Add Sticky Notes on desktop

original title: sticky notes on the desktop

I have Windows Vista on my PC at home. At work, we have Windows 7. I love sticky notes & I was wondering if there is a sure way to put the Post-it notes on my PC at home without getting Windows 7.

All editions of Vista with the exception of the Baisc House equipped with built-in reminder. Please see:

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Open-Sticky-Notes .

However it is not quite identical to that of Windows 7, you must use the hand writing instead of typing (its share of the Tablet PC features).

    Original title: Stickt Notes

I read the community forum about it, but I don't see my problem. I have 3 sticky notes in use, but can not add extra. What should I do?

Thanks for all your help, but the answer is - at the top of a sticky note, (not all, but will be on 1 of them), you will see a +on the left corner and an x in the right corner. The sign of + on the right, click on an another reminder appears. Click the x to close all sticky notes.  I had seen the signs, never clicked. This works.

  • How to get the sticky notes gadget that has disappeared from my desktop (Windows 7)

There was information about sticky notes that disappeared. How can I get it back?

Hey! Click Start, and then click Notepad. I don't know if you can find the info you had on this subject. I just tested it, and I typed in her salvation... then clicked on the desktop, then click the X button in the note and I opened it again to the top and he wasn't there... You can pin the sticky notes to the taskbar, typing sticky notes in the start menu by dragging and dropping on the taskbar. Hope this helps

  • Y at - it sort of have sticky notes on several places that simply on the desktop?

Forgive me if this isn't a Microsoft product, but it seems that it is.

Apparently the only place you can have a post-it note is on the desk. How silly is that?

Limiting in this way, it's like having post-it paper notes and only be able to have them on the refrigerator! I wish I had a folder just for sticky notes.  I want to place them in a word document that is not so useless as margin notes. I would like to place a sticky note, exactly as its name suggests, anywhere.

original title: Sticky Notes.Ink can be extended?

It doesn't seem to be a Windows 7 feature (see http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/using-sticky-notes). For this reason, I move your post to the Windows forum, where anyone can learn more about the feature.

My friend told me about Post-it Notes for Windows 7. I have to go and try to find them. I fit to the dn of the search pane, but they are not on my computer. How can I download it or how I get it back.

Check the following information about sticky notes in Windows 7.

You can reset the shortcut on the desktop for StickyNotes

    1. go to Windows Explorer and open the C:\Windows\System32 folder

    2. find the StickNot.exe file.

    3. right click on the file and drag it to the desktop.

    4. Select create a shortcut option.

    5. drag the Sticky Notes icon on the desktop by right click and drag to the Start Menu.

    6. choose "PIN to Start Menu" program should now work correctly.

    I hope this helps.

  • Sticky notes move when I have a second screen plugged

I have usually more than 5 sticky notes running on my laptop at all times (close to 10 for a few months), and I put them where I want that they so that they overlap or to hide anything else on my desk. But when I plug in my tv as a second monitor via VGA, my reminder. This seems to occur only when my computer recognizes the monitor and recalculates the position of items on the desktop, in which the screen flashes once or twice. After stopping and restarting several times over a few days, my notes all seem to get crushed on the right side, where they hide a few gadgets and they overlap with eachother.

I have the resolution of other series of monitor at 1360 x 768 (the highest possible), while my laptop has a resolution of 1366 x 768. This difference in resolution would cause sticky move? Could this something specific to my hardware (laptop, TV, or cable)?

With so similar resolutions, I am surprised that they are moving.  You are right, however, it is the adjustment between the resolutions it does.  If the resolution is shrinking, windows are moved to adapt.  But of course it does not move when the resolution is enlarged.  So even though it is a fraction of a second, that could be causing it.

  • Sticky notes corrupt

    Hello

I often use Sticky Notes (each day) to write mandatory information. Today when I opened the Sticky Notes an error window was introduced and said that some of my (information) files were corrupt. I pressed the "OK" button and a few windows sticky (I had well over 10. I fill a reminder as much as I can with over time, and when I can type is more that I add a new sticky note to the ever growing pile of information.) had disappeared. These sticky notes were valuable and essential information that I need to return desperately. Please, is it * all * possible way I can recover and restore the information that I have "corrupted"? I studied the cyberspace to find a solution without success. The only thing good semi I found in my search was this code: %AppData%\Microsoft\Sticky
Notes\StickyNotes.snt. Someone said to type this code in the bar "search programs and files" and that I should be able to recover my reminder information in Notepad. (Well, I tried, but 1) has all my information - only some and 2) it's all disorganized and little unreadable (there are funky symbols and others in the upper part of the content) and there isn't "/ by" at the end of each sentence with "{\field{\*\fldinst{HYPERLINK" initially and "'"}} {\fldrslt{\ul\cf1 "at the end of each hyperlink.  (maybe it's html? I thought was, but I don't think that it is. It's too funky - looking to be html?) Is there a program that can make them readable? Someone help me please! I don't know what to do and I am panicking! Exorbitant, I need all of this feedback - it's precious! I would be very grateful to anyone who takes the time out of their day to help me.

    Hello

If you have damaged data it is perhaps not a way to get back them. These data can be corrupted by malicious software, damaged equipment or maybe a virus. They can try to use previous versions of the file %AppData%\Microsoft\Sticky Notes and see if he can recover the data.

  • How can I change the default font of Sticky Notes?

I want to change the default font of Sticky Notes in Windows 7. As said in the previous thread, I can copy from other software to get it. Point is that when I restart the application or the operating system that it returns in Segoe Print again. Sometimes it is not displayed as Segoe Print at all (especially mixed with other languages). I searched the Internet, told to remove the police to get the modish, he will risk the stability of the BONE or something? What can I do to set up another police? I've heard it can be changed in Windows Vista, is it true? Is there a patch to add or difficulty that is then? Or which will be added in Windows 8?

You can solve this problem by editing the registry a little more. It's pretty easy.
    1. go to the registry: start-> run-> regedit
    2. go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts
3 right-click the font that you want to change, and then type the name (the name of the file) of the font you want with the following. (For sticky notes, edit Segoe Print and Segoe Print "BOLD". For example, arialn.ttf and arialnb.ttf for Arial Narrow)
Reboot your computer, and you should be good to go.

  • Way to save Sticky Notes at the office closed AFTER SN?

I just started to use app reminder of Win7. I noticed that, after closing the program in my taskbar, the note itself disappeared until I restarted the program SchoolNet. Of course, I'm in the habit of closing a program after that I'm done with its use; is there a way to get the Sticky Notes that I write, to stay on the desktop AFTER I stop the program itself?

You are right. They are not saved, nor can they be saved to the desktop.

Why close Sticky Notes If you want available on the desktop?

  • is - this rt windows have the app sticky notes?

I try to find the app sticky for use on my dell xps windows rt Tablet notes. But I can't seem to find it? Help, please!

Those who are not included, but I have a few suggestions.

Windows 8.1 update in October, you give Microsoft Outlook on your tablet.  It is of course a desktop application, but these are the sticky notes.  But Outlook has built-in sticky notes, it looks like this:

Now they have another advantage: they will synchronize.  Then you will see your reminder on all your computers.  Pretty impressive, huh?

If you're a hard-core note taker, or you want to try a modern version, I really recommend OneNote.  I'm in love, besides it works on everything: phone, Tablet, web, ipad, iphone, android... everywhere.  And he remains synchronized too.
