ACS 5.3.0.40 patch install

Hi all

We have just upgarded our ACS environment to the latest patch

(5.3.0.40.8) between-5 and -8, it has not installed a patch as you can see below.

--> question: do we need (or recommended) to install all the patches, including the 6 and 7, or the will one covers all the patches?

See the version of the acs application

Hello Stefan,

These hotfixes are cumulative. Each path includes all the fixes that were included in previous patches for the version.

This information comes from the release notes:

This is a patch for the ACS 5.3.0.40 version. ACS 5.3.0.40 must be installed before you install this hotfix. So the answer is that you need not install the patches of 6/7.

Please evaluate the useful messages

    Hi Marco,.

Here is the link for the download of the ACS5.2 patches:

Download any patch and place it in the FTP/SFTP server in your environment

Connect to the CLI ACS interface:

    Create a repository:

    acs/admin(config-Repository)# url sftp://starwars.test.com/repository/system1
    acs/admin(config-Repository)# user luke password skywalker

  • ACS appliance fails to recognize an installed certificate

When I install a certificate from CA - Windows Server, following the procedure of "Wired Dot1x version 1.05 Config guide" (Document ID 64068) and the 'Guide user to ACS,' I have the following problem. If I want to change the "overall authentication settings', I get the warning"could not initialize the PEAP or EAP - TLS authentication protocol because the certificate authority is not installed. Install the certification authority using the ACS Certification Authority Setup page".

But if I check "install Certificate", it is said that the certificate is installed correctly and it is also added to the "Configuration page of the authority.

I already found the following in the as 4.1.4 release notes: "turn off the Security agent, reinstall the certificate in accordance with the procedure and then re - activate the security officer.

I did it but I still have the same error, even if the security officer is disabled (I checked it in the console with the command 'show' and the CSA is off).

Can someone help me how to recognize the installed certificate?

P.S. I also see 2 devices in the AAA-server list:

-ACS01 (the name I gave him in the initial configuration). This one has an IP address of the DHCP server, even if I said NOT to use a DHCP server, but a static IP!

-Self: this one has the static IP I configured via the console...

I can't remove one of the AAA servers. Is it normal that there are 2 servers?

    Bert,

It seems that the certification authority that you have installed is damaged or poorly installed. I want do you is remove the certicate CA by using the MMC on windows in ACS and then reinstall it.

You, too, need to install the certificate authority root in ACS. You can install the certificate authority root in System Configuration-> ACS certificate of installation-> ACS certificate authority installation.

Also incase you use Verisign cert, you install VeriSign intermediate CA certificates.

    Kind regards

Yes, as says the - analyze becomes a more likely problem of copy/paste weird.  The other thing to note, 12.1.0.4.2 bundle of plugins is quite old now, since July I think?   Currently up to 12.1.0.4.8 - Enterprise Manager 12.1.0.4.0 (PS3) Bundle Patch Master list for the Agent and Plug-ins (side SGC and Agent) (Doc ID 1900943.1)

  • How do you know what was the latest patch installed on VMware ESX Server 3i, 3.5.0 207095

    Hello guys,.

I've been running an old server that was installed in a test system on workstation DELL - Optiplex GX620 (32 bit).

During installation, I had to confirgure the file: /usr/lib/vmware/installer/Core/TargetFilter.py to change the following line:

"interface returned. GetInterfaceType() == ScsiInterface.SCSI_IFACE_TYPE_IDE' as follows:

"interface returned. GetInterfaceType() == ScsiInterface.SCSI_IFACE_TYPE_ISCSI' this is it worked and I used it for 3 years now. However, right now, I was hoping to be updated with the latest patches and updates and I do not know if I just ESX or ESXi, or what was my last update, and what it takes then.

I used this command to get the following result:

    # vmware - v

    VMware ESX Server 3i 3.5.0 build-207095

... I think that the 3i says I have an ESXi 3.5.0 but build 207095 the buid even as ESXi 3.5.0 patch 5?

If this is not the case, how should I do to update? What is the KB # I should download?

I can manage using vSphere Client 5.5 and I can't SSH using PuTTY.

Note: When I run... "# esxupdate - bundle = ESXe350-201302401-I - SG.zip updated ' of in the folder where his property in the data store, nothing happens... just a new line scrolls.

    Also...

... is there any update for this system? I therefore believe that the patch software etc was not around when I was installing this server in 2010.

Based on KB http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1014508 you run ESX 3.5 Update 5.

  • Cannot download vSphere Client after patch installed

I installed the latest patches for my two ESXi v4.1 servers using the vSphere Host Update Utility. the servers are now build 1363503.  In a web browser, when I go to the home page of each server to download vSphere Client, I get the following error: error HTTP 404 not found.  The link points to:

    http://vsphereclient.VMware.com/vsphereclient/1/2/9/8/9/7/7/VMware-viclient-All-4.1.0-1298977.exe

What should I do to be able to download the latest vSphere Client for ESXi v4.1?

It should be fixed soon. I think not many people noticed cela and use the former clients to connect to ESX.

  • EXPORT the bug after patch installed

Hi, I have a big problem. In SQL Developer 1.5.4 without patch I correctly exported query results in different formats. But today I installed the patch. Export does not work, it shows the error ORA-00936 - missing expression. I tried uninstall patch (delete these files - "the patch is composed of two parts, the sqldeveloper.1.5.4.jar file will be installed in the \sqldeveloper\ide\lib\patches folder and the oracle.sqldeveloper.patch.jar file in the \sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper\extensions folder. ("To remove the patch, remove these two files and restart SQL Developer") but still, the export does not.
    Could someone help me?

This has nothing to do with the patch. The initial query fails at the point 1.5.4 without the patch. It's a regression in 1.5.1, but no associated patch.

It's really weird because my detail Section of the server ends with the Version of the OS
After that, the JVM details Section starts!

Which may indicate no hotfixes are installed, but that's just a guess.

  • Problems with patching: ACS 5.0 to 5.1 upgrade

I'm following the instructions to upgrade ACS 5.0 to 5.1

But I can't get past the first step:

Step 1 Install the ACS 5.0 patch:

Issue the following command from the patch CSA in EXEC mode to install the fix for the ACS:

    Install patch ACS patch-name. tar.GPG repository repository-name

    Here is my result:

    / Admin # acs patch install repository 5-0-0-21 - 9.tar.gpg mytftp
chmod: cannot access at the "* .sh ': no such file or directory".
Error: Could not open the patch 5-0-0-21 - 9.tar.gpg

It download the patch via TFTP ok, but cannot install it.

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you

There are problems in 5.0 with using tftp for file transfers that exceed 32 MB. There may be problems with the ftp servers that exceed this limit.

I recommend to start using the alternative repository type. For example, ftp or a local repository on the server.
