Added layer styles appears not

I've added new layer styles (.) ASL) record programfiles(x86)/adobe/photoshop elements 9/presets/styles.  They appear in my text tool and my shape tool, but I can't get to the show on my effects palette, dropping layer styles to the bottom of the selection area on the right side of my screen.  They need to be added to another location?  In my version very old I could group them into folders to bring together similar, and that would be nice here too, but just to show up so I could use them would be great.  I use Photoshop Elements 9 in Vista.

There is a tutorial for how to write an xml file to add a layer located on this page style:

  • How to set a layer style and not have some shape layers overlap?

    I don't know how to explain this very well, but I've created a mp4 to demonstrate what I worked on. I want to make sure when I apply a shadow effect drop, that all layers are affected but aren't above the knees. It is the video.

    Shape layer 2 are the lines.

    When you want to delve into problems the first thing we do is select all the layers that you have problems with, press the U key to reveal all changed properties and analyze what you see in the timeline panel. I guess right here because you don't have given us no indication of your workflow, but it makes sense that you have applied the two-tier drop shadow layer style. I'm just guessing that you used the Layer Styles and not the effect due to the title of your post.

    Since you already have the animation and now want to add a drop shadow the best thing to do would be to compose two layers prior shape and then apply a layer style or effect to the demo. Looks like you have the shadow applied to all text as layers so it would make sense to dial previously all layers, you want to have

    I probably would have used a rectangle rounded, converted the rectangle rounded for a Bézier path and the shape of the path of animation and used paths pads to get the circle to rectangle rounded on a layer of simple shape animation but I certainly would be made first before you add the same effect to all layers.

  • CC2015 layer styles does not work in CS6?

    I have Adobe CS6 and sent recently a 2 styles to work on and 3 sets of layer styles that come with it. When I insert the layer styles only few of them see the upward in the window. Is there a compatibility issue that makes the layer styles can be transferred to the old versions? Any help asap would be appreciated!

    With PS 2015, you can have several layer styles, as several different shadows. Is not backward compatible with CS6.

  • Layer Styles Panel is not set by default, nor is he has adjusted

    Hello:

    The Panel in Photoshop layer Styles is not defined by default. in other words, when I click on a layer called the Panel of the LS, rather than being set to 5px > 0% shade > 5px is 21px > 0% > 21px and so on.

    I clicked on reset to default inside the LS Control Panel button, but it does not.

    So, I tried to click Alt + Ctrl + Shift while starting with the Ps, but that did not help either.

    This sounds like a problem preferably?

    Any other suggestions?

    Thank you for your time

    Hi all...

    So, the reset button in the Layer Styles Panel never reset the default settings. But after trying several times, I was able to manually enter the settings, I thought I recalled being the default settings, and then clicked the button by default do that finally worked.

  • Layer > Layer Styles > create a layer

    Hello:

    I use this function for the first time and I wonder about a dialog box that appears and says:

    "Some aspects of the effects can be reproduced with layers.

    I tried the manual for what it means, but so far I have not found an answer.

    I was wondering what exactly this means.

    Just a warning that it is possible for some of the layer styles to not be created as a layer. This type of trial by error thing to see what styles will not be a layer. I've not seen anything in writing which sets out what will not styles or that he would cease to happen in a style.

  • I would like to apply a layer style to a layer, but I want to apply as if the edges of the layer are at the edge of the layer

    for example a stroke like the one on the right

    http://i.imgur.com/A15q0E3.jpg

    Here's a way to do it:

    1. create a new layer on top and fill it with a solid color (any color, white will do).

    2. put the 'Fill' layer to 0% - not 'opacity', 'Fill '. See the image below.

    3. Add your layer style. Layer styles are not affected by the transparency of the fill.

    I hope this helps!

  • Layer styles Photoshop 2015 not appearing is not in CS6 on a pixelated text layer

    It made by a mistake of text at the beginning when I open it. But if the layer is rasterized should elsewhere?

    Thanks in advance

    If it's a layer style and your text has a fill (all-solid), you can put the text layer in a group. Add your new layer for the group style. Add the desired above the Group fill color and hang it on the group.

    If the text has been rasterized, you can just lock the transparency of the layer and then fill the entire layer with any color you want also, then add a new layer style.

    These two things will work with CS6.

  • Added presets/styles ASL files do not show in the PES Editor

    When I installed PES v 8 on a new Windows 7 computer, I added all the ASL files I had on my old computer to the new computer. I put them in the folder settings presets/styles was expected to see when I looked for effects in the PES Editor. My imported files do not show. There was a lot of favorites among them. Anyone know why I can't see and use?

    It is not difficult to make the xml files.

    Just use this template below and substitute the names DekeLogos and Deke Logos with the name of the asl file

    http://ns.Adobe.com/PSEContent/2.0/">

    1. open Wordpad and paste it above.

    2. replace the DekeLogos and the Logos of Deke , the .asl file named

    3 save the file under the name of the asl.metadata.xml

    For example, the Deke Logos would be registered as Deke Logos.metadata.xml

    4. Once your done with that for each .asl file, put both the FSA and the xml files in

    C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\8.0\Photo Creations\layer styles

    You must remove the

    ThumbDatabase.db3 in C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\8.0

    and the

    MediaDatabase.db3 in C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\8.0\Locale\en_us

    and then restart the editor pse 8 and wait for the effects of database rebuild, which could take 10 to 15 minutes.

    Then, after rebuilding the database of the effects, they should show in the effect controls panel

  • Styles/layer/Outer Glow - not only outside, but also inside the object

    I'm applying "Styles/layer/Outer Glow" to a text object. It is clear that the outer glow also affects the color of the text (on the inside), and not only on the outside. I checked with the color code of the text before and after the application of the layer. On a rectangle object, the glow effect only on the outside... idea? The "outer glow" does not work on text elements?

    Thank you very much for the help!

    Manfred

    You got a problem with rendering order. Take a close look at the order of effects:

    In the first place the opacity of the text is changed, then a blur is added. Both alter the values of the pixels in the text. Then, the layer style is applied. Outer glow works by adding or mixed pixel from the alpha channel. The alpha value of the whole text now allows partial transparency the glow will be partially applied to the partially transparent region, color change and fully applied to the transparent area.

    The solution may involve text layers in double an acting as a track matte for each other with the glow effect applied to only one of the layers. It may involve manually generating the glow by removing the style layer and blur a duplicate of your layer text and place it behind the original text layer and a copy of the layer text without partial transparency used as cache by approach. I can't say for sure because I don't know what your animation, but I can tell you that you need more a copy of your text layer to pull this off.

  • Can I copy the image adjustments in another image if I didn't not use layer styles and adjustment layers in Photoshop?

    I have several photos captured in similar conditions and have already adjusted one of the photos for my taste. I am a complete newbie and have just read layer styles and adjustment layers and did not them you use while editing. I simply clicked on the Image > adjustments and went from there. Would be really nice if there was a way I could 'redo' these adjustments on the other photos that I stupidly forgot precise adjustments I made. Is this possible? I use Photoshop CC 2014.

    Sorry but no, this is not possible. It was possible, if you had used adjustment layers instead of making the adjustment directly on the image.

    Using adjustment layers is the best way forward: it is non-destructive; It can always be changed later or even completely deleted, and he has a mask that allows you to restrict the adjustment on the only parts of the image. And it can be saved for later reuse...

  • Copy CSS not to copy Layer Styles

    For the last few hours I tried to use the option to copy CSS, something I was not aware of so far, but seems to be an absolutely amazing feature, but it doesn't seem to be copying my layer styles, or a large part of what anyone else.

    In my bed, I have an inner glow, overlay color and outer glow, but when I copy the CSS, I get this:

    .Rectangle_3 {
      background-color: rgb(0, 0, 0);
      position: absolute;
      left: 15px;
      top: 470px;
      width: 427px;
      height: 175px;
      z-index: 102;
    }

    Of course, this does contain none of these layer styles and contains only the basic shape information.

    Is there something that I simply forgot to turn it on? Exactly, what is happening?

    Well, you can not copy that does not support CSS. These things work completely differently when creating using web technologies. An outer glow is for example just a shadow double and some blend modes are not supported by browsers, too. I'm afraid it's one of those terrible misunderstandings "I can make impressive websites using the PS". You can just avoid reading on what actually works on the web before you go trigger happy on the design of things if you want to keep things dynamic and editable even in the design of your site. Not to say that some poor engineer PS could not write a lot of code just to give you a part of that kind of thing, but the web is still undermined by differences in rendering in different browsers as well as various support for some functions, it is an eternal battle and it can work just never completely.

    You can load the layer style using the Styles Panel using load or replace Styles.

    Window > Styles

    You can also put the asl file in any

    / Applications/Adobe Photoshop CC 2014/Presets/Styles

    or

    your user library

    /Users/ Your user name Application support/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CC 2014/Presets/Styles

  • Photoshop layer styles not recognized by muse

    It seems that the layer styles (bevel, outer glow, etc) on my buttons are not displayed for the individual layers when you place a photoshop button in muse with the exception of the composite option. I had to record each layer as a png first, then put them all back into a single file.

    Is this a bug or just me? The similar problem only that I could find was back in April.
