  AdobePDF.dll is in the file Data1.cab. Mine is located in C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Acrobat8\Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional\ You need to extract the file "AdobePDF.dll_64" from the .cab file. You can do this with WinZip or 7-Zip. Everything you need to extract is this file, nothing else... Once you have extracted it, remove the _64, so the name of the file is AdobePDF.dll. Then place the file in any location you want and run the program it when asked. For a file location, I suggest to C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Acrobat8\

  Bill@VT, I tried to open Acrobat from the desktop and the subway without success.

  After some "trial and error", I understood the problem.

  I uninstalled Acrobat and installed again and it worked fine.  Then I went to update to Acrobat, and that's where the problem happens again - I was unable to open Acrobat.

  So, I uninstalled again installed back and disabled the update (no updates).  Now my problems are solved.  I guess the previous update is may be damaged, and that's what creates the problem - that prevent me to open Acrobat.  I hope that Adobe solves this problem, as I want to update Acrobat in the future.

  To disable the update: open Acrobat, click editing, and then Preferences, scroll to the Updater and disable the updates.

• Acrobat not communicate with this device.  I am running Acrobat Pro IX and Windows 7 with a HP 8630.

  My Adobe Acrobat IX worked very well with my HP 8600.  When I had a HP8630 analysis of this software part greets me with an error message "Acrobat not to communicate with this device.  In the settings, the software is to see my HP8630.  However, when you highlight the device, the error message I mentioned before.

  When I use create it > PDF from Scanner function, I'm greeted by an ' error while interacting with the scanner: the selected scanner was not found.

  Digitization of works with the HP software provided with the machine.

  I did a "repair" of the Adobe software installation, but nothing helped.  I went online and had HP properly install the printer software.  So it should be good to go.

  The message error occurs means that you must turn off the scanner, remove the USB (the scanner to the computer), then the scanner power back and plug it. It should work correctly.
