Acrobat crashes when I try to read forms

I created an application form for my clients to fill on their computer and send to me. Two have completed the forms and sent me back - but the text runs off the page like a long sentence instead of packing inside the text boxes, I inserted. When I click on the sign + to develop the boxes and read complete answers, the document crashes and closes.

Acrobat Pro for Mac XI

Original document created in Word, transformed into a PDF file, text inserted in the document saved in the PDF format, e-mailed to customers boxes.

I tested the text fields until I sent them, and they seem to work on my computer very well. Don't know what the problem is. Their technical support is closed on weekends, and I need to read one of these documents by tomorrow.

Anyone know what is happening?

I thought about it. If anyone has this problem, here's what you do:

When you create a text box on the form to fill out, you must right-click the box, click PROPERTIES, and select several LINES instead of SCROLLING of TEXT LONG. If your document has not been signed, you can go back and change every text box of the form to fill out so that you can read the text.

  1. Open the document
  2. Click TOOLS at the top of the page - this opens a menu.
  3. Click FORMS, and then click MODIFY. Now you can click right into whatever the area, you need to set
  4. Click PROPERTIES, select OPTIONS
  5. Check the MULTI-LINE box and uncheck the SCROLLING TEXT ALONG
  6. Repeat for any text boxes to fill in should be adjusted
  7. Save the document
  8. You have completed

If your document has been signed, you cannot change it. It should go in each text box, copy the text by highlighting it and paste it into another document, so you can read all about it.

Hope this helps someone.
