  My power on my laptop and volume icons disappeared recently... again. I had saved the .reg files I used last time to solve this problem and went to the problem in the same way as I used to. Problem now is that the files do not work. When I tried to merge last time to solve the problem they open in a Word document.   Are you logged on as ADMINISTRATOR?

  There must be some sort of corruption if the reg files are not associated with anything and
  When you right-click on them and select MERGE open them in Word.

  A registry fixing program will often cause such issues and they set very little.

  Hi all
  
  I would like to download the relevant files for installation of version 7. I went to the system page 9 but I cacnnot see the server hyperion essbase in English. It is in other languages such as German, Spanish etc. but not English!
  
  I think I just need customers and admins of essbase Server services. I did have exposure to install 7 so if I need anything else let me know. I'm much more familiar with 9 and I am aware 7 don't have HSS.

• When OMF add the data file in the tablespace

  We use oracle 11.2 with CMS (oracle managed file) for the database on the linux platform. the parameter - DB_CREATE_FILE_DEST had been set. at the present time, we received a message from global warming this tablespace criterion is 85% full.

  According to the document of the oracle, OMF auto will add a data file in the tablespace tast. more than a week, I do not see any data file has been added by OMF.

  I want to know when OMF adds the data file in the tablespace? 85% or 95% or some (parameter) setting this action?

  OMF does not automatically add a new data file.  You must explicitly add a new data file with the ALTER TABLESPACE ADD DATAFILE command tbsname.

  What is OMF is to provide a Unique name and a default size (100 MB) for the data file.  That is why the ALTER TABLESPACE... Command ADD DATAFILE that you run didn't need to specify the file size or file name.

• Not able to add the snapshot file to the virtual machine

  We have Win 2003 virtual machine running on ESXi 4.0.0 261974. The virtual machine has two vmdk files. We had taken the snapshot a few days back and today by mistake, we have removed one of the vmdk (DB - srv - 000001.vmdk - snapshot file). Now, we are not able to add the snapshot file to the virtual machine. When tried to add the existing vmdk, it displays only the source disk (DB - srv.vmdk). Please, help us to solve this problem.

  The GUI allows only adding the base vmdk. To add the Flash disk, you must manually change the vmx file. Registrations for the formerly removed virtual disk could still exist in the vmx file with... .present = "FALSE". After changing the vmx file you must reload the configuration. To do this, remove the VM of the inventory and add it back again (right-click on the vmx file).

  I need to create an installation package for an application LV8.6.

  The problem is that the application needs a file external .exe. How can I add it to the installer?

  I put it in the same directory of the dll, but in specifications of generation /view/source files/project only DLLs are correctly displayed.

  Can I put the .exe manually in the package?

• How can I add the .html file to my Installer?

  I'm creating an installer to put my executable compiled on the client computer.  The application also web publishing, so I have to include the following files:

  niwebserver.conf

  WebPub.ini

  WebPub.alias

  etc...   No problem as long as the installer selects and includes these files.

  I must also include the file "C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\LabVIEW 8.6\ www\WebPub.html" and then install it in the directory "C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\LabVIEW 8.6\www" on the system of the customer, because that's where the Web server is pointed.

  I'm not sure that you can get rid of the problem of physical path to the 8.6.  9.0 OR added a $LVSERVER_ROOT variable to its web configuration files.

  The path turns out to be:

  [Program Files] \National Instruments\Shared\LabVIEW Run-Time\www

  The best you can do is the path [Program Files] for Installer.  See my post here: http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=439052#M439052

  I write a step by step on how to do what you want in LabVIEW 2009.  Could work for 8.6 too, but I think remember me that some adjustment was necessary.

  It is not much more left to do, really:

  1. create your custom - bitmap button class copy most of the project advanced user interface.

  If you have an OVF, open the vSphere Client and select "Import" in the "File" menu to import the OVF. This should create a complete virtual machine for you.

  Back to a system restore point previous fixed the problem and I could again play the files in Media Player, but during the night that Windows updates installed and the morning I could not play these .mp4 files once more. So I restored to a point earlier, changed my updates so that they are is more automatic and by installing each day at a time, I finally isolated the problem in Internet Explorer 10. If I install that, just Windows Media Player will not play these files.
  I tried a manual update of Internet Explorer 10, turn off all the options of toolbars shit and everything, thinking that when it automatically installs those who may be included, but that has not helped. Had to go back to my previous IE10 restore point. So no matter what, Internet Explorer 10 kills my ability to play .mp4 on Windows Media Player files.
  I don't have toolbars running on IE9 at all.
  I know that's obvious answer is 'do not install Internet Explorer 10' or if I do, download another player for .mp4 files. But the fact is, it shouldn't happen, it is indicative of something being wrong, and I would like TO be able to install Internet Explorer 10 AND use Windows Media Player to play these files. If someone else has had this problem, or know a way to fix it?
  Here are my system specs:
  Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
  Intel Core i5 - 3350P @ 3.10 GHz CPU
  ASRock H77M LGA 1155 motherboard
  8 GB DDR3 240 - Pin SD RAM

  I tried myself after experiencing the same problem and error code. I uninstalled the KB2670838 update, and then my Windows Media Player finally worked again. I also found that IE 10 must be uninstalled as well. Installation of IE 10 also automatically installs the update of KB2670838 platform. After uninstalling KB2670838, IE 10 automatically uninstall with it, better you hide two updates so that they do not install again. From the link in the previous post, I learned that the platform update is having problems of conflict with the AMD drivers. Good luck to you and hope this helps.

  You create a NEW process for the application you want to run and provide an appropriate environment for it to run in-including the CLASSPATH or PATH environment variables.

  The Java API for the ProcessBuilder class has a simple example that shows how to create the arguments and to launch an external application.
