  • HP Laser Jet 400 M401n: "incorrect email address" when adding 2nd ePrint printer account

    QUESTION:
Get the error described trying to create a new email ePrint address after the attempt to add printer 2nd on our account.

    INFORMATION:
+ It shouldn't matter AT ALL because this is a process based on the web, but I'm on a Mac with OS 10.10.5 (Yosemite)
    + Printer already noted.

    * Sign on my HP, goto tab account and add a printer.
    * Enter the claim code on the printer I just got directly from my printer.

    * who did then appear next to enter an email address you want, such as: "[email protected]".
HP site suggests actually creating your own custom address to make it easy to remember.

    * After this point, a small error in the instruction text appears, saying: "incorrect email address.

    * The only option available - persevering emails unnecessary, because NOTHING will not work, or... Press CANCEL

    * After the cancellation - my printer does NOT appear in my devices tab and to try once again, I must first of all remove the printer.
    * "delete printer" web services, back on my computer through services of printer via a web browser.

    ATTEMPT:

    * This has been a useless cycle and NEVER accomplished anything.  I tried to change the passwords of my SnapFish account AND my HP account online (which holds my ePrint account.

    * I tried the process on different browsers.  Does NOT work, or assistance.

    * And support HP online chat was totally USELESS with this question.  Either completely stupid points, or stupid questions that I had already answered or based on the information I had already tried.

How can I get a second added printer if I can't spend not to add a second email ePrint?

During the process, I could see that the printer has been added successfully.  I wouldn't be able to get to the next step (addition of e-mail) if it was not true.  However, I couldn't see the icon of the printer after they told me that my printer has been added.  Do not complete the E-mail process will make all the incomplete process.

    THE QUESTION AND ANSWER:
The answer is the one who MUST be one of the first base of troubleshooting tips to do.  Check which browsers are used.  Most importantly make sure that Flash and/or Java is activated or as there are no extensions you might have that either inhibits these features somehow minor or major.  I had extensions that monitor those aspects that I have just went into Safari and temporarily disabled.  After completing the process - I turned on my rear power switch.

NOTE TO ANY HP TECHNICAL SUPPORT *.
The question is and has NEVER been on "BONES" - or more precisely, of Macintosh OS, which is superior in any case.  One based on web service or function such as this has NOTHING to do with the operating system.

  • MY more than 8600 HPOfficejet Pro does not print on any e-mail. I added the printer e-catalog, one

I use a HP Officejet 8600 pro, I am running Windows 7 64 bit.  I have no error message when I send the e-mail, it just never happens.  My e-mail program (link century Mail) indicates that the message has been sent correctly.  This is a new printer, and I think that it is put in the right seat.  It prints correctly on my email address and I added in e print, but still nothing. I missed a step somewhere?

    Hello dnulgoks,

The error message that you normally receive with the "550 5.7.1" means the area of the address you send from is rejected by ePrint servers because it appears to be spam. This can happen due to a few reasons, but the best way to work around this problem is usually just to use a different email address.  Here is a link to another thread with the same question and some suggestions for resolution:

    Setting up a shared printer

"The most common way to make a printer available to a home network is traditionally to connect to one of the computers and then tell Windows to share it. This is called a shared printer.

The advantage of sharing a printer is that it works with any USB printer. Side tilted? The host computer must always be fed up, otherwise the rest of the network will not be able to access the shared printer. »

  • Problem adding network printer C6280

Hi, I have a desktop pc (XP pro), linked to a DSL / wireless router. I also have my laptop (XP pro) I use at work, which I use for most wireless home but who want to print on my network printer. So I installed the printer through my desktop pc, Copy to my router and everything works fine...

... However, I can't install it on my laptop. I tried to add through the 'Add printer' Wizard in XP - I added the name of the printer (HP439760) in the dialog box «Connect to this printer...» "initially, he asks me a username and password. Great, I thought - I have no idea what these details are as I have not put them to the printer. Each later after the first time that I have to say, the password prompt does not - only the error message saying the printer is not found. I have to sign out and then sign back in, in order to display the password box when I try and add the printer.

I would be grateful if someone can make sure I'm doing this right by asking some questions - looks like it's a simple task to add a printer on another computer!

    1. any ideas I can see why the password box when I try and add the printer? That the user name and password would be - as I have already mentioned, I have not set these for the printer and don't even know how. Could it be related to username / password for my desktop - the machine, I used to install the printer on the network in the first place, or the credentials of my laptop as I normally connect to a domain at work?

2 - is the right way to add the printer, or should I use the downloadable exe file from the support page of the printers? I prefer not to do this as there seems to be a lot of software that is also installed when you install the printer and I don't want to install it on my work laptop - I just want to be able to print at home!

    Thanks in advance.

Well, it seems like all I had to do was to use the database page to download - all fixed driver package.

  • Adding 2nd hard drive for Dell E310

    Hello

I recently made some updates to my E310 and, until I got to the point where I was adding the second hard drive, everything went well.

First of all, nobody in my local computer store knew of the blue Paw was to add 2nd hard drive; They suggested screw. This isn't the first hard drive I have installed, even if it is the first in my Dell. After my third attempt of Googling, I struck gold - a post in the forum explaining that support is needed and a telephone number to order. I am so grateful for this response.

I read in similar positions and before putting the drive in I want to understand what is needed after the physical installation. This player will not hold the OS (XP Media), but held the whole image, music, and various files. Still must the player be partitioned and formatted using disk management I read in another post? I understand that I must go into the Bios to activate the second hard drive, so to speak. Is this similar to enter the CMOS? Would you be able to provide clear instructions?

Is there anything else I should do to get the new HDD to be operational?

Thank you for your time and thanks to the person who posted this phone number.

    CS.

  • Satellite P500-12D adding 2nd HARD drive

Toshiba UK say it is not possible to install a second drive in a P500-12D.
The reason seems to be that the "bowl" for the second disk drive carrier is not sold.
I was also told that the second drive Bay could not be used "on the model" but the sata connection is there and inserts brass threaded in the case of the scree of the carrier are present.

The Bay is deeper than 1 Bay (for the thicker > 500 GB drives and, therefore, the support unit for the 1st Bay can be used - entire centres are also different.)

    Ideas for a work around?

Sorry for the spelling mistakes - my original message would not be accepted "your message contains profanity or inappropriate language.
In the interest of your fellow forum users, we ask you to change your message.
"but no indication as to where." Maybe it's that the things happening in the threaded inserts are not allowed

    Peter K

    > The reason seems to be that the "bowl" for the second disk drive carrier is not sold.
The reason is that there are different configurations of P500
The P500 and other series of Toshiba laptops are equipped with different motherboards.
Not all motherboards support 2 HARD drive controllers.

This can be a bit confusing for someone buying a laptop and see the second HARD drive Bay, but if you would remove the 2nd HARD drive Bay cover, then you will see that there is no HARD drive connector.
This means that you will not be able to use the second HARD drive.

  • Brother HL2170W printer driver not connect with preferences, printers, adding a printer.  OS El Captain 10.11.3

My Brother HL2170W printer has suddenly stopped working as my mac wasn't connection-one day perfect and then not next.  I deleted and reinstalled the driver, but the El Captain does not see the printer, when I click on printers and add a printer, that nothing is there.  I tried to restart and reload the driver, nothing works.  As a first step, that the message was that this printer is not connected, I tried to wake up with multiple uplugging and plug and reboots and finally remove the printer.  Then reinstalling didn't work and I'm totally stuck.  How can I get this printer to be visible and connected?

The display of a network in the add a printer printer relies on the Hello Protocol. For a printer not to be shown then it seems indicate a problem with the Bonjour service. A workaround solution is to create a printer using the IP address of the printer. There you have to learn the address IPv4, the printer uses which can often be found by printing a page of configuration via the control panel printers. Once you have this information, you can choose to add a printer and with the default view, click the icon of intellectual property. You can then enter the IPv4 address and set the Protocol to HP Jetdirect-Socket. You can leave the field empty queue and change the name of the IPv4 address to something meaningful, like brother HL2170W. The last step is to select the support brother HL2170W PPD menu use. With this set of information, you can press on the printer to add to complete the creation of the printer, and then print a document to test.

  • HP ENVY Phoenix 810-135qe CTO Desktop PC adding 2nd hard drive

I have added a second hard drive to my system (3 TB Seagate) that is the same (brand / model) on the main drive.  Device Manager sees the drive, but Win 7 Pro does not see the drive.

    Hello

Look in to the new hard drive disk management.  To use the full capacity of the drive, you'll need to be initialized and he the GPT format.  Don't forget to assign a drive letter and a volume name.  In addition, make sure that the drive appears as online and not in offline mode.

  • Envy 17 t n100: help adding 2nd drive 256 GB SATA SSD (TLC) m2

    Hi all

I'm a noob advanced and need some advice and assistance, I just bought an n-100 Envy 17 t. Lack of resources, I don't have the 2nd drive 256Go M.2 SATA SSD (TLC) or pull the memory up to 16 GB max. Memory should be 1 stick of 8 Go DDR3L-1600 to max the16GB?

    Here are my specs.

    murrayotl

Put simply, assuming you want to migrate to Windows from the HARD drive of 1 TB to a 256 GB SSD, there is no simple way to do it.

The best way to do it, as I've done several times, is to use a third party called Macrium Reflect application.  It's free and will lets you clone (1) a drive - make an exact copy of a disc on another and (2) image/restore disks - a copy of a disc and then copy on a second disc.

If you can climb both drives at the same time, then (1) is the way to go.  Otherwise, to do (2), you must clone the drive to an external drive, plug the new external drive and then 'restore' from the hard drive to the new drive.

When the first doping, select the option "Backup--> Image disks selected" to clone the current drive to the new drive.

When you do the second, select "Create an image of the partition (s) required to backup and restore Windows" to write a full backup to an external drive or USB key

The PROBLEM you have is that a partition of 1 TB is wrong simply to fit on a disk of 250 GB - if you have work to do.  You should run Disk Manager to narrow down the OS partition to be used in total less than 250 GB of disk space.

You can run the Windows disk management by following the steps below:

    (1) Control Panel to type in the search box

    2) click on Control Panel

    3) click on Administrative Tools

    4) click on disk management

Once there, you will see the list of partitions.  Select the one which contains the OS (or great) and see how you can reduce it.  On the 1 TB drive, you will have to drop below 200 GB - to be sure.

The PC will then probably need to reboot to make the changes.

Once you have restarted in Win10, install Macrium Reflect - and follow the instructions I left above.

Once the migration is completed, stop your PC, replace the SSD HARD drive and reboot.

If all goes well, you should start in Win10 without any problem.

    Good luck

  • HP Photosmart Premium C309g-m: adding a printer wireless

I try to add a wireless printer to my laptop Toshiba Satellite A505 running 64-bit Windows 7 SP1.  When I go to devices and printers and click Add a printer, and select Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer I get two entries for the same HP printer

    Printer Name                                                                                                    Address

    HPxxxxxx (HP Photosmart Premimum C309g-m) http://192.168.1.10:3910 /

    Photosmart C309g-m (HP) 192.168.1.10 Premimum

These are the same printer.  We must I use and why?

    Hello @MAHRJB ,

    Welcome to the HP forum.

I understand that you have a question about two different printers you see when you try to add a printer.

HP has worked with microsoft to put the simplest version of the printer drivers in the windows operating system.

    It works little inspiring plug-and-play.

This is a nice feature for the windows operating system, but it supports only the most characteristic of the printer.

It appears as HPxxxxxx (your printer here) http://000.000.0.0

Choose this one will give you the ability to print.

I would recommend another option you see. This will give you a better use of your printer.

I hope this helps.  Let me know if you have any other questions.
