ActionScript 3.0 in Flash Studio8 development?

My company has licenses of Flash Studio 8.0 and I would like to start learning how to develop applications that use the latest version of actionscript (in this case 3.0). I see only references to 2.0 in the IDE. Studio 8.0 is able to develop for flash player 9.0? Maybe some sort of plugin is available? Forgive my ignorance, but I really want to learn this stuff. We do not want to buy Flex 2. Any help would be great!

Thank you
Dave

These are the v2 user interface components, which means that they are written
ActionScript 2.0 and are therefore incompatible with AS3. In using this
special version of Flash, you can still post in AS2 if you wish (see
Publication parameters), in which case these components will reappear.

What you have is not a watered-down at all. On the contrary, it has a
souped version of Flash 8, which is otherwise not capable of editing
for Flash Player 9 (in other words, ActionScript 3.0). The title is a
bite, but Flash Professional 9 ActionScript 3.0 Preview is an * overview
release * of Flash 9, which gives all the indications that release the full following
Flash support ActionScript 3.0 and probably new AS3-based
Components to match.

> That I don't have to have to return Flex2? I hope not.

Of course not! ;) If you want to develop with AS3 now already, then
you will have to do with something that can compile to Flash 9 SWF. Flex
Builder 2 is an IDE and costs money, but the compiler (Flex 2 SDK) is
freeware.

If you can wait for Flash 9, so that could be yet another choice-
no doubt improved the pre-release in your hands.

  • Flex/Flash Builder development vs. others?

    Generation of application Flex/Flash Builder development has one advantage over the others? The bit I picked up appears to show that it can create an Android, IOS and Blackberry app in a project (of course specific build need to be addressed). I have not seen all up-to-date ways to learn Flex via Flash Builder 4.7. Everything I find seems to be 3 to 4 years. Still working with the material, I can say that it is somewhat outdated. Understand what he does, it seems to be a good platform to learn, but I wonder why the lack of attention to the basis of learning?

    Yes, everything you do in Flash can be done in the Air, most of the time with 100% of the same code. I recommend you to download FlashDevelop (its free, Windows only) and play with some examples of micro. After that, create a new project for mobile with FlashDevelop templates and reuse your code for mobile and compare the results.

    It's really easy once you understand the structure of the project basis and Air vs Flash. I think that the Setup is a bit difficult to understand if you are new to this, but after awhile, it will be a piece of cake.

    Nice day

    I have the flash media development Server 4 and I installed the dvrcast 1.2, I copied the dvrcast_edge files and dvrcast_origin for applications installation root / and I started coding with Flash Live encoder with DVR option enabled, but there is no record that he must create call flows in dvrcast_origin, my problem is very similar to this post http://forums.Adobe.com/thread/786658?TSTART=0 I did the same tests, but I also have to probe the DVRControlSync.swf and was not able to create this file, need help please.

    Thank you.

    I don't know what keeps the record of past here.

  • How do you put ActionScript 2.0 in Flash Professional CC?

    I just had Falsh Professional CC for my computer class and using actionscript 2.0 for the assignment. When I downloaded Flash Professional and as I looked for actionscript 2.0, he wasn't there but actionscript 3.0 was, so I need the actionscript 2.0 to do the assignment. Also, what is the difference between actionscript 2.0 and 3.0?

    If you have one under cc, you can do so by using the cc desktop application.  Check under previous versions.

  • Possibility to add support for ActionScript 2.0 in Flash CC

    Is there a way we can copy files from Flash CS6 in Flash CC to activate support for the ActionScript 2.0 again or has been removed from the code of the programs?

    Its actually quite easy it took me awhile to understand but if you CC you can download and install for free the cs6.

    To download and install previous versions of applications, such as CS6, follow these steps:

    1. Open creative cloud for the office and go to the Apps Panel.
    2. Filter the apps for iPhone by previous Versions.
    3. Choose a version in the installation menu.

    Hello world

    I posted a few questions lately and fantastic benefited other members (Thanks K-Glad).

    I have what I suppose be a basic question but I can't find an answer to it.

    I added a login script to a page, as shown below.

    Stop();
    eval ("$version");
    AppName = 'mikesapp. '
    loadVariablesNum ("http://bars.bevinco.com/mike/newlogin.php", 0, "POST");

    This checks the status of users and transmits them to the part of the site they are allowed to access. 100 = regional access framework, 200 = Franchise access, 300 Frame = employee access and framework 400 = access denied and back button

    this.onEnterFrame = function () {}
    If (_root. Checklog == 100) {}
    _root.gotoAndStop (5);
    }
    If (_root. CheckLog == 200) {}
    _root.gotoAndStop (10);
    }
    If (_root. Checklog == 300) {}
    _root.gotoAndStop (15);
    }
    If (_root. Checklog == 999) {}
    _root.gotoAndStop (20);
    }
    }

    My Question

    When you test the movie, I found that it was not moving to the section of the flash file that is related to their "permission level. I.E. I manually had my echo PHP back to flash, advising that The ACCESS REGIONAL has been used , so it should be move this user of IMAGE 5 of the file.

    I found it was stay stuck on the first image and can't move beyond 1 frame that I had something to do with the stop(); appearing at the top of the actionscript.

    However, when I changed the settings FLASH PUBLICATION of Flash Player 8 to Flash Player 6, it works perfectly.

    I tried to publish using Flash 7, but it seems that FLASH 6 is as high as I can go without losing its functionality.

    I'm curious to know WHY and will limit our users to use the site if they have a lower version of Flash installed on their CPU?

    I have attached the FLA project file and the PHP file, which is used on the server to manually inform the REGIONAL file signed or a person having the status of "100" level

    As always, thanks in advance to anyone who took the time to read this post.

    See you soon,.

    Mike

    Checklog is a string (even if it looks like a number to you).  Flash 6 license code sloppiness a little more than the later versions.  Thus, it is very common to users to find the publication for the work of the FP6, while more editing for fp breaks their code.

    You must use:

    this.onEnterFrame = function () {}
    If (_root.checklog == "100") {}

    delete this.onEnterFrame

    _root.gotoAndStop (5);
    }
    If (_root.checklog == "200") {}

    delete this.onEnterFrame

    _root.gotoAndStop (10);
    }
    If (_root.checklog == "300") {}

    delete this.onEnterFrame

    _root.gotoAndStop (15);
    }
    If (_root.checklog == "999") {}

    delete this.onEnterFrame

    _root.gotoAndStop (20);
    }
    }

  • How can I convert my 100 games flash (actionscript 2.0) in HTML5 now that swiffy is dead?

    Unfortunately I didn't swiffy would be killed until August.  I have a lot of games I built using flash with actionscript 2.0, and I do not know now how to export to HTML5 without swiffy.  Someone at - he found a solution?  Adobe has a solution for us?  Singular video showing how convert a very basic adobe HTML5 flash ad is no help to those who have made the beautiful games and complex using flash with actionscript 2.0.

    I'm excited about learning all these new languages like actionscript 3.0 which is not at all compatible with actionscript 2.0, but I have to convert my current games in HTML5 first before you spend another few years learning a new language.

    I didn't adobe address this problem that many people, but I found an application called flaexporter that only works on flash cc.  I don't have flash cc, and it seems not available for download as a "past/old version" of my adobe creative app download.  Is there a way to download this older cc flash application, so I can export all my games to HTML5?  I don't want to lose years of game development just because swiffy disappeared.

    I have the cs adobe complete with all applications to update software including cc lively.  Unfortunately, animate cc seems unnecessary, because when I try to open one of the games I put years of work into, he destroys this game completely.  When I publish the game, it does not at all.

    I create games for education and had used swiffy and flash because they were easy for a designer like me to use.  I'm not a high level programmer, but I've always been able to create and edit flash.

    1 animate cc told me that only a3.0 files can be imported and still work.  So, how to export actionscript 2.0 to actionscript 3.0 using the flash c6s that always works on my laptop?  I don't see the option export for actionscript 3.0 in flash c6s, and I do not see the option "successfully" import ActionScript 2.0 cc animate.  Is there something I'm missing here?   Someone at - he found a solution to this problem?

    2. instead of trying to figure out how to export a2.0 a3.0, just so that I can open it to animate cc, then export to HTML5, is there an easier way - similar to swiffy, who has ignored all these steps your time?

    If anyone has an answer, thank you!

    Please do not cross-post.

  • Develop an extension for flash

    Does anyone know how to develop an extension (MXP file) for flash 8 or 9? What kind of language should we use if we want to develop an extension. C++ ? JAVA? Where can I download development tools to develop the extension?

    with papervision, they developed a library of Actionscript classes standard which are just developed into normal flash and then in a press release, it looks like they have just gathered in components to provide an easy way for developers to interact with it and make use of its features.

    The .mxp format is a way of winding upward of the component and other things like orders in a selfinstaller format to be distributed.

    So if you are of the new libraries for flash type of as the DLL, then you can just develop them in Actionscript and distrubite as such or update components to protect the code.

  • Berry 9000 screen flashing in the development of black game

    Hi all, I had a problem before with a screen flashing when developing a game for BlackBerry 8100. I solved this problem of the mobile OS update to the latest version.

    Now, I have a similar problem with BlackBerry 9000 "BOLD". I did a test of game paint 7 rectangles of different colors on the screen (using fillRect).

    The game doesn't do that. Paint 7 rectangles superimposed on the screen, and when I press a key, I change the last color of rectangle.

    On the Simulator (JDE v4.6) it works very well, it only shows the last rectangle painted on the screen. The game continues to Flash on mobile (OS v4.6) all rectangles, it does not show only the last rectangle. There is talk of a measuring device? This is not fast enough to draw all the rectangles until the screen refreshes it self! Does anyone have a solution to this?

    Update: I noticed that if I leave the open device menu (the one that has the option close). The flashing stops. The application is still running because I did change the color of the last rectangle automatically after 1 second and flashing stops when the menu of the camera is open and it restarts when I close the menu.

    As far as I know canvas is not doublebuffering, then this might be the cause of your problem. If you are not playing into the peripheral midp1 then extend GameCanvas and your problem should be sovled. If you make the game for midp1 devices then consider using preprocessing to extend the canvas for these phones and GameCanvas for the rest.

  • WebService, actionscript 3 and flash

    Hello

    a simple question: is it possible to use the webservice with actionscript 3.0 and flash?

    I know it's possible with actionscript 2.0 and actionscript 3.0 with flex, but in flash...

    Thank you

    I tried today with your tutorial and get the temperature, so that it works. Great!
    The previous error was probably due to the webservice binding that is not valid or overloaded.

  • problem of adding - actionscript/flash is able to calculate correctly?

    Hello
    I add two float numbers that return an incorrect result. Here's what I do...

    var simpleMath:Number is Number (parseFloat("110.50")) - Number (parseFloat("107.10")).;
    Alert ("mathematics simple =" + String (simpleMath));

    The result I get is... Simple calculations = 3.40000000000001

    How is that possible?
    I tried...
    var simpleMath:Number = Number (110.50) - Number (107.10);

    var simpleMath:Number = 110, 50 - 07.10;

    var numba:Number = 110.50;
    var numbb:Number = 107.10.
    var simpleMath:Number = numba - numbb;

    They all give the same result...

    When I try this:
    Final_Payment.text = Number (Total_Payment_Due.text) - ((Number (Payment_Count.text)-1) * Number (Payment_Amount.text));
    Where Total_Payment_Due.text = 110.50 and 36 = Payment_Count.text and Payment_Amount.text = 3.06
    I get this result: 3.39999999999999...

    Is someone can you please tell me what I'm wrong. Or is there a problem with actionscript/flash...

    I use actionscript within a savecontent Flash and Cold Fusion 7.0.1 form variable.

    It drives me crazy...

    Also, is there a function rounded for floats? I know the Math.round () but it only works on integers.

    Any help would be appreciated to extreemly!
    Thanks in advance,

    It's the same old problem we always had with floating stored in the memory of the computer... Flash not only. To deal with
    dollars and cents, you can make it easy on yourself by multiplying both sides by 100 and rounded to eliminate decimals, can
    final calculation divide by 100.
    You can also multiply/divide by 1000 if you need greater precision in the slot.

  • I use flash to build a floor plan Viewer and editor?

    I want to build a program that any floor plans and allows the user to place furniture in the space. The features will be quite simple, similar to a puzzle game. I have a menu on the side drop-down list with different categories such as chairs, sofas, beds, and then the user can place these objects in the scene and rotate and resize. Before making further research in actionscript, I thought that I would ask people with experience to see if it was possible. I could write this program and publish different versions so it could also be used on iphones and androids? I've been looking into Flash mobile development and I feel optimistic. I would love to get comments about people making applications mobile using flash and if there is any advice they could offer for someone begins, thank you.

    Yes, flash pro can be used for this.

    Video/content Flash crashes instantly, so it does not right click and enter the settings to disable hardware acceleration. This issue has not been resolved for more than 2 years in the other forum posts, but I finally did. You will need to temporarily DISABLE your recording and playback devices in the sound menu of the windows. This will allow you to read flash content (it me helped), just enough to disable the accelertion material.
