Activation no GPU-Nvidia

I just bought a 2011 iMac, that is maxed out in the specs, but it has a video card that does not have the architecture for playback of mercury, or acceleration after FX GPU. I managed to activate MPE first through a youtube video. May not perform as well as the designated card, but at least his license. Is there a way to use my material more efficiently for Ae? My render times are awfully long.

I've included some photos of my specifications and settings

Thank you!

The first thing that jumps on me of your screenshots, it's that you're not book any CPU for other applications. It's bad.

  • DirectX (dxdiag) doesn't list that the Integrated GPU, Nvidia GPU

    Hello

I have a Dell XPS L501X running Windows 7. It has an integrated GPU and a Nvidia GT 420 M. It is to date regarding the Windows updates, drivers, and BIOS.

I find that it doesn't seem like the Nvidia GPU is never used - using Control Panel Nvidia to use either the built-in or GPU Nvidia makes no difference when you play a game (comparing the comparative analysis of the game). If I try to run 3DMark11 it tells me there are installed DirectX 11 hardware.

When I run dxdiag only the built-in GPU is listed. When I do the same thing on my laptop working (also a Dell XPS, different model through), I get the same thing, except when I have my external monitor attached (via HDMI), then there are two tabs to display, and a GPU is described on each.

Perhaps incidentally, but I noticed recebtly "Windows Live Display Driver" listed with the other two in Device Manager. Looks like this is part of Windows Live Mesh, and I've seen people talk about problems because of this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I tried to get to the bottom of this long!

I don't have it on my machine but, the display driver Windows Live is for
Windows Live Mesh, as you said.  There may be a conflict between her and
    Nvidia drivers.
If you do not need a desktop remotely via Windows Live feature then uninstall.
or somehow turn off (perhaps in the Boot System Configuration tab?)
    the Live Mesh service.
Maybe check programs and features before uninstalling via Device Manager.

  • Lightroom with 2 GPU (Nvidia + Intel) crashing

    Hello

I am under lightroom on a laptop powerful dell I7, windows 8.1

The laptop came with 2 GPU.

The problem is 1 day, all the nvidia driver settings are set to ALWAYS use nvidia and not intel hd.

When taking photos with the camera directly in lightroom, it hangs - Intel HD graphics driver crashes.

I tried many things, disabled intel hd (but which caused photoshop not to run, I turned it on again).

    updates the drivers later.

    Lightroom is updated later.

    try several configuration options

been to the FAQ of GPU, not help.

    nothing works.

Please help ASAP! I can't work like this!

Your laptop TFT is probably related to the Intel HD graphics path. What happens if you disable the Nvidia card, what happens then?

On most laptops the dedicated graphics card is used for the external displays only - or so also defined in the ATI/Nvidia Control Panel to to beused as GPU for applications.

What is the type of the GPU Nvidia? If it's not a real powerful, I don't better too much about, also according to the resolution of the TFT screen.

  • GPU, NVIDIA 8800 GTX and PhysX, Vista SP 2 32 bits

I have a large part of the informtion even posted in the forum user of NVIDIA as well in the hope of resolving my problem. My specific concern for this post is to know how to get my Dell computer with a PhysX card to play nice with Photoshop CS4.

    I have the following:
    -Dell XPS 720
    -Vista SP2 - 32-bit
    -Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTX
-PCI Express 768 MB dual DVI - HD TV

    -Photoshop CS4

I'm picky with my NVidia GeForce 8800 GTX and PhysX drivers so what get Photoshop CS4 to recognize GPU options. I'd appreciate any help.

Here's what I've done so far:

    (1) reinstalled Vista SP2 - 32-bit

    (2) installed the latest NVidia driver file: 186.18_desktop_win7_winvista_32bit_english_whql.exe. I double clicked on the file and follow the guests to install the drivers. In programs and features, I had listed: NVIDIA drivers, NVIDIA PhysX and NVIDIA Stereoscopic 3D drivers.

    (3) I went to the NVIDIA Control Panel and make sure that 1) the GPU of updated PhysX acceleration: enabled; (2) (select a SLI configuration: SLI enable (recommended); and 3), select the SLI focus display: specificities of the Dell monitor.

    (4) I noticed that when I went to my device manager, I had a non-registered PCI device. In the past, he indicated that the PhysX card is not registered correctly. See image:

http://i43.Tinypic.com/23tmgpi.jpg (tried incorporation pic with code bb without success)

    (5) checked Photoshop CS4, Edit | Preferences | Performance - Settings GPU: No. GPU Options available with Photoshop Standard. The greyed out text is enable OpenGL drawing and advanced settings.

    (6) I then tried just the PhysX driver itself: PhysX_9.09.0428_SystemSoftware.exe. When I double click top, he deleted the previous driver. And when I double clicked on it again, it installed the PhysX driver.

    (7) always had problems with my PCI Device Manager which indicated that a PCI device was not recorded. And Photoshop CS4 did not cooperate.

    (8) went to the Dell site and downloaded the driver Ageia: R167580.exe. I doubled clicked on it to expand the files that have been placed in the: C:\dell\drivers\R167580. I then went to Device Manager and right mouse click the PCI device to replace the driver. I have provided the previous path. In Device Manager, the PCI problem disappeared.

    (9) the Photoshop problem remained. I made sure that the NVIDIA Control Panel was enabled acceleration. I installed once more the PhysX driver: PhysX_9.09.0428_SystemSoftware.exe. None of these actions had Photoshop to cooperate.

    (10) tried various solutions on the Adobe Photoshop page: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/404/kb404898.html#finddriver

    (a) option 2 - Reset preferences
    (b) option 8 - disabled Vista Aero

    None of these worked.

    I have a few questions:

    (1) why step 2 was not properly installed all the drivers for my NVIDIA GTX and PhysX card? That's why Device Manager showed a PCI device problem?

    (2) what is the best way to install the drivers for my hardware?

    (3) why was it necessary to use the Ageia from Dell driver to overcome the Device Manager "problem"?

    (4) can I test if my PhysX card is 'active' or 'seen' by other applications or not? I'm not a gamer, so the only application I know is my Photoshop CS4. It is not 'see' the PhysX card.

    (5) how Photoshop CS4 to play nice with my PhysX card?

    (1) hell knows, that's between you and your system

    (2) just install them normally by double-clicking the .exe

    (3) manufacturers sometimes goofy to material things so that you have special drivers

Photoshop 4) can't see no PhysX card because it does not use it

    (5) how about you pull your system?

Why do you need to use a dedicated card PhysX if you're not game? Photoshop is known to have sometimes problems with multi-gpu solutions and your configuration falls into this category because you have active SLi

Yes you are right. Assumes that the features of HP people he has messed up

But you can find your like this:

    GT, GTX

Those who have been the suffixes that come after a card number (in the new cards they became prefixes), part of the confusion of naming which uses Nvidia.

In short, two cards with the same number but a different suffix will be different in terms of performance, for example: 8800 ultra is faster than the 8800 GTX that is faster than the 8800 GT which is faster than the 8800 GS.

It is an ordered list declining performance (even though there may be a few exceptions):

    Ultra / GTX +.
    GTX
    GTS
    GT
    GS/GSO
    THE

You can't say that 8600 GTS is faster than the 8800 GS (it is in fact slower), because you have to compare the 2 cards with the same number.

    Hope this solve your problem,

  • Package activation T620 GPU?

What is it? I have a T620 that I would add a GPU for RemoteFX and Dell says you need an activation kit purchased at the same time as the server. RemoteFX being an afterthought in my case, I can around that? Seems strange that Dell you would to buy a new server just to get the activation kit.

    Hi BCDave,

Unfortunately the GPU enabling kit can be purchased with the initial version as it includes additional support for GPU which must be in place. However, our GPU kits are designed to calculate high-performance GPU based processing and not for video remoteFX unloading. If you have 6 fans and 1100w power supplies in the system, you can add your own maps and see if they work, it is not a supported configuration, but it can provide the feature you're looking for.

It will probably give an error unsupported operating system or words to that effect.  I don't care. Conclusion of any windows error.

Go to Device Manager and click on your basic graphics card. Click on the driver tab, click on set to update driver.

Select the 'Browse my computer for software' and navigate to the folder of the driver that was created when you ran the file.

This file will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp42635.  Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and the driver should install.

Upon restart, your video should be fine.

Also if you have the device with the small yellow coprocessor. mark, download and install this driver.

If only the errors, manually install as above, by going to the file number in the SWSetup folder.
