Add a delay in a test of type loop step

Hi all

a good with expressions and the loop type = custom?

Several lines of code can be eliminated if I remove the following:

I have a step that calls a C++ function, as a digital test

This function fails the first time they call it somewhat reliable

This function will fail without a delay of 500 ms between calls

Works generally called twice

Thus, using the tab loop, pass 1 out of 3 tests works very well, with a result record of every iteration, except that I need a delay between each call, preferably also located before the first call

no way to set this delay in expressions?

    Hello

    I use the COM adapter to interface with TestComplete.

    My current setup is that I have a Master file of sequence that contains two sequence files (one for each trial).

    The individual called movie file have 4 steps as indicated:

    Get property: Create the new object

    Calling a method to open project

    Call the method to run the test, and then pass the parameter in TestComplete

    Get the result of the property

    My problem is that if I want to spend a different setting in the step to call the method to run the test , I have to create another sequence file to do this.

    Is there a way to create one Type of step to call the method, run the test and pass parameter to TestComplete?  and how will this affect the other steps in this sequence file (for example to create new object, open a project, Get property resut)?

    Thank you!

    Jigg,

    Yes, I think it worked!  Thank you very much!

    Question: to chaange the param1, it is necessary to specify the module and change the value in the edit sequence window call under the table of parameters.

    Is it possible to build an easier user interface as the synchronization-> Wait-> Configuration window not to wait, where you can just put in the value of the parameter, and that's all.

    Thank you

  • How to get the parameter values of a step type custom when I create file and adding a type of step seq

    I use lv 8.5 and teststand 4.0.

    I did a step type custom and recorded at the MyTypes.ini in pallets of type.

    I specified a default module by opening the properties of the custom step of *.ini type window, then I put some values of the parameters.

    T1) when I open teststand and I add the custom step type manaully in seq file, the labview module parameter values are represented.

    But, if to use file (create and add support prototype stage), the labview module parameter values has the default value.

    Using joint file, how to get the setting custom step type values I put in *.ini?

    Q2) each type of step are automatically by name through the use of LoadTypePaletteFilesEx. When I open teststand and I add the custom step type manaully in seq file, the module is loaded automatically. Inside the attachment, I use a prototype of charge and a fixed path where the module labview is to load the labview module.

    Can I load module automatically without using a prototype of charge or how can I get a dynamic path of type step?

    I solved Q1 for myself by using the mapping tab of the parameter within the configuration to the default module window.

    Everyone knows Q2?

    Thank you.

  • Type of step IVI supports NI-SMU-4112?

    Hello, guys

    I have a SMU-4112 and four of the PXI-4130. When I try to configure my SMU-4112 with PowerSupply IVI step Type, an error occurred.

    -------------------------------

    An error occurred the call "RunStep" in "ISubstep" of "ZNIUGOL of Types of step TestStand Ivi"
    An error occurred during the execution of the step.
    Component works IVI control error: IVI configure failed for logical name ' 4112 ".
    Details: Attribute or property not supported. Attribute: NIDCPOWER_ATTR_OVP_ENABLED, Channel: 0 [IVI. Error Code: BFFA0012]
    Source: TSIviStepTypes

    --------------------------------

    Surely, I disabled the checkbox "OVP on" editing it IVI Power Supply stage dialogue. My system configuration is,

    IVI Compliance Package 4.6

    NOR-DCPower 1.8.6

    SP1 OR TestStand 2012

    My PXI - 4130 s work well with the type of step of IVI. Type of step IVI supports NI-SMU-4112? Or I do something wrong about this?

    Kind regards

    Joonam

    Hi Joonam,

    PowerSupply IVI step does not currently work with the 4112.

    The 4112 can't stand the ÖVP.  If the NIDCPOWER_ATTR_OVP_ENABLED attribute is set to True, the error you described is expected.  If it is set to False, no error should be generated.  However, an error is generated when it is set to false.  This is incorrect behavior in the pilot and has already been documented under the Corrective Action report (CAR) #437105.  This question will probably be corrected in a future version of NOR-DCPower.

    Step PowerSupply IVI is hardcoded in the attribute set to true or false, depending on the value of the checkbox in the tab limits.  Workaround for this problem is to replace your PowerSupply IVI step with a step based on a code module that does not seek to set the OVP_ENABLED attribute at all.

    I apologize for any inconvenience that this is for you.  Let me know if you want more details.

  • "Turn off monitor" in the behavior of type custom step

    Hello!

    Currently in the drafting of the types of custom step based on sequences (default adapter of my type of step is a sequence), I would like to define the right ' off track ' in my step type definition.

    The problem is that this option is not visible in the "default Options" tab... " The only way I found to do this using pre and Post Expression to the value "ThisContext.Tracing = True False'."

    But I don't like using Expressions of pre/Post in my type of stage (I prefer to leave empty for end users).

    Is there a way to do this without the use of Expressions?

    Hi zyl7,

    In your type of custom step, set the property to TS. SData.Trace on 'Off' (without the quotes).

    I hope this helps.

  • How to add or edit data in a file Type Def CTL?

    I'm learning the mode with the RIO evaluation package more recent fiscal year to "create a real-time Application.  I want to do something simple to change the function to output audio to produce waveforms that I do in addition to the included "ding" sounds "boing", etc..  I believe that (1) the data are contained in the SoundOptions.CTL file, and (2) I can use "export to Clipboard" to display the data in the existing table, and (3) in the Panel before the Type Def CTL, I can add a new element of the Enum.  My question: how to associate my new element an array of data new1D?  Or modify existing data to different waveforms?

    Thank you!

  • Method to add the subclass to ArrayList with stubborn type; What's not here?

    I have a list of paintings that I want to hold a list of objects that are all derivatives of a given type.

    I want a method that will add something to this ArrayList regardless of what legal type it is.

    I tried several ways; I thought that one of the two in the example code here would work, but none of them don't:
    import java.util.ArrayList;

    public class GenericExample
    {
      public ArrayList<? extends ClassA> children = new ArrayList<ClassA>();

      public void addChild1(ClassA c)
      {
      children.add(c);   // error on 'add' method:
    //  The method add(capture#1-of ? extends ClassA)
    //  in the type ArrayList<capture#1-of ? extends ClassA>
    //  is not applicable for the arguments (ClassA)
      }

    //  error on Paren below: Syntax error on "(", Type expected
    //  after this token.
      public void addChild2(<? extends ClassA> c)
      {
        children.add(c);
      }
    }

    class ClassA
    {
      private Object a;
    }

    class ClassB extends ClassA
    {
      private Object b;
    }
    Is someone can you please tell me what is the correct syntax?

    You are also right that the problem is with the add() method, but I still don't understand why this is. Why can't add an object ClassA list declared as ArrayList ?

    Forget the first half of my answer above. All the c r a p.

    The answer lies in the fact that the wildcard character allows the substitution of an ArrayList of ANY type, provided that it is, or is a subtype of, ClassA. Which means that it could be aArrayList. If this is the case, then it does NOT allow the addition of a ClassA, and because the code is unable to know what is the actual type, may not allow additions.

    Amazing to see what is going to make a pint in pubs. and the 2nd part.

  • Add the delay between periods of a waveform

    Hey all,.

    I have used Labview to implement a generator of signals using the 'base FuncGen' VI, (WF-Gen.png) and I'm looking to make a change to the waveform.  Currently I have my VI, set up to generate a square signal to a specified frequency and number of cycles.  For example, a waveform of 1000 Hz for 1000 cycles would go for a second.  My question is: how would I go put some points of zero V between each cycle?  I've attached a picture to show what I mean (Signal.png).

    Thank you.

    You need generate multiple signals and use Add a waveform.

  • How to add. Pat.gz as a new type of file / association?

    Issue of Windows 7.

    I need to learn how to assign a program to open a file type extension "." Pat.gz ". Note that there are two periods in the type. Each type available in Windows 7 is only the last period, so it is not feasible.

    How can I do this?

    Thank you

    When you double-click the file Extension Windows ask you what program you want to open the file with, and y at - it a browse option so that you find and open with the proper.exe?

    If you right click on the file Extension is there an 'Open with' option for you, to go to the correct .exe.

    What type of file is a. Pat.gz file?  Is this something to do with a game called Gangsta Pat?

  • Add a delay time before pushing in a table?

    I have a function, loadXML, that loads an xml file with a list of locations to OTHER xml files.  In this function, I load each individual xml file and perform a new function, parseXML, each of the variables that I wish to submit individual xml files in a table.

    It all works fine and dandy on my computer, but when I run it online it breaks down.

    What I believe happens is that the original xml file is loaded correctly, but because the referenced xml files are on the web and are different sizes, they stop in the load order and data not corresponding to the xml file that is referenced in the referenceListA table.  (ie. all data of every referenced file item1, item2 and item3 will stay together because they are called at the same time, but it will be mixed from the referenced xml file).

    This normally wouldn't be a big deal, but because I also want to create a link to the xml file that is referenced, not sometimes the link will lead to the right place (it will lead to another xml file in the list).

    Someone at - it ideas?  I thought the addition of a time delay somehow in the loadXML function to give time to load the file newxml, but still problematic...

    How can I make sure that the referenceListA [i] mathes until its own information?

    for example, I created:
    -2 members in period dimension: StartProject and EndProject and I need enter and follow the date for these fields;

    Try different settings for members of my - seems I can't date entry in the cell and rcvd errror: "you have entered an invalid value.

    Can PLS, you confirm whether it is possible to enter the date type in a form?

    I want to get the update or cancel button on my toolbar. I used the toolbar customization notes and followed the steps but I have no idea where the real new toolbar is to use. could you please help me?

    You find the "Refresh button" at the right end of the bar 'Address' of the ll. Go to view > toolbars > customize. If you don't see any 'Refresh' button there, drag one on top of the "Address" bar in the 'Customize' window, you can drag it back out to where you want to.
