  There are some PDF types (such as those that are protected by password) that cannot be converted. But when this is the case, you will get a message during conversion and the conversion stops. It looks like not this is the case for you.

  What happens when you open the Word document converted to Word? You see an enable editing button in the upper part of the document? If so, please click on that. If you are still unable to select text in the Word document, try triple click to select.

  For reference, I will say that the quality of the conversion depends on the quality of the PDF file (see Will Adobe ExportPDF convert text and shape... |) Adobe Community). Thus, there may be cases where a PDF prepared by a third party application (a non Adobe application), may not be written to spec, and that can affect the accuracy of the conversion.

  Some sort of error to copy - paste internal brain here, I think. I tested more of it than this, but I made a mistake in keeping it writing.

  The problem is that, as imagine you, a hyperLinkURLDestination is not a string. The string inside what matters is the property of destinationURL , then use it, as well in the test and change:

          hls[i].destinationURL = 'http://' + hls[i].destinationURL;
  
  

  The IDML of edition is not a script, but it is also a great way to go! Just what works best for you. I suspect that the script is much easier if it works for you...

  Only, I have experienced the same situation. Support cat HP told me that Photoshop CS4 installs the TWAIN plugin with the original installation.

  You can download it from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4047

  Then put the TWO plug in/Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS4 / Plug - Ins / import-export

  Restart Photoshop and you should see HP TWAIN plugin in the Menu import Photoshops.
