Add sound card to my HP Envy dsektop

I have a desktop HP Envy H8 - 1420 ED and I want to add a map M - sound audi. I used this card in previous computers because it is specially designed for home recording. I open the PC to install the card in a free slot but noticed that the plug! The connection on the map is much wider than the connection on the PC. Does this mean that I can't use this card?

Adds the only one on the motherboard of your PC cards will accept are PCI Express x 1 card specification.

If your audi sound-M-card is a PCI card then it is not compatible with available slots ion the motherboard.

  • HP Envy Phoenix: Disabling Beats Audio Sound card in desktop HP Envy Phoenix

Here's my problem, my HP Envy Phoenix office above came with Beats Audio standard install, I installed a new card his SoundBlaster Audigy 5/Rx installed fine, but one of my audio editing programs says

The output of the sound card could not be defined at this sampling frequency: 44100 Hz

Either the device does not support this sampling frequency, or it is in slave mode and its sampling frequency cannot be changed by elements of WaveLab. So how do I know if my new sound card is running in slave mode and how do I change this? or maybe disable the card Audio Beats?

    Thanks in advance,

    SP60, welcome to the forum.

Beats Audio should automatically be turned off when the sound card is installed.  However, you can go to the control panel Audio Beats and uncheck the "Set as default device".  You can do this with the recording device, too.

Please click on the Thumbs up button '+' if I helped you and click on "Accept as Solution" If your problem is resolved.

  • Add sound card

    Hello

This is my first post on this form.  I recently bought and set up my HP Pavilion HPE h8-1050z CTO Desktop computer that is running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.  Here is my problem or question.  The sound system is managed by Realtek, which as I understand it, is on the motherboard.  The problem is, adaptability and limited performance.  My speaker system is the Klipsch 5.1 and I want to get the best out there.  Can I add a sound card and if so do you have any recommendations?  If I can add to the card, do I need to do anything with the Realtek?  I'm a bit if a novice, but will make changes if I get good guidelines, your help is appreciated :-)

    Kind regards

Can you advise how I can disable/install the audio embedded?  And as what is important, can recommend you a decent sound card for my m9360f?  Much thanks for advance & Best.

Your response is much appreciated.  I am currently using Win7 64 bit with Klipsch powered 5.1 speakers.

I bought the speakers 6-7 years ago and used a Dell XPS with a card his SB Audigy2 ZS.  Music

has been exceptionally clear and emersive.  Unfortunately I was not able to reproduce the fidelity with my current setup on board with Realtek.

I'll give the SB one titanium go... thanx & best.

Recently, the sound card for computer laptop has had problems. For a month or two I get appears randomly in my audio using several 1/8 "cables to my speakers and headphones.  Now my problem is that the card is not to give me audio quality and it seems that I need a replacement. Its really quiet compared to normal and audio pieces of low frequencies and sounds just awful.  My laptop is an essential part of my work, so I would like to know what options I have to replace. First of all, I want to make sure that the card is replaceable quality even if not better. Secondly, is it possible for me to get the part sent home to replace me myself or maybe take in my laptop to the building to take only a short amount of time with her. I'm running on an audio interface I already owned for a long time, but it is inconvient for me to use when im to mobile OS. I understand that you have been troubled by Audio drivers

    • I recommend you update the BIOS by using the tool HP Support assistant or the HP website.
    • Once you update the bios > uninstall the current sound driver by using Device Manager > then use this LINK (ditto) to download the updated audio driver and that should fix this problem.
    • For a diagnosis more > click here
    • I also suggest a test of material on the sound card to be on a safer side: click here

  • HP Envy 15 j140na: suspected of sound card - no way to diagnose failure?

I suspect a sound card that has failed on my HP Envy 15, I'm getting no audio through speakers or headphones. 10 Windows and Ubuntu, I have no sound card/no audio device detected. Is it possible to run hardware diagnostics on my laptop to confirm that it is a hardware problem, or is it a software problem?

It is soldered to the motherboard, so if the connection is doubtful it will mean a new motherboard for sound. You can use a usb sound card dongle and headset is the only solution.

    Hello!

I have a HP Envy 15-j078ca running windows 8.1 touchsmart and, recently, I noticed that my audio is static/crackling noises. A test, I plugged my head phones to see if it was a speaker problem or a problem of sound card and audio in my headphones was also static noises.

What I did: I followed the advice on another thread that had me uninstall the drivers and hand it to reset my bios settings can have my drivers to reinstall but I found that my audio worked perfectly! ... for about 2 hours then my cell phone was dead silent so I got this back a few days and the audio was fine again... for a few hours before he began to do staic noises again.

  • Can I add a sound card on my HP Pavilion 9180f?

I would like to add a sound card for my HP Pavilion 9180f desktop PC, but he said I need to know if I have a PCI slot or something else.

Can someone please? I use Windows Vista 64 bit & Bose Companion 5 speakers are registered.

If your PC is a motherboard e9180f has:

Two graphics PCI Express 2.0 x 16 (for graphics cards)

A PCI Express x 4 card (for cards such as network, sound, tv tuner)

) A card PCI Express x 1 (for cards such as network, sound, tv tuner)

If your PC is a m9180f your motherboard has:

    1 PCI x 16 graphics card slot

    2 PCI x 1 slots

    1 PCI slot

The slots PCI Express x 4 and x 1 are your best option for the sound card.

  • Add a PCI sound card to the 8700SE XPS?

I joined this forum to ask this question. I've been recording and intend to buy a Dell XPS 8700 Special Edition (32GB, w/4th gen i7) for a while. It would be used for general things, and although I am not a gamer and don't need incredible graphics (just good enough for Netflix streaming), I am a music producer and that you use a professional quality with this computer PCI sound card. I'm confused by comments, I read on this machine, saying that there can be no extension for a sound card. It's the truth? Could not add my M - Audio 2496 card PCI or other PCI card professional superior quality to that if I had to do?

    lrs999,

Job mode page 14 says that the 24 slot is "PCI-Express x 1 Card Slot. That means cable for x 1:
    FTP://FTP.Dell.com/manuals/all-products/esuprt_desktop/esuprt_xps_desktop/XPS-8700_Owner's%20Manual_en-us.pdf

PDF specifications, page expansion Bus called PCI-Express x 4 because it of the fourth Groove down the PCI-Express x 16 slot and has 64 pins:

    FTP://FTP.Dell.com/manuals/all-products/esuprt_desktop/esuprt_xps_desktop/XPS-8700_Reference%20Guide2_en-us.PDF

Any other reference to this slot in x 4 means that it is the fourth Groove down.

    1 x 16 PCI-Express card slot (PCI -EX16_1) first and only 16 x
    2 x 1 PCI-Express card slot (PCI -EX1_1) first x 1
    3 x 1 PCI-Express card slot (PCI -EX1_2) second x 1
    4 x 1 PCI-Express slot x 1 third and fourth slot (PCI -EX1_4) for card

We do not sell the PCIe x 1 Sound Blaster Recon3D on this model. So, in theory, you could add any sound, part 3 PCIe x 1 card.

As far as I know it is not easy to find these parts in the regular stores computer/computer laptop.
What you can try is to contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help.

As far as I know, they can order all defective parts.

  • New sound card?

I have a desktop HP m8120n and has recently replaced my video card with a Nvidea GT430 Galaxy, which wiped out the sound card drivers (integrated realtek ALC888S).  Sound card drivers won't down load that I have updated Vista to Windows 7 and it seems there is no driver for Windows 7.  The current sound is built... so if I just make the tour of the old integrated sound card and add new in the empty slot, it'll work, and one that is recommended?

    Hello:

You get into your BIOS and set your audio device shipped to "Enabled"?  Currently, it is probably set to Auto.

When you install a video card with HDMI output, because the video card has its edge, it automatically disables the onboard sound.

Thus, setting its enabled in the BIOS card allows your equipped with a sound card and video HDMI audio to work independently.

If you had already and just need drivers for your RealTek audio W7, visit the site below. Accept the agreement, download and install one on the list:

    http://www.Realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?langid=1 & PNid = 24 & PFid = 24 & Level = 4 & Conn = 3 & DownTypeID = 3 & getdown = false

Add a card additional sound very probably won't the problem goes away.

  • I deleted the tool sound card - how do I get it back?

I used Add/Remove programs to free up space, and I think I deleted a program that performs his mistake.
Now my laptop continues to send error message when I try to listen to music etc.

How can I get the sound to work on the laptop?
    Anyone could help?
I'm only semi in computer science.

    Hello

Because Windows XP and Vista are supported by the Microsoft System Restore useful tool, you can use this program to set the operating system to the point of time at the beginning before you deleted the sound card tool.

I think it's the easiest and the best way to get it back ;)

    Try this!

  • high-end sound cards compatible with pavilion p7 1155 running windows 7 64 bit

Hello all; First time on this forum. Be gentle. I need to know what high-end sound card, I can improve this system, so I can run thx and high quality for surround sound, etc.

    You are the very welcome.

I guess it depends on what you want to do.

If your PC does not have an HDMI video port, you can add a video card with HMMI.

If you want more than that, so I guess you want to install another audio card.
