Acrobat Reader can read files in .ai
Acrobat Reader can read files in .ai? If this isn't the case, I'm looking for a viewer of .ai files. What would you suggest?
Thank you
Acrobat Reader cannot read the .ai files. As far as I know, the only thing that you can use to view these files is Adobe Illustrator. I don't think that there is a simple Viewer for them.

Cannot find a WEBSITE to an Adobe Acrobat Reader file.
On previous systems, Acrobat Reader files open online. I could then use the URL to reference the file in other applications.
On my Windows system 8, the drive of files open in a new window, and the location of the file is on my computer (c :)...). I can't send this place to everyone so they can read the same file.
How can I change this or how to get a URL address for the file itself?
You can right click on the link to the PDF, and then select open in a new tab? Or copy the link location?

Attach an Office or Acrobat reader file to Lotus Notes 8.5
Hello world
We have a problem in our society with attach them files, we use Lotus Notes 8.5 as a mail client and also Office 2007 and Acrobat reader 10The problem is, when you use any Office document for example, (it can be the word, excel...) and you want to attach the file to the option ' send to ' for the mail (in this case, Lotus Notes 8.5) client it pops up the following error:"There is no associated messaging program to perform the requested action, please install a mail program."We have Lotus Notes 8.5 as a current email client, and he's the ONLY client we have.In the software Acrobat reader produces exactly the same problem.Could someone help us? We are fighting with this for a long timeThank youThis problem doesn't seem to have anything to do with Office. There is a problem with Windows and your e-mail client. Apparently, Lotus Notes is not a handler for the recipient of the e-mail ' send to '. So, to add a send that contains the shortcut to use Notes. Your Notes documentation or the support for Notes web site you must give the answer on how to do it. Basically, you need to add a shortcut to Notes in your file send to. Path of the folder is %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo for Windows 7, but you did not mention your version of Windows, so if it is different, the path may be different.

It started to happen after I went to the office 356 and uses Windows 10.

You can not. You need Acrobat for this kind of task.

I bought the software Acrobat reader pro plan, but I am still unable to protect my files? How can I protect my files when tools only allows me to add them?
If you purchased a plan from Pro to Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, you need to use to protect the files.
I guess what you have opened is Adobe Acrobat Reader DC which is a free application to view and print PDF files.
If If Acrobat Pro DC is not installed on your machine, you can download it here: Download Adobe Acrobat products. Standard, Pro | DC, XI, X

I recently upgraded to Acrobat reader DC, my operating system is windows 7, I have produced a file that I send as attachment, unfortunately the size is too large to send, how do I optimize the file in Acrobat reader, the option does not seem to be available.
Hi mavisp97650958,
There are two ways to reduce the size of the page: -.
(1) optimize PDF Acrobat Help. Optimization of PDF files
(2) Split the PDF split a PDF | Adobe Acrobat DC tutorials
And both the option will work with the application Acrobat products download Adobe Acrobat | Standard, Pro | DC, XI, X, and not with free CD player.
However, you can use the option Send & follow-up to send big PDF files Acrobat help. Send and track large files online using Acrobat Reader DC.

Somehow, I downloaded and installed Adobe alleged DC update for the existing acrobat Reader installed on my laptop.
DC app has been a disaster for me in terms of generation of convoluted navigation and extra work.
In addition, I do NOT trust or want an application based on a cloud because of the deep and hard-learned risk, privacy and security, as well as the occasional loss of connectivity online and access, what urgent needs can get GROUND in terms of use of such an external cloud-based application.
Issues related to the:
[1] how to save a PDF downloaded and open directly on my laptop, a report file to save the file in the cloud and then copying it in the folder of the laptop? This process in several steps inside the DC is a frustrating PITA, as Adobe Acrobat Reader has been sufficient for my needs.
can [2] Alternatively, I remove CD and install the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is thin and easier to use for my needs and much, much more secure?
Thank you very much in advance for the help and deliberate in a timely & the readers attention. Today is Tuesday, November 3, 2015.

Hi stephenf95557665,
(1) you can simply save the file on your computer as allows you to save in the older version of the player, it is not necessary to register I your cloud of document.
If you save the file to the document cloud, you will be able to access any system from anywhere.
(2) If you still think earlier version users need, then they can probably uninstall the last being & reinstall the old version using this link http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

Acrobat Reader DC works fine and opens a PDF file without problem - until I have a word document open as well-, then the PDF file crashes. I can't open a PDF file, a word document is also open.
For troubleshooting, you can disable the Protected Mode (https://helpx.adobe.com/reader/using/protected-mode-windows.html#id_94783) and see if that solves the problem. If the problem persists, please re-enable the Protected Mode to improve safety.
Let us know how it goes.
