Hi Holahussam,

  • Where exactly has disabled the Webcam?

If you have disabled the webcam in Device Manager, you can follow the steps below and try to activate again.

a. Click Start.

(b) in the start menu search box type devmgmt.msc and in the list, click devmgmt.

(c) in Device Manager, click view.

d. now click on view devices.

e. you should see Imaging devices in the list.

f. expand the imaging device and right click on the webcam and turn it on.

Check if it helps.

If the steps above do not help, you can try to uninstall the webcam drivers and software program and functionality and Device Manager completely and reinstall.

Access the link below for the steps to uninstall the webcam of the computer program.

  • Cannot find a download for the software of the Webcam integrated Microsoft.

Years ago that I bought a laptop Alienware M17x R2 since then I had to reinstall the operating system. However, when I went to the website (now linked to dell) I was unable to find the software that came with the unit. The base for the hardware drivers are standard for windows for the camera works, however it seems to work in programs like Skype and through web browsers. I know, there was a program that allowed the user to take pictures and video clips, but Dell doesn't seem to allow me to download it. I also can't seem to find a Microsoft software which (according to my computer) has been the manufacturer.

I just want to be able to take pictures with my webcam again and am not suggesting that I have to go to 'new' Dell or download delldock. I tried to go to dell, if they have the software for the webcam they did almost immposible to find, and they seem to have no care that I would want to.

  • Cannot install install software & driver for Webcam integrated.

Original title: WIN 7 64-BIT OS cannot install the software & driver for Webcam integrated

I can't install the software for the webcam on my Dell Inspiron N7010 laptop properly. I have WIN7 64 - bit OS.  I was on the phone with Support Dell technique for almost 2 hours. yesterday & their final solution (as always) was to uninstall my operating system and start all over again.  According to them, that missed me a file operating system which maintained the software Dell WebCam Central download successfully.  Can I install another software that would work with built-in camera?  Can I identify the missing OS file and reload?

These third party maintenance utilities can cause many problems, if you have used any registry cleaning module, if you can undo/redo changes he can do before you uninstall this program.

Then run the System File Checker

    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/1538-SFC-SCANNOW-Command-System-File-Checker.html

Deleting the files manually, when an uninstall fails, can also cause unexpected problems, namely that a reinstallation of the program says can fail because the origonal registry entries remain

First try a system restore to a date that precedes you disabled the camera, it could allow the camera back.

Try reinstalling the camera driver. On my previous Asus link there is a click to download on that link. You must communicate your model number or click on 'Auto-Detection model '.

There is also a forum on the Asus Support link, you can try to ask your questions here.

You can also try the update of the BIOS available on the download link and then check if the unit is on.

If it is a Realtek HD audio adapter, you have a Realtek HD Audio Manager applet in the control panel and a red speaker icon in the Notification area of the taskbar.  Check with your computer manufacturer or another advice for drivers Realtek HD updated to date.  Or you can download them from Realtek (note the warning):

  • Activate your Webcam in Mode safe mode Vista

I know that safe mode is very limited and specific uses and I know there are a lot of things you are not supposed to be able to do in safe mode. I also know that there is a workaround or a backdoor for almost everything.

I was able to find a workaround for my laptop audio, I shouldn't have to be able to activate. Now I'm looking for a way activate my webcam in safe mode. At present, it seems that I have to re - download and re-install my webcam drivers.
Does anyone know how to enable/activate a webcam in Vista safe mode? And anyone know where I can find free downloads for HP Pavilion Webcam drivers?
    Thank you for your help.

Safe mode is not a good place to use PC for general use, it is better to resolve error on blue screen. Blue screen error could be due to several reasons, including the hardware and software. I you suggest to contact HP support and then describe the problem, they might guide you to troubleshoot it. Since you said it shows the blue screen after booting, I suggest in safemode kind run MSCONFIG and then you will see the Startup tab and see what is starting up, you can disable some startup and see if the problem is resolved, if yes, there is a problem with a boot service you may uninstall it.

Toshiba does not provide drivers of webcam for 8.1 win or win 8
The driver of the webcam is part of the 8 windows and systems 8.1.

Of my knowledge provided Toshiba webcam drivers for Win XP, Vista and Win 7 but since Win 8 webcam is controlled by internal Microsoft driver.

However the webcam must be listed in point under imaging devices Device Manager
