laugh) on a laptop computer that I own. Normally I use Nikon View NX2 and Nikon Capture NX2 for the development of the NAVE, so I can't live without ACR.

No problem with the installation of the PS, but cannot open my Nikon NEF RAW files. Thought that I could download and install RTAs, which then wanted to Adobe Application Manager, but this path leads nowhere.

Can I get a version of ACR that works with CS4? I guess Lighroom would be an option too. Thoughts?

Understood, but the basic question is really "but cannot open my Nikon NEF RAW files."

The best starting point is the model of the camera, then the required CAB version is clear.

CS4 is not compatible with the version of ACR to support your camera.

  • Files of Nikon RAW (ACR 9.4) opening in PS CC but NOT in BridgeCC. Adobe says known problem.  Do you agree?

I downloaded trial versions of PS CC as well as ACR 9.4 for use with a Nikon D750. PS opens these files, but does not have the bridge.

Adobe said it is the so-called problem with Nikon and bridge.  I can't find any info online that confirms what they say.  Support of Adobe has been disappointing...

Does anyone else have this problem?  A solution?

    Thanks to gener7 and R_Kelly.

I have discussed these approaches with Adobe technical support today and import from a device works indeed.

I do not have an SD card reader (that's why I tried to get the images directly from the camera in the first place) but that seems very promising.

It is certainly a problem with PS and bridge CC and 'talk' to the memory card in the camera.  Fortunately, Adobe and this forum led to ways around that.

    Thanks a lot again!

  • Problems with ACR and DNG Converter for Nikon D7100

    Hello

I tried different ways to solve my problems but I don't know what to do with the work anymoreNothing. I have Adobe Photososhop CS5 student version

I tried several times to update camera raw (following instructions of videos) and I still get the message: "Photoshop Camera Raw 6.7 update - there was an error downloading this update. Quit and try again later. "

When I try to run the converter DNG for my Nikon D7100, I get the message: "there is no disk in the drive. Insert a disc into the/Device/Harddisk1/DR1. I press "continue". The DNG format appears and I select the folder where my. RAW files are located. When I try to convert, I get the message "no items matching your search. The software does not see my files.

I don't understand why I can't update my ACR; is it because it is an older version of the student. Should I uninstall I'm afraid to do it and not be able to reinstall it. It always works for me with my my photos taken with my D80.

    Need help, please.

First of all, the D7100 requires at least 7.4 camera that is only compatible with Photoshop CS6 Raw. About the DNG Converter, you need at least version 7.4, but you might as well download and use the latest version if it is compatible with your operating system. When you choose the folder containing your images, just click once to select the folder, but do not open the file. The DNG Converter works at the file level. If you open the folder that contains your NEF files, then you will get the message that you receive.

  • Problem with desaturation at the opening in ACR

When I open an image .jpg as camera raw (v. 6.2.0.29), then immediately save this image as a .jpg (quality 12) file in CS5 (v. 12.0.1x32) without any changes (but under a different name), newly recorded .jpg is significantly desaturated color compared to the original.  It's not happen if I open the .jpg bypassing ACR and back up immediately (under a new file name) without any changes.

In confusing on this, I have also noticed that when I open a .jpg file in CS5 as a camera raw, then immediately open the .jpg even without going by camera raw and compare them side-by-side, there are significant differences between the two histograms.

What in the world I am doing wrong?  Given that it only happens when I open a .jpg file as camera raw, and not in outside ACR CS5, I guess there must be something in ACR.  However, I could not find a problem with the settings in ACR, and no change, I've done in ACR seems to influence the outcome.

Any ideas what I am doing wrong, or where I could get?

    Thanks in advance...

  • Still a problem with the installation of ACR 6.1 program?

    I have PS CS5 on Win7 64-bit.

Noting that there is an update of ACR 6.1 with today's date on the downloads page, I got and run the installation program.

He stopped and said, "some updates could not be installed" and below, "update is not applicable".

I tried the update in aid of PS - he said, "all your apps are updated".

However, my ECA is still 6.0.

    Is it still a problem?

    Hi John,.

You might want to take a look at this forum thread: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/650599?tstart=0.

If the removal of the update of the AAM 1.0 folder still does work for you, we need your help by sending several update/install files on your system (details included in the thread above).

    Thank you

  • ACR update problem

    Hello

I'm on a Mac 10.8.5 CS6.  I recently downloaded the update ACR version and it intoxicated my DNG conversion, put the graph of the flower instead of pictures, AND so far, I can't use levels in Camera Raw.  I followed the discussion of 1827569 and tried to redownload ACR 8.8, without success (after it is unzipped my desktop, I clicked it, it opens up to the installation of Patch from Adobe, then goes to the page update has failed.)

I'm doing something wrong?  I used this information to the chain of the discussion.

    CS6 - Mac: http://swupdl.adobe.com/updates/oobe/aam20/mac/PhotoshopCameraRaw7-7.0/8.8.70/setup.dmg

Thanks in advance for your advice.

    Hello Lor,

The patcher does probably not being designed to upgrade downgrade vs.

Try instead this stand-alone Setup program.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

  • Problem with the Organizer - it does not show changes to ACR

When I open JPEG files in ACR, apply the changes (for example, Saturation - 100), click done, and then to open these files in the Organizer - it does not show changes in the cab so that I can't use an option File/Export as a new file. When I click on this file in the Organizer menu and open again in the editor, the image opens in ACR (not Photoshop editor) with changes

In the example below you can see that in the Organizer in metadata / Camera Raw/Saturation (in Polish "my") = - 100, but does not show the image in black and white. I do something wrong? Help, please.

    organizer-problem.PNG

In short, the changes you make in ACR are saved in the section of metadata of jpeg files when you click on "Done" you demonstrated.

You are right, the thumbnails are not updated in the Organizer, and changes are not taken into account when the export of the Organizer (unlike what I thought).

When you reopen the file of the editor or organizer, it is automatically opens again in the ACR dialog box and leaves you the choice of the original version, the default value 'auto', ACR, your 'custom' corrections correction or corrections of the already modified the file. That's fine when you modify or re - edit files individually, but this isn't the solution for the process of 'batch' as an export or by applying the same correction to a batch of files.

My suggestion is to use a workflow that I tested recently.

Let's say you have a batch of 20 files JPEG editing in ACR.

-You can open them all in the cab to the command "open in camera raw" Editor.

-You can leave the default conversion of ACR or add other corrections to some of the files.

-to highlight all the files in the film strip and click 'done '.

-You use the 'save' button to convert to DNG with the options you want. (I choose to create in the same location)

    As a result:

-your files JPEG is unchanged, no thumbnail is updated, the corrections are ignored in the export process as described above.

-You can import the DNG of their location (with a record of 'control' can help).

-the DNG is displayed with thumbnails updated

-they can be exported as you want

-You can see JPEG and DNG files

-You can even ignore the original JPEG (the DNG format keeps intact with a reasonable increase in file size).

-If you want a redundant storage, we can use the function 'automatically suggest photo stacks' for battery original JPEG and DNG.

    If it works for you?

  • problem with Preview on camera vs what happens in acr

I don't know if it's my camera or my photoshop cs6, but I pull manually and use AWB. I've never had a problem until recently. My images are superb in my viewfinder cameras, but when I open them in photoshop, everything is too saturated and dark. I opened in Lightroom and the images look the same as my camera. When I adjust in lightroom and click on "change in" photoshop, it reopens in photoshop, but is even darker and too saturated. When I'm outlining for the skin and deliberately overexpose the background, the image seems LARGE in camera, and when I saw it on my mac, but even once as soon as I open it in raw-black... more saturated and extremely difficult to work with all skin tones will eventually be very yellow and just YUCK!

I'm shooting in raw, so I don't know what the problem is only recently started and I don't know how to fix it. I have not changed the settings on my camera photo/photoshop. I was told that I should change my color on my camera space should be in Adobe RGB and sRGB not. I tried, and I still have the same question. I'm shooting with a Canon 6 d. If anyone knows anything, please let me know!

    Help, please

If they look good in lightroom, then I'm more likely to think the color profile changing what it looks like in photoshop. You use a standard monitor?

  • ACR 6.6 Release Candidate problem

I installed ACR 6.6 Release Candidate in Photoshop CS5 on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit computer, but it does not give the same results that I had with 6.5 of ACR and the same camera for a NAVE of Nikon (D700) file profile.  I would like to remove ACR 6.6 Release Candidate and return to 6.5 of ACR.  Doen anyone know how to do this?  When I try to install cab 6.5 again the installation fails.

Found in the location of the file and I am now 6.5 of ACR.

I received error messages when I try to edit in Photoshop, telling me that I need to update my ACR in order to move forward.  I get almost throughout the installation (after closing LR3 and CS5) when I'm told to close the bridge.  I don't use Bridge and it has not been opened at any time during the installation attempt.  I'd appreciate any help that would allow me to complete the installation.  Thank you.

Don't forget to also click 'Exit bridge.' Guess you know who...
