Acrobat contains printer drivers?

Hi all

I'm at work often the 'quick-IT support"If someone has a problem with any program, but especially the suite Adobe, even if I'm 'just' a graphic designer.

This goes especially for the suite CS5 for now that we have purchased and had installed by our Joe.

Specifically, I asked that my pc was formatted completely before the CS5 installation since I have this one succeeded to another person who had a lot of things on the machine that I didn't need and which might cause errors of program etc, I could practically exclude.

However, our TI-guy apparently is - say - 'in a hurry' and installed CS5 on three other pc outside my own in my company WITHOUT first removing more CS1 old and original that we used until then (talk about the possibility of program errors).

As hear my last paragraphs, it did not take too long until our marketing manager asked me if I could come and help out with a problem - print in Adobe InDesign. Among other things, we use the develop Ineo + 452 for some of our impressions of base.

http://www.develop.de/en/products/office_products/101__produkte-detail.htm

This copy-machine has a driver no PostScript which enhances the prints in a - for me - what many drivers of printer in a very basic way to do and which can be downloaded from the site (US print via intranet/network of the enterprise that is wired).

After you fix the printing problem, I realized that our marketing director printer driver has a few features that grayed out on my pc and pc another colleague could be selected and worked properly. I told my boss and she said if I could update the driver. However as we are highly networked and seems to have network administration special with respect to pilots the TI-guy who I contacted said he wanted to update itself we agreed.

The next day I asked my boss, she says that our big Joe had not installed the printer, but updated the old Adobe Reader/Acrobat (who he apparently has or had installed for her since "to be pressed") with the new Adobe Reader/Acrobat of the newly acquired CS5 package.

When I asked him why he had done so and not updated the driver printer for copy of Ineo machine + 452, she said that our TI-guy has stated that the update of these programs contain also all printer latest drivers.

I'm a little confused as to how this should be possible or if it is true that I have NEVER heard someone NEVER new or old drivers included in Adobe Reader or Acrobat.

Can someone shed light on this or support/miscredit this information?

All answers are appreciated!

No, you can have several installed antivirus programs, or other programs that are in competition with each other, but the Adobe applications, for the most part, do not fall into this category. Adobe programs other Acrobat (at least those that are used for printing) to install in their own directories and do not damage the previous facility.

I have InDesign since version 2 of CS5, Photoshop after I think version 7 front and Illustrator from the front of the 10 version (Photoshop and Illustrator have not the same problems of backward compatibility as InDesign, so I didn't install older versions during the construction of this machine, just a not remove anything in place during upgrades). I am currently running Acrobat 9 Pro and no version of the reader, but in the past have had early versions of the player on your computer with a full version of Acrobat without any noticeable problems, even if Adobe definitely do recommend it not (for Acrobat), and I have not tried to do it for a number of years.

You should not, however, install out of use for the best results, so to install CS after CS5 wouldn't be not a good idea (remove CS5 first, then install both again in the order), and uninstall older versions after installing a new, it is well known to cause trouble in the ID, so there is no valid reason to uninstall CS of these machines where it was left in place.

I have a printer that is attached to my system down Dell Windows XP, I want to access the floor running Windows Vista from my Sony system.  I managed networked the printer so I can see it in my Sony Windows Vista network folder.  However, when I try to access it, it gives me the following error msg:

Otherwise, click Cancel and contact your network administrator or the original equipment for the printer driver manuafacturer.

Can someone tell me where I can get these?

Download the appropriate driver from the printer manufacturer's web site.  If it contains a Setup program, run the program and when it asks you to specify the printer installation, create a local printer whose name is \\xpsystem\printer where 'xpsystem' is the charing system printer and "printer" is the name of the share.  This should create the printer.

You can also expand the downloaded driver and try to add the printer as you did before, direct the installation to the folder containing the driver that you downloaded.

  • Acrobat documents print all black

Our 'workhorse' LJ 5if has been with us for YEARS - and has almost always been able to do everything...

This 5if has a JetDirect Ethernet connection on our local area network and all prints him regularly... it gets a lot of use...

But now we suddenly have a recurring 'new issue' with ONLY ONE OF OUR EIGHT COMPUTERS (!).

Suddenly, it seems that each document Acrobat "PFD" he tries to print generates a page that is totally black point of being unreadable... coverage of 100% (except the margin areas)...  As this user has described: «as dark as the black cat in a coal mine in midnight...» ».

Mysteriously, this also happens when it prints to our other printer "workhorse", a HP LJ 8500 color laser... so it is obviously something to do with THIS PC and PCL drivers for these two lasers, as NONE of the seven other PC has this problem...  They all can print without problems both of these printers.

They can print the same documents that this PC cannot...

And yet, a cantankerous old HP LJ 4 prints like a gem... every time... from the same PC.  (PCL 5 vs PCL4...?)

We have tried to 'update' the HP PCL drivers (after all first try the drivers Microsoft 'default', then we downloaded new drivers of HP), we tried the Acrobat upgrade, we tried EVERYTHING UN-installing this (as well as Acrobat printer drivers), we tried to uninstall and remove all records for both partners - we even tried to create a new user account...  Looks like nothing works...

I am about to "blow out" Windows and reinstall EVERYTHING (and it is a DEMORALIZING, probably... task as an architectural firm, there is a lot of software to re - load), so before I resort to this 'last resort scenario', I thought I would post a "HELP!" here and see if anyone has a clue as to what the Devil's going on here...

I REALLY the don "t hope to spend the next 10 hours re-building Windows XP Pro and the configuration of the software on this workstation...

Even if this PC is less than one year (Core2-Duo @ 2.66 GHz, 4 GB of RAM DDR2, HDD 250GB RAID - 1, etc), I'd rather buy a NEW PC quite that spend my time to rebuild this Windows operating system and all the software...  Yee-gods!

    Help...?

So from my understanding, printing only from the Acrobat of a PC for 2 different HP LaserJet causes pages out of the black.

    Print test ok pages?

    pages printing ok other applications?

It's probably a matter of adobe, probably some sort of conflict with an update or something, have you tried slowly roll back updates of windows on a date where the printer was working?

The only other off-site thing I can think of is a really funky network problem or bad cable but that should theoretically make all requests.

Good luck, but I think you look a complete uninstall/reinstall if the removal of the driver/app has not resolved.

  • PDF print drivers

I installed acrobat 8.0 on my new window pc 8.1. The old application works fine except that the installation has not installed printer drivers.

I used to be able to create the shape of pdf Word, excel, etc.

    How can I solve this?

    Hey edwardo77227845,

Please note that Acrobat 8 has not been tested and is not compatible on Windows 8 platform.

Even if you install the software successfully, you will face problems with the same.

I recommend you to install version (the last is Acrobat DC) which is fully compatible with Windows 8.1

You can download a version of Acrobat DC free trial 30 days from here:

Download Adobe Acrobat free trial | Acrobat Pro DC

Just give it a try, and then I would like to know how it goes.

    Hope you like it.

  • Add print drivers

    Hi guys,.

When I reinstalled my mbp, I remember having the option to install print drivers which weighted about 1.3 GB, for the moment, I rejected it and now I can not install any printer IP (no AirPrint) of work, my question is: How can I access this window to install additional print drivers on my El Capitan?

    Thanks in advance.

Apple 'packages' of manufacturers to facilitate the installation of the printer drivers. There's nothing more than that.

If you do not have a driver installed for your printer, visit the manufacturer Web site, download the latest driver available for your printer model family, then install it.

Once you do this, future Apple drivers will be installed automatically when they are available.

  • Support - printer drivers

I have a HP Deskjet 970Cse.  I went to the HP support, printer drivers.  In the "Find my printer" window, I entered my product name and model # and search found five partners, among them a 960Cse and and a 990Cse but the 970 was a Cxi.  NOT a 970Cse.  What is the difference between a 970Cxi and a 970Cse?  Will be the driver for one work for each other... as well?

If the driver for the 970Cxi will work NOT satisfactory, what do I do?  Where do I go for a driver updated, acceptable for my 970Cse?

  • I have I can not reinsttall printer drivers or uninstall the old that I can't find. Help!

I have windows xp and a hp color laserjet 2600n. He worked for many years, but now I get an error of queue and cannot use one of the microsorf office programs. Error prevents from print or print previews. I tried to go into the printer and fax folder but cannot as it won't come back. Also, I went into Add / Remove programs and see some drivers to uninstall. I tried to install new printer drivers, but they will not install.

    Any help appreciated

Often, but not always, the symptoms you describe are caused by a corrupt print job stuck in the queue or a damaged printer driver.  However before you clean things up, on general principles, that you can download, install, update and run full scans with each of these two free programs:

    AntiMailware MalwareBytes
    SUPERAntiSpyware

Do not operate the two scans simultaneously.  Each will take a long time, so start it and then go do something else for a while.

    Cleaning of printers

NOTE: If after completing step has the print spooler is not always running after you launched the command "net start spooler", you will not be able to follow all the steps in "First Article".  Instead, go to the other link and download and get and use the utility 'cleanspl' such as described here.

    A. Clean on print jobs pending

    • Open a command prompt window (start > run > cmd > OK)
    • Type the following in the black command prompt window, and then press ENTER after each line

    net stop spooler
    del/q '% windir%\system32\spool\PRINTERS\*.* '.
    net start spooler
    output

    B. clean the old printer drivers and install the latest drivers by using the directions in One Article.  If you have (or had) a Lexmark printer, follow the instructions on the following site before installing the new drivers, as explained in its first Article: http://members.shaw.ca/bsanders/CleanPrinterDrivers.htm

    More information

If you do not have the CD that came with the printer, download the driver here--> http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=446154&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=446153&swLang=8&taskId=135&swEnvOID=228

Personally, I would use the 3.7 MB "package of Plug-and-Play" rather than the 86.6 MB 'Full Software Solution.'  In general, you don't really need all packages of auxiliary software that HP bundles with its printers - but it's up to you.

  • printer drivers do not install on Dell Optiplex with windows XP

My Dell Optiplex 745 is one of the workstations using a coupleof of network printers.  We had to spend a different network server printers when the old server is dead.  Dell Optiplex connects to the network but requires a printer driver must be installed.  I have the disc but still cannot install Brother HL 5250DN and drivers HP Laserjet 3055 printer.  The error is XCopyFile failed.  Technicians of brother and Dell have checked their end and the material is very well and that he is in fact the operating system software that is bad... I use XP Professional... What is the problem and how to fix it?

My problem has been resolved.  Apparently, brother and HP did not have universal printer drivers that lead to malfunction during the installation of my printer server 64-bit for my 32-bit user workstations. Had to call the COMPUTER group to install the printer driver on the server - dared not do it myself because it might spoil the workstations.  Then I connected from my workstation on the server and downloaded the 32-bit driver option that I downloaded.

Why companies can't simplify their software and make universal knowing that there are 32-bit and 64-bit users?
