Incorporation of an audio recorder in captivate

Hello

I want to integrate an audio recorded in captivate so my users can self-register and reading what they have registered as part of the e-learning courses.

Anyone know if it is possible t reach and if so, what's the best way to go about doing and points in the captivate slides?

Thank you

Pete

Hi Pete

If it is possible to achieve, it would probably be "box you in a bit of a corner" by requiring that you publish only the course as Flash (SWF format) and she would need someone to create a widget that would allow.

But thinking about it, you might be able to achieve using the widget Web object and configure it to point to a web site that could offer this capability. I did a quick Google and found these links that you might find useful.

When I save a little short tutorial with Captivate 8 for a particular slide, where is he? I am not given a chance to name it, and I don't know where he's going. Typical fool in question, no doubt, but I'm stumped. ??

    Thank you very much!

Look in the library, Audio file. It has a generic name, but you can rename it.

  • Add audio to 8 Captivate

    Hello world

Wanted to ask what are the general approaches of the people to the add audio to 8 Captivate?

I think it's quite long and counterproductive to add a voiceover full record for an entire project and divide by the slide markers. Captivate only really seems like you're doing this 'once', as when you save, all lengths of slides are changed to the length of the audio.

The best way I found is to edit and export clips in Adobe Audition, and then import them on a slide-by-slide basis. Even if this is a bit problematic if you have audio to extend across multiple slides in a software simulation.

Thanks in advance for your comments,

    Ben

    Hi Ben,

I prefer to save in hearing myself (control freak), but will also create separate audio clips, one for each slide. I'll import to library, then drag each of them to the slide in the case of slide audio. Good labelling helps a lot.

I can't do all the rocrding at work that my office is too noisey.

    Help?

    Hello

I had similar problems after having cut a second monitor. Captivate seems to leave some dialog boxes on the second monitor which is no longer there. Before disconnecting (at College) of the second monitor I check if everything is once again on my main screen (laptop computer =) and then no problems. But now, I am confused, as if I forgot (which I did yesterday), I connect another second monitor, extend my desktop to this monitor and can't seem to drag everything back to the main screen. It seems to be a different configuration with your docking station.

  • Audio recording is no longer works in Cap5 - ideas?

I created a presentation and audio recording in several ways (Audio - recording - slide) (the Audio icon in the taskbar).

Yesterday, I opened the Captivate and these two options don't work anymore.  I do not mean that I can't save.  I mean I can't access the screen in the software that lets you record.

Registration generally works very well - I record in Audacity.  This isn't a problem of Windows (XP) or an entry problem or a hardware problem.

    Everything else works in Captivate.

Audio of the previously saved slide sets.  I just can't save.   After using the above option, Captivate freezes and I need to click ESC to unlock.

I know, it's weird.  If you don't believe me, look here.  Let me know if you see me something wrong while you're there.

    http://screencast.com/t/0fsLsR5Lh

So, I did what anyone facing a weird isolated software problem would do.  I reinstalled Captivate.  Today, same problem.

Help?  Any ideas?  I do the final changes on my project, there is a delay, etc., etc.

First thing to try is empty the cache using the key in the preferences.

If this does not resolve the issue, you can try closing Captivate and delete the Preferences file itself.

    On Xp, it is located at: C:\Documents andSettings\Application Data\Adobe\Captivate 5 Settings\

Captivate will re-create this folder next time it starts, but settings preference, you have done will be lost.

Additionally, make sure that you have installed all the updates and patches.

  • Recording in Captivate 3

I'm looking for more details on how Captivate 3 has "improved" audio recording.

Can you change an existing record by recording a new sentence and insert or replace a section of an existing audio file?

Can you change the calendar to a record that was previously spread over 3 slides, while it is now spread over 4 slides?

There's no real problem other than a beginner who has gone through the tutorials and never saw these specific things demonstrated. I don't see how they work now.

    Thank you, Steve

  • a fusion drive is good for audio recording?

I think buy a 27-inch iMac for audio recording on Logic Pro X, but is not sure a merger player performance, because some say that the part of the HARD of it on only 5400 RPM drive, if I hold with an iMac HARD 7200 RPM drive?

You will likely get different opinions, but personally I would not use the fusion drive and recommend an SSD.

    Quite significant speed difference.

    Hello

Try following the steps outlined here:

  • The logic using Soundflower audio recording system

Let's start with the agreement that I must be a fool.

I found tutorials on the net for logic audio recording using sound flower and it seems very simple.

I actually have to make what I want sometimes.

For the life of me I can't recreate my past successes.

I'm to the point of madness here.

I want to just record from Chrome, etc... any audio system, the logic.

    Help, please

    Drew

1 / set your output to the system on your Mac for soundflower.

(so now if you play a youtube video or a song on iTunes you won't hear anything - as it is realized in SF).

    2. in line with defined preferences of-> audio-> entry to soundflower

and something other than control panel the value out of logic (built in output is fine)

3 / create an audio track and assign to its entrance at Gate 1

4 / record select the track or you can monitor the track entrance. You should now hear any audio playing on your system (from youtube or iTunes etc) (in fact guarded of logic)

    Press R to save it.

  • I am facing problem with playback of the audio recorded.

Use built in mic, I recorded w/vocals/guitar,... and playback starts well, but after a few seconds the sound loses the basis... or low frequencies.

It is uniform everytime I try. What I am doing wrong?

    Hello

What version of the Windows operating system is installed on your computer?

If I understand correctly you are facing some problem with the audio recorded. There is no way to lose the sound after a few seconds; There seems to be a problem with the registration. I suggest you to run the game audio recording Fixit then try to register once more and check if it works.

  • Why do I have a loud hum when with audio recorded when I read a file saved with Microsoft LifeCam with the latest version of Microsoft Essentials?

Why do I have a loud hum as well as audio recorded when I play a file saved using Microsoft LifeCam with the latest version of Microsoft Essentials?

HUMS are usually ground fault loops.

If it is a test of laptop with and without the power connected (using battery instead)

The mic can also have a cut wire, etc.

  • Access to / computers sound card audio recording

I can't find any support for access to and the audio recording of his computrers card.  I want to save her with an AVI file, for example, while documentary about a process.  I have a complete program for the video portion and wish I could increase my program with audio.

First of all, is it possible with Labview standard (8.5) and Imaq Toolbox, and if yes, can anyone point to where it can be written to help understand how?

Look in the 'Graphics & Sound' Sound palette' - you should find screws for obtaining sound sound card and also the screw to write to a .wav file.

Then you'll want over them something like this (just for illustration, not tested - I was not even wire a stop button):

    Good luck

    Hello!

I tried to record some live audio. I downloaded

    Wondershare Streaming Audio Recorder

I opened the program - but could not hear the audio that I tried to play. I don't know if downloading this program is related to the problem.
I opened Skype - and everything worked fine. I could hear, etc. But if I run an MP3 in Windows Media Player - I hear nothing!
My sound is at the top.
In my Volume mixer, I see:
1 output device digital (SPDIF) bounce up and down. (but I don't)
2 but applications: sounds of Windows, Windows Media Player and Google Chrome will not move. (but they are at the top).
    Any suggestions?
    Jews

I managed to get the results of work. I don't know where come the SPDIF.

I downloaded a new driver Realtek for audio from the computer. This corrects the problem.
But I still want to know what happened.
