  As long as you are in possession of the admin password, you can install, Uninstall, change settings etc, in a standard user account (limited user account).
  There is no (negative) disadvantage of doing.

  Last night I reloaded XP pro on a new HARD drive on Dell Latitude C610 laptop mt after that last one of them crashed.  When considering the types of user accounts I see administrator and limited. This is not the first time I rebooted XP but it's the first time I see the designation limited to the account type.   Like "admin", my context menu lists "run as". In my (limited) internet accounts, 'run as' does not appear in the context menu. I wouldn't be on the internet while being logged in as "admin" for security reasons. I ran Shell Menu View (NirSoft) and everything looks good for 'run as' (It is on and I have not "extended").
