  Apple will probably not bring the 'slide to unlock' feature back since it has been deleted just today. You don't need to have an iPad with Touch ID to unlock but. Pressing the Home button will do exactly the same thing that slide to unlock did, just without swiping.

• best way to add and change the menu all programs without turning off UAC?

  I just download HJsplit, as someone has sent me a video file into segments to overcome the limitations of attachment size. HJsplit doesn't require installation, but UAC is actually prevents me from adding it to the start menu.

  What would be the 'proper' normal procedure to add it to the menu all programs on the start menu, preferably in an existing folder, called "utility" without having to go through two reboots to turn UAC on or off?

  My problem is that I can't add a new slide to my project. Import from other projects, inserting a slide blank, copy doesn't work and causes the crash of the application. CP farm by some, try to run one of these actions.

  Can I make changes to othe project: new audio recording, editing of slides and remove them, but even after the removal of half of the project does not allow to add slides.

  I use Windows XP, Flash edition 4.0.0 CP.

  Any ideas?

  I tried to use some slides from this project and copy or to import them to the new, but even small blades numbers the application crashes and closes.

  Hello

  First, you might want to isolate the problem is bound to Captivate or just a single project. You do this by creating a totally new and fresh, space project. Then try to copy/paste or import a few slides.

  If it works, it means that Captivate is fine and the problem in this particular project.

  If it fails, perhaps a reinstall is needed, but you can try to reset the DAT file before you reinstall.

  To reset the DAT file, close Captivate and open Windows Explorer.

  Navigate to where resides the DAT file. On my PC under Windows XP Pro, it is located here:

  D:\Documents and Rick Data\Adobe\Adobe Captivate

  Your location will likely vary. For example, your drive letter is probably C. Your connected name will be different. And if you use Vista or Windows 7, the location is probably quite different. The location can be hidden on your part in Windows, then you need to adjust the display options for Windows Explorer to show you these files. (Tools > Folder Options > view > show hidden files and clear the skin protected operating system files.)

  Just rename or delete the dat file, you will find. Then restart Captivate.

  If the problem seems to be that with a single project, you must create a new empty project in the same dimensions. Then copy the slides in the broken project and paste it in the new.

• XP is slow after all service packs and updates. Is there a summary of Windows XP that includes all upgrades and runs FASTER?

Service this pack 3.  It is slower than molasses in January in Chicago.  Microsoft has an XP consolidated and updated that includes all the security updates and new features in 1 integrated fast program?

  Spin Norton - bought after that it came with the machine.

  Ah! Norton applications are notorious for not not upgrade (or uninstalling) itself. This gives a whirlwind:

  1. download the Norton Removal Tool, save it to your desktop: ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe

  2. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).

  3. After completing some you have a copy of your handy product key, uninstall all Norton software (including LiveUpdate and everything Norton Add ons) via Add/Remove Programs.

  4 IMPORTANT! -Online activate Windows Firewall immediately after the restart.

  NB: Now you're "working without a net": no to ANYTHING else online (e.g., navigation, reading e-mail, chat) until you have completed step #7 below!

  5. double-click on the file that you saved in #1 above to run the utility. DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then restart.

  6. do a clean install of your Norton application, using your product ID & reboot: http://www.symantec.com/norton/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20080514162318EN

  TIP: Do not activate or install additional modules of Norton (for example, Norton Anti-Phishing) immediately.

  Anyone know if it is possible to set a global rule that includes all fields without having to manually add all alone in the rule? In this way, if a new metadata field is created, it is automatically applied to this general rule.
  
  The reason I ask because I want to hide all fields default and based on the user role grant/make available specific areas which should be visible to the user. I know that I can create a profile that serves this purpose by checking the option "Exclude fields no-rules", but then that leaves the search Option open with each field metadata Standard. This would actually be a good option if there was a simple way to hide the standard search option.

  Something like that in fact secondary rule overall tab should work.

  This will strip everything you have added custom and just let the standard title, the sg, the account, release date, expiration date, etc.

• How to close the instance of Firefox launched via file/new window without killing all instances of Firefox?

  Before the last update Firefox, running on Ubuntu if it makes a difference, I was able to select close on the file menu (and if memory is also by clicking the x on the last tab) to exit an instance of Firefox open via file new window.

  With the 9.x update this no longer seems to be possible. If I choose the file altogether starting an instance that was launched via the new window, all instances of Firefox away!

  It's embarrassing because I have to leave all the instances that have been launched.

  I tried closing last tab add on, and it allows me to close the last tab content but still leaves the instance running with a blank tab.

  Is there a setting somewhere that I missed to restore the operating mode to exit the additional instances of Firefox without killing all the previous configuration?

  Each window must have its own close button (big X in the right corner.)
  But it depends on the 'Theme' that you use in Ubuntu. This large X chould be a round point when you hover over the color changes. It could be on the left instead of the right site.
  This screenshot shows the close the left side, but always an X button.

  CTRL + SHIFT + W closed the window Active.
  CTRL + W closes the current tab.

  You do not have.  You add another e-mail address as a second email account, while you keep the other at the same time.  But as stated to Veritas, it would be useful that you got a little more specific if you want a more detailed answer.

  I understand the hardware drivers and additional programs will need to be reinstalled and I have all my disks associated with the addition of software/hardware.

  animate is the full version but without subscription you probably won't be able to use libraries of cc.

  I have a script that inserts a new page (a cover page) at the beginning of a document (a chapter from a book) and made a few other changes. It works perfectly _except_ for the following defects:

  (1) shuffle pages (the first page of the document to be a front page; the rest facing pages and I want the cover to a recto page sheet).

  (2) Renumber pages (I want to the cover sheet to be a number Roman invisible page number 'i' and the first page of the document to be page 1.1.)

  (3) if I just renumber pages manually, I also have to retype all section names that have been inserted previously in the section marker field (I have about 160 documents at work, so...)

  Is it possible to have the script to avoid these problems? Please note that I inherited this script and know virtually nothing about the scripts. Any help that you can give - including all thoughts of if to come with such a scenario could even be possible - will be greatly appreciated! Here's the script (and thanks in advance!):

• Script to add the layer mask to all layers but the background?

  I have been a professional editor/Retoucher for photographers for the past three years. I use a lot of stock, but I've never branched in scripts so far. I am trying to refine my workflow and scripts to not appear to be the next logical step.

  I do a lot of work in the interiors, which is essentially manual HDR. Here's my current generation process, which I would love to find a way to script. I tried to be very clear, but let me know if it needs to expand. I use Photoshop CS5.

  1. pull brackets, color corrected TIFF in Bridge.

  2 re-order as needed, with the main exhibition downstairs. Click on 'Tools' > 'Photoshop' > 'Charge in the form of layers Photoshop"to get a PSD with layers in the correct order and main as exposure layer from bottom (base).

  3. manually go through each layer and add a layer mask hide all each layer except the background layer.

  4. Save as a PSD, using the original name of the background layer as the file name. To do this, I just copy the name of the layer (example.tiff), paste in the Save dialog box and then use the drop-down menu to select PSD (save as example.psd).

  I hope to automate steps 3 and 4 as they are the majority of your time for me. Any contribution is appreciated!

  Yes, your change is good.  This way the last layer will not have a mask applied.  I wasn't sure if you wanted that, but in the control for the background layer.

  Regarding the economy, what file format would you save on?  Here's how to save a psd:

  When you get the new iPod, you can use iTunes on your computer to select and synchronize the music you want on it, in the same way that you synchronize your current iPod - your iTunes will recognize them as different devices and will remember your choice of synchronization for each, it will not (unless, for example, you restore the backup of your current on her iPod) put the same content on both.

  When you have multiple sites open at the same time, we call these "tabs".

  You should see all your tabs lined up near the top of the Firefox window, between the forward/backward buttons and the web page itself. To close a single tab, just need you to click on the 'X' icon on the tab itself, instead of the Red 'X' icon in the title bar of FIrefox.

  Firefox does not work more 'sessions', you see several windows running in the same process. IE runs each window in its ' own process and Chrome runs each tab in its' own process, but Firefox running in a single process.

  Do not use file > outputis to completely close Firefox, do not close the window you are looking at when you use this command. There was formerly a command to close this window on the file menu, but who took a few versions ago. You will need to use the X in the upper right of the window to close this window and leave the other open windows. Or you can use {Ctrl + Maj + W} close the window that is to the point (where you look).
