• Adding hard drive for poweredge 2900

  I need to add a hard drive for storage on a server poweredge 2900.  There are 4 HARD drives in a RAID 5 array, but I don't want to add the new hard drive in the array.  I installed the HDD but impossible to initialize the disc and do it online.  Is there something that needs to be done first?  I do not have the options to reconfigure, only blink and add spare of the OSMA.

  Assuming you have a PERC 5/6, it is important to know that the PERC does NOT support non-RAID.  So, if you want to use a disk like a stand-alone drive, you must first configure it in a RAID array.  The only RAID level that accepts a single drive is RAID 0.  You can do since within the OMSA inside the BONE (storage, PERC, Information/Configuration, create/New in list dropdown controller), or you can do it from the CTRL-R during POST utility (brightness, control F2, Create/New - be sure to check the advanced options and initialize boxes).

  (Reconfigure is the option that you choose to add it to your existing 5 RAID to increase its size.)

  Yesterday, I worked all day in a VI and today, unfortunately, I'm frustrated when I tried to open it. Received the following error message:

  This message repeats when I try else open a Subvi.

  Step by step:

  1. I created a copy of the LabVIEW VI example: "FuzzyEx Tanks with control of PI." I kept the copy in the same original directory.

  2 - I have edited the copy, created Subvi etc.

  3 - once I finished my course of programming I closed all the cut (ctrl-x) files and copied (ctrl v) into the other folder.

  4. then I tried to open the next day and... bug! I just couldn't do

  What can I do to open/recover the VI?

  I tried opening them and got the same error you did, so I them opened with a hex editor to see if there was something in the file, and there is literally nothing other than the value of 0x00 for the entire file.

  What does that mean?

  After checking your function prototypes as Ray says, I just delete the directory cvibuild (under the directory of the project) which is where are all the niobj files and rebuild your project.  There is a rare combination of events where the compiler/linker CVI knows not to rebuild it.  If you remove the cvibuild directory, it will force you to completely rebuild.

• PERC H330 and Raid 5, try adding another SATA drive raid 5 array

  I have one server PowerEdge T330 with 8 slots of disc and have currently 3 SATA drives running a raid 5 configuration.  I have a virtual disk configured for Raid (must).

  The operating system recognizes the disk and is able to use the resources...

  My desire is to add another hard drive to the table (hard disks of the same size, same brand, etc.) with 4 disks without losing any data.

  I looked in the settings of the iDrac and the only adjustment was to add the new disk as a global hot spare or a hot spare dedicated to the virtual drive.

  I also looked in the BIOS and do not see a way to add the new drive.

  Does anyone know how to increase capacity?  I can blow the virtual drive if necessary and start over without problem.  I intend to gradually accomplish this Act until adding 8 disks. (5 times).

  Management controllers RAID and tables is not made in the BIOS iDRAC or systems. For the management of the RAID (virtual disks) arrays, you have OpenManage Server Administrator (OMSA). If not installed, see the link: http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=TK61C once installed, go to-> Storage->-> H330 PERC controllers-> virtual disk--> sub tasks available-> select reconfigure and run-> then check a box to add the fourth disk on the next page. Follow the prompts and allows you to extend your range of RAID 5.

  In addition to the response of William Robertson (which is correct), if you do not have a way to make the server access to your local disk, you can use sql loader on your local computer to load the data into an actual table.

  Which characters do you have in your data file that define the "line break".

  Oracle documentation:

  If DELIMITED BY NEWLINE is specified, then the actual value used is platform-specific. On UNIX platforms, NEWLINE is assumed to be "\n". On Windows NT, NEWLINE is assumed to be "\r\n".
  

  you have these 'hidden' characters in your folder or are they something else?

  I'm working on a prototype site which has many images flown in the navigation. Each image is unique, but the code rollover and rollout is identical. I am trying to create a unique symbol which can be used for all the bearings, but need help to figure this out, because it will considerably speed up my work. I think that the pseudocode would work like this: Create a symbol that contains a default rollover image. In the symbol, add the code rollover and rollout. To set the transparency of 0 - > 100 and back. Create instances of the symbol on each element of the NAV. For each instance, set a variable containing the name of the rollover image to use. In this instance of symbol, get the value of the variable. In this instance of symbol, use the image name in the variable to replace the default image. Question: How do the job 4 to 6 step? I have 1-3 working smoothly. P.S. my last work of dev is waaaaay returns with the Director, PHP and ColdFusion. I still get basic principles such as the use of the functions, instances, objects, inheritance, etc., but the language has changed. And I have very very little experience with the DOM.   A big thank you Tim (?)!  You saved me a lot of hours on this project.  I'm still learning more jQuery / javascript behind Edge.  Could you assess if my interpretation of the loop content is accurate?  This is my understanding of the code is more limited:

  • SYM. $(array_btns [i]) - access to jQuery object associated with the element of border.
  • MouseEnter (...), - the content define the code to be executed during the passage of the mouse.
  • {obj:array_btns [i]} - refers to the element in the jQuery object, represented by the symbol of edge
  • function {...} - function to run on the given event within the given object/symbol.  The role of the "e" parameter is something I'm not clear on that.  The flow of the code, it seems to represent the edge symbol that contains the element that will be affected by the code.
  • var = e.data.obj BTN - implements a variable to refer to the side of edge.  I think it is the same symbol as number 1 above.
  • sym.getSymbol (btn).$("over").fadeIn (500) - runs the jquery code for fade in at the moment the jQuery "over" event is triggered.

  Also, I'm about to start testing to see if it works in nested symbols.   I guess compositionReady Trigger for each symbol, I can create a [array_btns] and then call sym.getComposition () .setup_btns ()?

  In Hyperion Planning under the administration menu there are two options, update database and another is to create database.
  Is it possible to hide/remove or do not give users access to the option 'create database'? I mean other than admin, I want all users to see 'option of create database' once they connect.

  There is no option to hide the button of database to create, but the good news is that users of planning will not be able to see this option though. As a result of commissioning, only administrators have access to the Menu administration.
