Add a texture to a gradient background

I have a web comp with a gradient background.  It is just a rectangle with a gradient in the lower layer.  I would like to add a texture to my origins.  Just a bit of noise or a scroll or something.  I don't know how to do it.  I would like the texture to be the color of the background of course and be quite indistinct.

Could you just give me some advice please

Thank you

Martin

Try to select the background, add a new fill in the appearance Panel in a library of textures, and then select fill gradient in the appearance Panel and set the transparency to multiply.

    You should try to add 00 to your color int, like this:

    Bottom bgNaranja = BackgroundFactory.createLinearGradientBackground (0x00c14d02, 0x00c14d02, 0x00eb870e, 0x00eb870e);

    Hello

    What is the best way to continue /create/ gradient background background irregular /studio / for any photo?

    I made a few attempts with content aware scale, but still I'm not able to achieve the best result.

    I know it is better to have pictures in the first place just with full history, but unfortunately this is not always possible.

    I often use the Edit > command auto-merge layers to do this:

    1 unlock the background image in the window > layers panel.

    2. use the Rectangle (M) tool to select the area you want to remove the top of the photo.

    3. press BACKSPACE to delete (make transparent).

    4 choose a good gradient background article lasso near the deleted area.

    5 Cmd/Ctrl + J to copy to a new layer.

    6. use the move (V) tool and the position in the transparent box, overlapping slightly with the existing background.

    7 Cmd/Ctrl + Alt + A to select the 2 layers.

    8 edit > auto-merge layers command.

    9 Cmd/Ctrl + E to merge the result.

    10. repeat 4-9, with another section, up to the completion.

  • in a photo on gradient background Gaussian blur

    Hello. Using PS CS4 on XP.

    I'll be back just a job with the company of printer & I notice some lines that do not appear on my impression here (on the printer color xerox machine) to compare. I didn't really catch on the evidence either, but they used a proof of epson and we printed on 100 # a text for the final.

    What I have going is a background gradient (using the shape layer and gradient layer style effect), white to a light tan. Up and down on a regular letter size sheet. In the upper right corner, I have a picture of a face that had light Tan even in the background. I fell this image in the background gradient using Gaussian blur. It is not very sensitive in the file, but I can tell it's there... you really focus your eyes to see, but there is a line that goes around the image where the Gaussian Blur is. I will attach a picture of the edge. I guess what I'm saying is not smooth - the edges of the image being blurred in the gradient background, but printed on a regular printer, it seems smooth. Is that what I can do to avoid this problem in the future?

    Thanks for any advice. I am considering Gaussian blurs no more...

    Untitled-1.jpg

    The TIFF makes all the difference - the problem became clear: the mask is not pure black right at the edge of the image of the man.

    A slight curves on the mask operation covers the edge.  Note that I moved the black point slightly.

  • A form of mask so I can add a texture?

    Hi, I hope I have called it correctly for the problem I have.  I use Illustrator CS4

    Basically, I'm doing a mask for a Papertoy (portable mask in this case), but I want to add a texture to grungy on the color form I've already created.  As you can see from the photo, I pasted the texture I want, but like the grungy texture is rectangle, I get the entire image around the outside of my form.  Can I get it as well as the texture inside the main form will be visible.  The white triangle tabs are each a separate form & preference they would be clean also.  Thanks in advance.

    Make a copy of the great shape, put it on top of the grunge texture and then create a clipping mask.

    Greetings from the Germany

    PNG8 pourrait be best. Png32 requires special coding to make it work in IE6, and even in this case, it may sometimes fail. See the following article:

    http://blogs.Cozi.com/Tech/2008/03/transparent-PNGs-can-deadlock-IE6.html

    PNG8 works without special coding and gives you up to 256 semi-transparent colors. (If FW does not give you your full range, try adding more with the color picker.) See the following article:

    http://www.SitePoint.com/blogs/2007/09/18/PNG8-the-clear-winner/

    If you know that none of your visitors use IE6, PNG32 should be good, though.

  • Border Panel and gradient background

    Hello

    It's probably very easy so apologies if I missed something obvious.

    What I want to do is get a gradient background for the border of a Panel, then a different gradient for the background.

    I tried to create a SWC from Flash CS3 file. It seemed he would work but when I added content to the Panel he placed the content on the title area of the Panel in the content area.

    So I tried to create a graphical appearance using a box 26 x 26 pixels of padding in the appropriate color ramp, but it only would allow me to set the skin for the background and a border together and this isn't what I want.

    When I watched the video on Adobe TV to do skins graphic I also watched a programmatic skin topic that looked like, it might be useful, but it sounds very complicated and I was wondering if someone could help because I'm quite at this news.

    Also, if there is a simple passerby so please tell me I would be very grateful.

    Thank you

    Chris

    Hi again

    Just found another post on this forum for a slightly different question, but what it boils down to is that it a bug and Adobe will not remedy.

    The solution is to BorderTopPad the Panel to a value that takes the content in the header bar, and it works.

    Wish that they had set even if, as many people seem to have had the same problem and it does not lose much time (2 days in my case) try to solve a problem that doesn't really have a good solution.

    See the site:

    http://dougmccune.com/blog/2008/01/17/followup-about-Flex-Panel-bug/

    Hope that no one else lost too much time on this - if you did sorry and thank you.

    See you soon

  • Way to change how the gradient background

    Is it possible to have the gradient background that is not a same transition from top to bottom. I have need of degraded transition happen quite in the top quarter of the scene and the low three quarters of the same color. This can be done in Flash, so I don't think it's unreasonable to do in Flex. I hope it's just that I'm missing something (above).

    Thanks for all the good ideas on how to solve my problem. As I am a programmer and do not use Illustrator, I think I'll go with Amy's proposed solution.

  • Gradient background extends the height of the page

    Hi, I'm an extreme novice with dreamweaver - always figure it all out. I need to edit a website that has been set up by someone else and I can't understand why the gradient doesn't extend to the entire height of the page. Initially, it was fine, but when we added more text this problem popped up. I've fiddled with the css but nothing I do is working - I hope that's something basic like I'd like to achieve as soon as possible.

    H1 titles are concentrated also in their columns despite css saying 'align left', so this confuses me also - we can get them to be aligned to the left?

    Because another person leave for another career, setting up is shocking?

    Change your body css as below:

    {body

    margin: 0;

    padding: 0;

    do-family: Helvetica, arial, without serif.

    color: #E6A9CC;

    }

    You have no need to 125% on your #background of the css selector so either delete or comment it out using the / * / as shown BELOW to add an overflow: hidden; as also noted below, who will deal with the issue of gradient.

    #background

    {

    Width: 100%;

    / * height:125%;*/

    background:-webkit-linear-gradient(#FFFFFF, #F4DCEB). / * For Safari * /.

    background:-o-linear-gradient(#FFFFFF, #F4DCEB). / * For Opera 11.1 to 12.0 * /.

    background:-moz-linear-gradient(#FFFFFF, #F4DCEB). / * For Firefox 3.6 to 15 * /.

    background: linear-gradient(#FFFFFF, #F4DCEB). / * Standard syntax (must be last) * /.

    overflow: hidden;

    }

    Change text-align: center; who is currently stated in the h1 to text-align css selector: left; OR just delete it completely the default alignment is already positioned on the left.

    H1

    {

    margin: 0;

    padding: 0;

    color: #E6A9CC;

    text-align: left;

    font-size: 30pt.

    }

    What is important to remove height: 500px; Since the #content css selector or comment it out as shown below using the *. This is important because any information in the 'content' container does not scroll if the height is more profound than 500px, which it will be. The general rule is that you should never set on any container heights, in special circumstances where you know what will be the height or you want to display an area regulated as a scrolling frame.

    #content

    {

    Width: 100%;

    / * height: 500px; */

    }

  • How to add a texture wood?

    I have a background image that resembles the planks of old wood (like the side of an old barn in the West) and I want to put the text and image on another. However, it looks fake. Is it possible to simulate the texture of the background image on the text and graphics added to give the impression that they were painted on wood barn?

    As always, thanks for the help anny

    Hello

    You can use the different blend modes to achieve this effect. Choose the best blend mode depends on a few things (color graphics, how dark is your background, etc.). If in doubt, experiment with different blend modes until you get the results you're looking for.

    Here is an example that I hope will help you in the right direction:

    simply keep the old planks of wood as your background layer and play with different text and graphics layers blending modes. You can change most before messing around with opacity to make look it more subtle.

    Please report if you have any questions.

    Edit:

    you could also add a layer of FX with bevel and Emboss text/graphic:

    adjust the parameters to your liking, and it should give you a nice effect.

  • gradient background - anyone got it to work?

    I have a body style:

    body
    {
    background: url(/Images/bgGradient.jpg) horizontal #ffffff set;
    height: 100%;
    }

    Provides that a gradient in FireFox, IE but the BB background does not like this...

    Someone at - he found a solution for this?

    Fixed my question was actually the strip of gradient I was using seems to be too long for the BB to manage.  I reduced the length of the Strip, and all is well.

  • I'm trying to add a texture of distress to a picture in CS5.

    I said to subtract the distress of the image, you will be able to see through the image, through the distress. I can't understand how to do this. Help! I was shown many layers, of screenshots showing the original image, the distress in another layer, then the finished product in a third. The layer of physical distress is hidden. I tried to figure this out for hours.

    OK, here's a rough and some instructions as to how I did it.

    First, add a layer mask to the main image.

    Then pass the texture layer and select all. Copy

    Return the layer image and then go to the channels tab. You will see a bottom layer mask channel.

    Select this option, then stick your texture.

    Then, you can disable your texture layer tab layers.

    (I added some color behind, so you can see how it worked.
