  You need to install 8 AA on the new OS with your current S/N (the license allows 2 installs). After the installation, do all the updates if you expect any chance of 8 AA to run on the system.   So, I switched gears and decided to upgrade the old machine to Windows 7 Ultimate using the same process, but connected directly (no RDP).  It works beautifully.

  * PROBLEM * now my new machine requires activation, and it won't work with Windows 7 Pro license. In my opinion, he thinks that he himself has upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate.  How can I fix it.   I upgraded my Satellite Pro L300 Windows Vista to Windows 7 a few months back, now, I noticed the Player DVD no longer works! All ok in Device Manager, but the habit of reading anything.

  I have use a Toshiba Windows 7 upgrade disk that could be my problem. I used the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor and Windows 7 Ultimate disc.

  I tried to download and install the latest Windows 7 32 bit DVD Toshiba drivers but still no joy.

  Can someone advise procedure I should follow to correct, if I need to downgrade back to Vista, hope not!

  In Control Panel, select devices and printers.

  Right-click on the printer 8620, and then select set as default printer.

  Select the printer listed without 'Fax' in its name and confirm.

  The application used to print as if sure you select the print queue that does not include 'Fax' in its name.

  Dell Inspiron N7110.  Hard drive failure.   Recovery disks did not actually home.  Download Windows 7 Home Premium Digital River.  Everything works fine.  Tried to install Microsoft Office 2010 Microsoft also downloaded without success.  I guess this is because the operating system has not been activated.  I try to activate the operating system using the ABR program suggested by Philip Yip.  When I run the program activation_backup, I get the following message appears on the display of the command line:

  I don't really know what I'm doing here, but the key is not the same product key on the COA on the underside of the computer.  Don't know if I should replace or if, who's going to evict me constantly of the activation procedure.  I read there is another method which is to call Microsoft.  Is this true?  any suggestions on how to proceed?  Thank you

  You speak of my guides. Did you follow the instructions in this video? I added a few video reviews to explain in more detail the mechanism for ABR and solve the problem you mentioned.

  Do you have the CAL 25-character product key during installation? If so just select Yes when you are prompted to replace the key that the key of your COA will be there where the prompt:

  «Found key: XXXXX-XXXXX etc.»  WARNING file already exist replace? »

  This will replace the key on your COA (which would need Microsoft activation phone) with the Dell SLP found in the installation/reinstallation DVD factory Dell and requires no activation of any phone or internet.

  The key on the COA and the Dell SLP key are for Windows only, they do not affect Microsoft Office. Microsoft Office can be activated on a non-active Windows but theres little point activate Office until Windows is activated.

  I assume that you have installed Microsoft Office with your product key and I have a problem to activate it? Or have you had problems to install it?

  You may need to activate your copy of Microsoft by phone. You should explain to your issues in more detail with Microsoft Office. Where are you getting the key to the office, it is a map of MPI?
