Add more space to a Bay RAID5 on a Server 2003 C: drive

A file server that is running Server 2003 has a range of RAID5 running out of space. I can't extend the space with additional logical drives because there is only a single partition on the C: drive, and it contains the Windows operating system. I've already developed the table using Array Configuration Utility from HP, but it does not recognize the operating system.

Hello Terry,

You can view this issue in Windows Server 2003 Support: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/windowsserver/ff354964

Thank you.

Please be aware that the second part of your hard drive backup is
far the lowest form of backup exists. It is only very
slightly better than no backup at all, because it let you
sensitive to the simultaneous loss of the original and the backup on many of

In my view, secure backup must be on a unguarded and removable media
in the computer. For backup really secure (required, for example, if the)

generations of backup and at least one of these generations must be

  • Add more space to the ASM disk group

    Hi all

I am new to the DBA role and also in a process of learning. I need your help in putting a space at the ASM disk group. My VMware admin will add disk space to the virtual machine, and then the Linux admin will add space on Linux servers. Finally, I think I need to rebalance the database disk group to view the extra space. I'm not sure of what all the steps involved in this process. I like to read the Oracle Documentation, but I'm blurry and hesitant. Please let me know the steps to follow to add the ASM disk group space.

    We use

    Oracle DB version 11.2.0.3.0

    Linux version: 2.6.18 - 238.12.1.el5

    Thanks for your help

    No....

You don't need any instance restart. More when you add a disk to a diskgroup, all rac nodes can see.

    just...

You should add a node and watch v$ asm_operation...

    Hello

Upgrade the hardware of your virtual machine to version 7 of material and then you can have up to 10 vNIC. To make this stop, the VM down and then right-click and select upgrade virtual hardware.

  • Unable to add printer drivers 64-bit to a 32-bit Server 2003 Server universal

I have a Laserjet 2015n that is shared on the network by a Secure Server 2003 R2 32 bit.  I'm trying to add 64-bit drivers for my Win7 laptop can access.  The HP site has only universal printer drivers, I downloaded but when I try to add them I get "the specified location does not a driver...". "because the 2015 isn't in the INFs.

How can I get around this?  I've seen solutions that suggest the Win7 laptop to connect to the printer via the USB port and install the driver in this way.  It is a major business issue so that the solution is not acceptable. I also had someone suggest using the hpfx64bulk.sys file but I can't find an inf file that works with either.

    Thanks for any help.

    Hello again Shlomi,

I tried the fix you suggested and got the error "unable to install the printer.  The print processor does not exist.  It's the same if I try to install the drivers for the shared printer or existing TCP/IP port.

What I did in the end, is to change the driver that I used on the 2003 server to use the universal printer driver and then the 64-bit option was available.  Simple in the end, I guess!

    Kind regards

  • Add more space to virtual win 7 to macbook

I have VMware 8.1.1 on my macbook pro which is running OSX EL capitan 10.11.5. I recently purchase a 256 GB Transcend Jetdrive. Now, I installed in my Macbook pro and created 2 volumes. I try to devote one volume to install virtual machines on and these machines use this space for registration of documents and applications. I couldn't find a way to do it, if anyone knows or can help me id much appreciate it

By default, your Virtual Machine files are created and saved in the virtual computers folder in your Documents folder. You can simply move the folder and VM files it contains to according to the partition on the new disk, you prefer and execute them for the first time in Fusion using File > Open. If you are prompted if the VM was copied or moved, choose 'moved '. However, unless there is a reason why you want to isolate files of the virtual machine of everything what goes in the other partition, you might be better off going back to the single partition in the Jetdrive, and leave the VM folder contain files of the virtual machine.

If you want to increase the size of the volume that Windows 7 thinks it works, follow these instructions after developing the VM file in settings > hard drive in Fusion. Do you need extra space to support the expansion process and the virtual machine must be turned off and have some snapshots.

  • Need space for the test environment for windows server 2003 and sharepoint 2010 online

    Hello

We are currently running in the locked-down environment and looking for an online service that would allow us to put in place about 4 servers Hyper-V or VM (2003) and implementation of SharePoint 2010 and SQL Server 2008 on them... Where EV may seek to purchase/rent the space for it?

Thank you very much for your time and your answers!

    Hi Volodymyr G.

I suggest you to search rental / purchase of space on the server.

  • How can I add white space around an existing photo

I want to add white space around an existing photo.  I 'file' 'new' to create a space bigger than my existing photo.  Then I tried to move the existing photo in the "new" file  The message I get is "the target document has a different depth in the source document.  This can result in lower than expected quality.  Are you sure you want to continue? "When I clicked on Yes, it cropped on the right and left of the existing photo."  So I recreated everything to make sure that the resolution is the same as the existing photo document.  I also made the "new" document size was larger than the existing photo.

My goal is to have the existing photo to be bottom-heavy with white so I can put a title below.

There may be a better way than what I do to get the results I'm looking for.  Any help will be appreciated.

One way would be Image > canvas and add white or another color, there by increasing the size of the canvas. If you do it in two steps, once with the same space around, and then with the anchor positioned above you can add more space to the depth of your legend.

  • How can I get more space storage [SATA], the cheapest way?

    Hello everyone,

I have an Asus M2N68-AM Plus Motherboard in a HTPC with all busy SATA connectors. What can you guys come up with as the best way to add more space for extra storage [via SATA]?

    1. change of Mobo?

    2. switch to HD?

    3. a controller card?

    4. others?

Note: The main idea is to maintain the existing HD, because I don't want to keep or lose money by selling unused.

    Hi Ericacole

What version of the bridge are you using and what is your OS?

Please how much is left in your main hard drive.

By default, the bridge cache is located at: -.

    C:\Users\Yourname\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Bridge CC\Cache (AppData is a hidden folder)

Note that cache bridge could be very large depending on your use of the product.

  • Add more disk space for the ESX host

    Hi all

I need to throw more disk space to my ESX hosts.  I know how to bind records in Navisphere and present to the ESX host.  Once in the VI client, I "think" I need to go to the host and do a rescan of the HBA or something like that?  I'm a little unsure of the market of part VI to add more disk space.  Could someone just point me in the right direction?  Please note that I am looking to add more disks to existing hosts in existing clusters.  It adds no storage to a new host... rather an existing one.

    Thank you

    Jonathan

You are on the right track.  Re-scan storage card, under the configuration tab select storage adapters, select the adapter and click on the link of the new analysis.  Then go to the storage section and there should be a link in the top right of the screen that says storage Add.  Click on that and it will guide you in adding/setting in form/naming of the new disk.

  • I have to shutdown PowerEdge T320 to add more disks?

    Hello

We have a Dell PowerEdge T320 with following Perc

    ID 0
    Name Adapter PERC H310
    State Loan
    Firmware version 20.12.0 - 0004
    Driver version 6.801.05.00

Currently, the server has two drives of 1 TB on a RAID 1 virtual disk. I want to add more than 4 drives (2 TB) and create a RAID 5 with 3 disks and leave one as a spare drive. So my questions are:

    1. do I need to disable the server in order to add new readers? -the server has access area Bay front for Perc connections, which are the SATA drives.

    2. what would be the appropriate steps to set up the RAID. Can I make using Dell Open manage?

    3. do you know if the 2 TB drive, I want to use as a hot spare works also for the 1 TB RAID 1 drives?

    Thanks in advance.

    1. you should NOT turn off to add or replace the hot-swappable drives. Leave it on.

    2. Yes, use OpenManage... Select Reconfigure in the drop-down list of tasks available for RAID 1.

    3. Yes, the reader may be bigger, but not smaller. All larger than the other Member disks space will be wasted space. Then, you'll go from a 1 to a 4 TB RAID 5 RAID 1. Half of all your drives of 2 TB will be wasted.

Another thing, you need to know is that if Windows is ALREADY installed with UEFI enabled (as opposed to the BIOS), then you can not use more than 2 TB. Windows cannot use a greater than 2 TB drive unless it's TPG, and Windows cannot start a GPT disk except if installed on UEFI system activated. Conversion to GPT is destructive, so it cannot be changed without reinstalling.

My advice would be to set up your 4x2TB in a 4 TB RAID 6 disks - RAID 6 is a better use of a 'rescue' as a backup pending. RAID 10 would also be acceptable.

  • Add more:

I would like to send an email to 10 people, but only allows me to Thunderbird 3. How to add more people?

How it limits you three? Add a recipient, click back and it opens a new addresses for the next. Look for the scroll bar that allows you to scroll through the addresses.

If you use the Visual Contacts bar, just keep using the "add to...". "and it will do this for you.

If you take the line of horizontal separation just above the text area of message with the mouse, you can drag down, increasing the amount of space to display addresses and therefore see more than three lines by default.
