AD account with password lockout invalid MOVI

I am allowing AD authentication for our users MOVI and I ran into a problem with our accounts active directory being locked. I have a subfield MOVI Setup on our VCS - C which is set to "Verify the credentials" and subfield rules only towards users MOVI subzone. If I enter my login and my password MOVI I authenticate fine and everything works. The problem is that if I enter the wrong password in the MOVI application once, obviously it doesn't let me connect, but it also makes the account of my company AD get locked. Our policay AD blocking accounts after 6 consecutive unsuccessful attempts to connect. To me, it seems that the MOVI application sends single attempt off the coast of several requests for authentication with a newspaper and since I have the wrong password my AD account is getting locked. Has anyone meet this issue before? I'm on the right track with what could be the problem?

    At this point your best approach would be to reinstall Windows on this machine.  When you start the machine, search for a key, press the first splash screen OEM that could be labelled 'System Recovery' and [quickly] press this button.

    If you do not have what you need to reinstall windows, contact the manufacturer for a set of installation floppies or try some of the suggestions contained in the articles referred to in the following article (which is on the news only that we're allowed to talk in this Microsoft forum taken supported)

  • Cannot access Yahoo, Gmail and other accounts with password in Firefox, but can in Chrome. I type the passwords in myself - not registered.

    Started happening today (22/07/2015) - after the re-opening Firefox this afternoon, I couldn't connect to Yahoo, G-mail accounts, as well as other protected by password. Fortunately, I could access these accounts in Chrome. I don't have browsers save the passwords. I always type them in manually. How can I access these accounts in Chrome and not Firefox? JavaScript or what? The whole Flash issue is also boring. I use more other browsers. Please fix, or I forget quite using Firefox.

    Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that turns off temporarily
    hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables
    -Add-ons (extensions and themes). If the problem disappears,
    that tells us something. If it is not the case, this tells us something else.

    • Step 1

    Type of topic: preferences #advanced< enter > in the address bar.

    Under Advanced, select General.
    Find and stop using hardware acceleration.

    Restart Firefox. Is always the problem?

When I go to user accounts is the only option that I change my password for Microsoft, I don't see an option to do not use a password at startup.  My concern is: I will lose my current email address due to move it to another location and may not be able to take it with me.  Microsoft will not allow me to rename my account and my email will no longer be associated with this account. If I lose my microsoft account, I'm afraid that I could not simply start this computer without a password for the account of miscrosoft.  I am the only user on this computer and I would like to be able to turn it on without using a password.  I hope someone can help

    With Windows 10, you have an option to sign in using your Microsoft account or just use a local account. Skip option is just below the part of the Microsoft account login. After ignoring, you will be asked to create a local account. If you don't have a password for your local account the first time that you set up, you will not receive a prompt to enter a password the next time that you open a session.

    At this point, you can try to remove the local account existing instead and create a new one without a password. So, let us know how it goes. If you encounter the same problem, it will be better if you could provide a screenshot.

    I did a new install of Windows 7 Professional on a workstation, and after all the updates, I installed Cobian Backup 11.

    When you set up backup Coabian first, the message "the account name is not valid, or the password is invalid for the specified account name" was shown.

    I went into the "services.msc" to manually set the password for the connection (the machine connects in a Windows Server 2003 domain), but when entering the dialog (properties/connection/account/local/search/select where you want to search for.) only the 'local computer' is displayed.

    I tried to enter the domain/user and the password manually, I logged in as administrator, I have excluded the uder from the server and have included him again, that I did everything in my mind but I couldn't solve the problem.

    There are a lot of options built into Windows to help you out of this situation:
    • Restart the computer with your Windows repair CD, then use system restore to set Windows in a few days (only works if you have recently changed the password).
    • Log in as administrator mode without failure, then reset the password for your existing account (the password is usually empty).
    • Insert your flash drive USB with the password key file (only works if you have taken the time to create such a key file).
    • Use the password indicator (works only if you have created a hint and if it's good enough to allow you to guess the password)
    • Check your paper files (works only if you threw down the password somewhere)
    After solving this problem, plan in advance and create, test and document an alternative admin account, same as you have a spare House key.

    Hello, I recently tried to set up sync on Firefox, and it seems to be okay on my desktop, running Debian and Iceweasel 21.0 since the mozilla repository.

    However, when I tried to connect Firefox 21.0 from my Mac, I get an error. Firefox on OS X gives me the twelve character code to type in my office, which works, but after that Firefox on OS X gives me an error saying my account or password is incorrect. I checked I entered the password correctly and about: Watch settings I have the correct account name (this is my e-mail address).

    I have the same error if I use the recovery key instead of the code 12-char sync thing.

    Would appreciate any insight of what's going wrong here.

    Have you tried to check the Firefox password manager to see if syn account data stored in it's correct?

    • Firefox > Preferences > Security: passwords: "remember passwords for sites".

    Clear the cache and cookies from Web sites that cause problems.

    "Clear the Cache":

    • Firefox > Preferences > advanced > network > content caching Web: 'clear now '.

    'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:

    • Firefox > Preferences > privacy > Cookies: "show the Cookies".

    Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problems.

    If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a profile in the new profile, but make sure not to copy corrupted files.

    Unfortunately, we are limited in what we can do to help with password lost or forgotten by Microsoft Policy, which applies to anyone who answered questions here. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/189126.  But there are a few options to try:

    Can you not sign in the itouch at all (because of the password), or just are not able to get online (and you are sure that it is a security password problem and not a problem of configuration or a broader problem with the Itouch)?

    You have another account where you know the password (assuming that they are not all the same) that you can use to connect and then probably to do the password changes to this account?  (I don't yet know if an Itouch allows multiple accounts - LOL!)

    I don't even know if this applies to an Itouch, but if so, make sure that you do not have the CAPS or NUM LOCK keys LOCK (or some similar keys may apply with an Itouch) enabled - this can change what you think, you type in something else (different case or a number or a letter) and the system see what you entered as bad (and make you believe that you do not remember of) the old password).

    Finally, if not blocked by the password, can you create a new connection by using the appropriate codes and configuration options, and access or security of passwords (if necessary or they can be created without knowing the old password of security, as it is a new connection) to verify that the problem is not with the old connection (perhaps it has become corrupted or changed somehow and you do not found change)?  If it's a computer, that's what I would try in a situation like this.

    This is what we can offer in situations involving lost or forgotten or problematic passwords - particularly with an Itouch where our knowledge of the device is limited at best.
