Add audio to 8 Captivate

Hello world

Wanted to ask what are the general approaches of the people to the add audio to 8 Captivate?

I think it's quite long and counterproductive to add a voiceover full record for an entire project and divide by the slide markers. Captivate only really seems like you're doing this 'once', as when you save, all lengths of slides are changed to the length of the audio.

The best way I found is to edit and export clips in Adobe Audition, and then import them on a slide-by-slide basis. Even if this is a bit problematic if you have audio to extend across multiple slides in a software simulation.

Thanks in advance for your comments,

Ben

Hi Ben,

I prefer to save in hearing myself (control freak), but will also create separate audio clips, one for each slide. I'll import to library, then drag each of them to the slide in the case of slide audio. Good labelling helps a lot.

    Thank you. I actually ended up using Google Doc w / voice / dictation option. I did the following:

    2. set again my sound of "Virtual Audio Cable" settings so that the audio has been accepted by the computer MIc

  • The blades does not add audio

    Hello again,

    I worked on a market course and stop for a while in Captivate 7. Today when I added 7 new landslides I went to add audio to slides via Audio > management of speech and slides do not appear for me to add the audio. I saved the course and restarted Captivate but the blades are still missing in the management section of the speech (they appear in the film and can be modified if)

    Hello

    Can you try to clean the preferences by closing 7 Captivate first, then go to: -.

    C:\Program Files (for 64 bit) or Program Files (x 86) (for 32 bit) \Adobe\ Adobe Captivate 7 x64\utils\ and CleanPreferencesWin.bat file to run.

    Launch of Captivate 7 by a right click on it and select run as administrator and see if that makes a difference.

    Kind regards

  • How can I add audio to tabs using advanced Actions?

    I used the following tutorials to create a slide tabbed with navigatiion locked in Captivate 5.5 (I use Advanced Actions to activiate the continue button only once you click on all the tabs).

    http://blogs.Adobe.com/Captivate/2011...

    http://forums.Adobe.com/message/40464...

    I have audio intro associated with the slide, which plays on enter. Does anyone know how I can add audio to each tab by using advanced Actions? When I tried this, all audio files played at the same time, above the other.

    I appreciate all help.

    Recently, I blogged about the control of audio objects, maybe that article could help you:

    http://lilybiri.posterous.com/audio-objects-control-them

    Here is another example, where I used a lot of audio attached to all kinds of objects:

    http://lilybiri.posterous.com/playtime-with-audio-and-widgets

    The idea is that you attach audio to an object that can be invisible to the user (I explained I have a special highlight for this purpose style) and you show the object action advanced, which means that when the audio will start playing. You probably also will have to stop audio (to avoid the two clips play together) when the user clicks on another tab, in which case he has not done. So if you have 3 tabs, you have 3 audio objects and with advanced actions always show you an audio object and hide the other 2.

  • Several Audio objects in Captivate 5...

    Hello

    I want to create a series of Captivate 5 slides that contain many audio objects, these objects will play the sound associated with a point defined by mouse click, rollover or a similar event.  The blade should stay persistent until the user clicks a button that them will advance to the next slide in which a similar format will be presented.

    The creation of the progress button is a simple case, but the creation of audio objects that will play due to various user events doesn't seem so simple, and maybe it's because I'm still finding my hat of timelines of Captivate.

    I tried to create slidelets I add audio to and then tried to add the property on working capital to run the advanced measures.  I then created an expression in which I put a script to extract the current image and add value to it so that it would allow the slide to the natural pause point that has been created with the introduction of buttons.  However this led to undesirable effect of simply enable all the sound elements at the same time.  When I spread the slidelets in the time line after the break of the button, only the slidelet was available, as the other were too quirky in the timeline panel and were not visible at the time of the break.

    I was just wondering if I'm on the right track here, or if there is a simple way to do what I want to do, which is to allow students to text and rollover/click and hear audio text, or to have a button that will do it.  It might also allow students to see an issue that when you click on the answer will be spoken.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Kind regards.

    Captivate 5 - Version 5.0.0.596

    On a 32-bit Windows XP system

    Hi insearchofanswers,

    No worries!  Once I was very distressed about something and got a fix here.  The very simple solution - visibility for my items.

    I wasn't sure how to create audio on a button, because I have not used this technique before, but I did a little searching around and found this excellent How - to's:

    http://iconlogic.blogs.com/weblog/2007/05/adobe_captivate_1.html#TP

    It's for Captivate 2, but I tried on Captivate 4 and it still worked.  I'm sure that it will still work with Cap5, too.  Good luck!

  • How to record the screen and add audio with QuickTime?

    I can't wait to make my first video through QuickTime player, but I'm stuck on the following:

    (1) new screen recording - I'm able to capture the process of my video with this feature

    (2) audio new recovery - separately, I can record my audio

    But can't do the task above at the same time which means that I can save the process through and add my voice at once? Is this possible?

    Hello Vishal2014,

    I understand you are trying to create videos with recordings of screen as well as a voiceover. I can help you with that.

    Now, when you set up your registration form, you have the option to choose a microphone to talk and create video at the same time. This would reduce you adding the clip after the fact. Take a look at the first link below that will go on the way to do this.

    Save your screen
    https://help.Apple.com/QuickTimePlayerX/Mac/10.11/index.html?localePath=en.lproj #/ qtp97b08e666

    Now if you want to add audio to the video that you already created, consider using iMovie. You can import video, and during playback, you can save your audio files on top of the video. Take a look at the following article for more details on how to achieve this.

  • Is it possible to add audio keyframes to a source clip in the source monitor?

    Hello, is it possible to add audio keyframes to a source clip in the source monitor? (Not the chronology)

    I would like to dive and pre selectively switch off at the source-clip in the trash.

    Bonus round... are waveforms audio visual available somewhere in the source monitor Panel?

    Perhaps with a thread of keyframe-able?

    Thank you very much

    You can not key frames in the source monitor Panel (the Master Clip function applies not to the audio only).

    For the waveform to appear: fiddle the cursor or the playhead in the SM. (this is a bug).

  • Incorporation of an audio recorder in captivate

    Hello

    I want to integrate an audio recorded in captivate so my users can self-register and reading what they have registered as part of the e-learning courses.

    Anyone know if it is possible t reach and if so, what's the best way to go about doing and points in the captivate slides?

    Thank you

    Pete

    Hi Pete

    If it is possible to achieve, it would probably be "box you in a bit of a corner" by requiring that you publish only the course as Flash (SWF format) and she would need someone to create a widget that would allow.

    But thinking about it, you might be able to achieve using the widget Web object and configure it to point to a web site that could offer this capability. I did a quick Google and found these links that you might find useful.

  • Add audio to slide shows using 11 items and itunes.

    Updated to 11 items 9

    Running Windows 7

    I make a slide show and would like to add audio from my itunes library.  When I click to add audio and browse my itunes library, nothing shows after that I click on the album. In an older version, I would like to change the file to a WAV file and it would do very well.  The new itunes doesn't let me do it onlyl to an AAC file (don't know what it is) when I'm trying to say it is protected and cannot change it.  How can I add audio files to my slide show using itunes?

    Thank you

    Once, iTunes doesn't have a way to get their music in programs, as before, at least not directly.

    At the time, the workflow was to go to iTunes, create a Playlist for the necessary music from iTunes, then burn it to an Audio CD. Once this is done, we take this CD in a program like the free Audacity, RIP CDA, then Save_As WAV format, choose 16-bit 48 kHz PCM/WAV. These WAV files were imported in pre.

    At some point, they have loosened things up a bit, and many had no problem with a direct Import from iTunes.

    Now of course what they do now, but many, like using music from other sources, rather than iTunes.

    Neale has linked to a conversion request, but I've never used. OTOH, if Neale recommend it, then it should work perfectly.

    In addition, according to Adobe: http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/supported-file-formats-premiere-elements.html, AAFC is an Audio Format supported.

    As I rarely use any music from other sources, beyond SmartSound, I haven't stayed current on the operation of iTunes.

    Good luck

    Using Vista Movie Maker 6 or Windows Live Movie Maker?

    ? You say you want to hear the two audio sources simultaneously?
    Try to adjust the volume of audio files.

    Click with the right button on the audio clip... Choose... Volume.

  • Add audio to Dialog.alerts

    Good evening

    Can some give me some guidance how to add sound or make the phone vibrates when the dialog.alert is the trigger. Also any reference to create a user to configure alerts that aduble, (use the audio files on the BB)

    Hello

    You can then:

        public void playOnAlert()
        {
            Alert.startAudio(TUNE, Alert.getVolume());
            Alert.startBuzzer(TUNE, Alert.getVolume());
        }

        public void vibrateOnAlert()
        {
            Alert.startVibrate(3000);
        }

        public void flashLightOnAlert()
        {
            LED.setState(LED.STATE_BLINKING);
            LED.setConfiguration(100, 1000, LED.BRIGHTNESS_100);
        }

        public void stopSound()
        {
            Alert.stopAudio();
            Alert.stopBuzzer();
            Alert.stopVibrate();

            LED.setState(LED.STATE_OFF);
        }

    You can also use player MMAPI for playing a melody on the alert (do not forget to close correct).
