• Active window loses focus when I hit and I lose my typing - HELP!

  I had a persistent problem with the current window/application loses focus as I type.  Sometimes it is, and sometimes I have to click on the window where I typed back to typing.  It is extremely annoying and cause me to be less productive.  I ran the antivirus, malware analysis controls, spyware checks, etc.  I noticed that I have an amazing amount of background running processes.  My guess is that it is the cause of my problem.  Any help would be appreciated.  BTW, happened to be at least 15 times while I typed this short note.

• 'successful test' window loses focus

  I use a slightly modified version of the example LabView Simple Interface operator vi. I use this for the user to choose what sequence of test to run.

  The problem I have is that many of the standard popups OR keep loses focus when they appear: the "serial number enter DUT" test pass/failure/end of window and Save_As for printing test reports, are all the standard windows OR this presentation pop up and then disappear because the thumb behind the main window of Labview vi.

  I have to use ALT + Tab to scroll through windows and return to any pop-up window lost focus. And the problem is that my client does not accept this!

  Any ideas?

  Hey Ian,.

  I know that you can make a window in labview come forward with nodes of property and a VI the value application server reference. It works within the bodies of labview, but does not retain the focus by other programs. Either does not have a window in front of internet Explorer just to other windows in labview.

  I continue to experiment to find if another parameter will do what you want better. At the same time, it's a start for you to try as well. Let me know how you go with it.

  I have this weird experience not only once but twice in two on windows 7 on x 86 and x 64 and it's just this day, I could say that I understood what causes the gene to have your windows lose focus randomly and repeatedly while your typing or do stuff a keyboard or a mouse scroll , then all of a sudden, windows became inactive and active again with a user deliberate action of any of the mouse or the keyboard.

  It seems that Firefox frequently loses focus of the window when I opened a new page. It can be a bookmark, a link open in a new tab using CTRL-click left or whatever. The following scenario always translates into the window loses focus (for me).

  1. Open Firefox.
  2. Open this link and save it.
  3. Close, and then reopen Firefox.
  4. Open the page just a bookmark using the bookmarks list and do not touch the window.

  I read this page a day, so when I launch Firefox and open the page, I click on it in order to scroll, etc...

  Hi, I have a problem with my bluetooth.

  When my bluetooth on my laptop computer goes active i.e. "B bluetooth" in the icon bluetooth on the botton in the Windows tray goes from white to green this problem run.   First of all, you need to update your Bluetooth stack. It seems to be quite old.

• Active window partially loses Focus

  I have a very annoying situation when the active window periodically partially loses focus on my Win7 Ultimate x 64 system.

  Usually, about every five minutes (but), what the window is active darkens its border, as if the focus is redirected. However, no other window gets focus.  After about two seconds, the window takes up its full focus for about a second.  This is repeated twice more, after what normal behavior resumes until the next instance.

  If I type while the border is dimmed, the new characters are lost.  If I click in the window while it is grey, full development is restored immediately, but then it fades again as described above, until he went through three dim / restore transitions.  If I analyze the performance of the system with the Manager of the tasks in this behavior, I see my CPU utilization increase of 3%-7% at idling by 40-50 percent, with the core 1 use being somewhat more pronounced than that of 0-based.  Also, during this time to the memory usage increases very slightly (about 50-60 MB), and then returns to its previous level.

  I just installed Win7 and am trying to install all my applications, and it is unclear when this issue arose, so there are a multitude of possibilities for which the application is at fault.

  Norton Internet Security says that my system is clean.

  So, I followed the usual exercise disable all non-Microsoft services, after which, the problem persisted.  I've disabled all the startup programs, saw disappears the problem, then research a binary file, the reactivation of half of them, then the half of the rest, etc..  Finally, I found that the problem was being caused by Gladinet (an aggregator of cloud storage).  I will now examine whether a solution is proposed; If this isn't the case, I can certainly live without it.

  I hope this will save others frustration and loss of time that I lived.

  If I have Firefox running in a single Windows account and switch to a different account (where I do not use Firefox) and then back to the account where Firefox is running, and I have to open a new window in Firefox, Firefox loses focus (in other words, I can't use the new window unless I first bring back highlight on the desktop.) ... and, no, it's not a Windows problem, as another program will include an expected. It's just Firefox that does this. Very annoying, btw.

  I use XP Home Edition, SP3.  When I'm working in an active window (say, MS Word), the window has become suddenly idle for 5 to 10 seconds and then becomes active again.  Everyone knows about this problem?  I thought it might be a problem of Outlook and run the detect and repair command, but that did not help.

  I had the same problem except that it was on Windows 7.  Well, it would not matter what OS is in my case.

  Symptoms: Everything seemed normal until I opened Outlook 2007 and had messages in my Inbox.  Once the messages have arrived in my Inbox outlook began to lose his accent all ~ 5 seconds.   For now I have disabled the supplement product TMA Titanium Internet Security 2011 trendmicro until they found a solution.  I'll just have to idetify and deal with any spam myself.

  To turn off the snap TMA:

  1. close Outlook, and then open the main console for Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security
  2. click on the 'Settings' button at the bottom
  3. click on 'Internet & Email orders' on the left
  4. click on 'Spam' on the left
  5 uncheck "Filter unsolicited advertisements and other unwanted e-mail messages" > apply > OK
  6. exit the main Console

  You can check THAT TMA is disabled:
  1. open Outlook
  2 tools > Trust Center > click on Add-ins > on the bottom, make sure that the ' Manage: ' drop-down list is set to "COM Add-ins" and click on the "..." button. "> Search FRO"TMA"must be unchecked

• C++ application loses Focus

  I have a Visual C++ application that sends a file to a machine of communication via RS232 connection.  To do this, there is a WM_TIMER loop that sends the junks of the file at a time.  Also, there is a dialog box with a cancel, button program button and the display of the percentage of the file that was sent.   I installed Windows 7 on a Dell XPS 420 a year ago.  Since the installation, every 2 minutes or so, the system will make a rattling noise and active window, I work with will be disabled.  It doesn't matter if I work in Word, on the Web or e-mail.  Everything I type or working on stops immediately (sometimes making me lose 2-3 lines of typo) and I have to go to the mouse and click once to reactivate the window.  Extremely frustrating.  I closed all background programs, run a clean boot and run spyware or malicious controls, and nothing has worked so far.  Any suggestions?

  HI RAWolfe,

  Everything first, go to Dell and look for any driver or other updates matching your system (use the serial number, but do not forget to change the operating system if you changed it when he sold to the current).  Update for those who are not topical - particularly that relating to the graphics cards and monitors - but really compare them all what you have now in Manager devices, and update that can be updated and are applicable.  See what follows to learn more about this, but here, let's assume that you are looking for not only those with problems, but who are not the latest available:

  Then, go to Control Panel / Power Options and make sure that your settings are not set to close things to the low "in 2 minutes.  Try to set reasonable limits to just to be sure.

  Rattling noises often mean a hardware problem and often mean the hard drive.

  Go to start / all programs / accessories / command prompt and right click on command prompt, and then click Run as administrator.

  Type SFC/scannow, go and let it run.  It will scan and try to correct some of your system files.  If all goes well he comes complete with no corruption, it could not repair (if it has these post of corruption here or try to analyze it to find the problem or files using http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928228.  Try to put all the corrupt files here so that we can see if they can be repaired with good copies of the installation disc (unless there are too many).
