Adding a card usb 3.0 on compaq presario cq5329f

Can I add a USB 3.0 card in an expansion slot in a Compaq Presario CQ5329F using Windows 7 Professional?

Hello:

It should be no problem.

You can add a PCIe x 1 card or a PCI card for the diagram of the motherboard shows that you have 2 PCIe x 1 slots and one PCI slot.

Are what video connectors your monitors supported?  Most of the low-end cards have vga and DVI connectors, you should swing $30-$60.  If you are looking for dual DVI, nVidia has a 8600GT for around $100 but may need to get connector to power the card with your current diet.

  • Compaq presario v6000: what video card is installed in the compaq presario v6000

I updated my system to Windows 10, but now my video is terrible because Windows uses the pilot of "Microsoft base Display Adapter".  I was not able to get NVIDIA to automatically detect the exact card that is used in my laptop.  He always tells me that I need to have Java installed before it can detect automatically, but Java IS already installed.  I need the right driver for this card before I can have a good "10 Windows experience".

I see that your laptop is not yet supported by HP for Windows 7, so...

See if it works.  If it is not, unfortunately, I don't have any other ideas for you to try.

Download and run this driver.  You will probably get an error not supported operating system.

This package contains the display driver VGA NIVDIA for NVIDIA GeForce Go graphics in notebook models and operating systems.

    File name: sp35686.exe

Go to Device Manager and click on the graphics card Microsoft Basic.  Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.

Select her browse my computer for driver software option and navigate to the folder of the driver that was created when you ran the file.

This file will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp35686.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and see if the pilot goes like this.

    Then restart.

What is the best graphics card upgrade which can my Compaq Presario SR5710F can support? I'm ready to upgrade the power also, but hear that the motherboard do not put anything above 350 watts regardless of power.

You can install any PCIe x 16 video card you want. The limiting factor is going to be the power supply. More power the longer video card POWER supply. About what you hear about the motherboard, I found nothing to that effect. To qoute request-leo,' I heard a matter of concern that a power high power can somehow 'forcing' the power on the computer, resulting in overheating and burnout. Nothing could be further from the truth. A power supply provides power in response to the need; It does not matter where power grow. If your computer only needs 100 watts, then a 500 Watt power supply will only provide 100 watts. Why have a 500 Watt power supply? For the use of 'pic' (sometimes material will require 'sudden' power, as at the beginning upward or under heavy load) and for future expansion. »

It is better to have too much power too littleand to get the right size. By that I mean the physical size - come in many standard sizes out there, and they are not interchangeable.

  • 5 GHz WiFi card update - Compaq Presario

I just got a new router today and found out that it is a double router broadband and supports the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. I was wondering if I could update my existing WiFi card that supports only the 2.4 GHz and get one that will take in charge the 5 GHz band. Also if I have a 5 GHz WiFi card in my laptop can still connect to networks that support 2.4 GHz only? How much would cost a new card? And finally, if I can improve my card, how I put in my laptop?

    Data sheet:

    Model: Compaq Presario CQ57-33WM

OS: upgrade to Windows 8.1 Pro

Memory: Updated 6 GB of RAM

Hard drive: 320 GB 5400 RPM

Processor: FSB of 1333 MHz 1.50 GHz Intel Celeron processor B800

    Network cards:

    Realtek RTL8188CE 802.11 b/g/n WiFi Adapter

    Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller

(A lot of WAN Miniports is also listed in Device Manager)

Can I still switch my wireless card based on these specifications? It would be difficult to change? Let me know if you need more information on the computer.

Also, if it ends up that I can't change my card or it is really hard to change, could use something like this as a last resort? Double USB adapter wireless broadband

    Hello

According to the service manual this lappy does not support 5 GHz wireless cards. Most recent computers based Intel Mobile (Ivy Bridge and higher) support the latest maps wireless Intel including the last 7260AC one. Your laptop is older, so I can't say with certainty what will work or not. In this case I suggest to get some usb adapters wireless such as that of your link or one of them:

    Hello

I just tried to driver guide and found the chipset software I was looking for (links and info below), this package contains drivers for audio, ethernet and Smbus controller memory; everything that you need.  I don't know why this isn't on the software/driver download page, but it is not. Hope this helps someone in the future, so you don't need to pull me hair link.

  • Compaq Presario SG2025IL: updating graphics card

I have a Compaq Presario SR2025IL, which was used a computer to type. Now, he was bequeathed to me and I want to update its graphics to make a gaming computer. Any suggestions for a graphics card?

Thank you for the additional information and the link with your computer's specifications, @NeelCool.

Before making any recommendations, I want you to know that your computer is not simply cabable of being a machine good game.  The most important thing against the fact that the maximum memory is only 2 GB, DDR.  It is simply not enough to work with recent intensive video games.  In addition, the only expansion slots are PCI and AGP.  They are very slow.  I'd rather see you save money and buy a newer computer when you can afford it.

  • Boot from USB on Compaq Presario V2610

    Hello

I have an old machine on which I intend to install Lubuntu 13.10 replacing, which is the following.

    Compaq Presario V2610 notebook PC

    PhoenixBIOS F.25

    BIOS settings:

    Advanced > Boot Order >-hard drive >

    BIOS hard drive Option:

    ! IC25N060... (I disabled the HARD drive via the '! ')

AVIXE PDU01_2G 67A2.0 (I have a USB 2.0 flash drive that also supports 1.0, which the BIOS sees it, and it is recognized)

The BIOS is configured to try hard as third in the boot order, even the default normal setting.

I confirmed that this USB itself and its distribution Lubuntu is valid. Lubuntu stops on her successfully, on another machine manufacturer and BIOS. However, when I try to boot from the USB port on the Presario, I see:

PXE - E61: Media test failure, check cable of

PXE - M0F: Exit PXE ROM

If I connect a LAN cable to remove this message, I see this instead:

CLIENT MAC ADDR: (mac address) GUID: (guid)

    DHCP... (spinning "/")

PXE - E53: no boot file received

PXE - M0F: Exit PXE ROM

I didn't, it should be a cable LAN by the BIOS for a standalone install USB, but in all cases, the BIOS doesn't seem to be reading this viable USB Lubuntu drive. I tried both ports on the machine.

I also tried a Win7-32 bit USB, via USB from the separate manufacturer a - DATA. In both cases, the Presario BIOS recognizes the device, the name of his unique manufacturer, but fails to boot on it.

Can you let me know what I am doing wrong?

    Hello

I solved the problem on my own. It turns out that boot prescription must be set up in the BIOS, rather than simply turn off the HARD disk write via «!» F5/F6 accomplishes that.

    BIOS hard drive Option:

AVIXE PDU01_2G 67A2.0 (F6 to swap the order)

    IC25N060...

The USB key is then recognized at startup.

    Sorry for the post.

They need a good cleaning and had.
The noise of the Presario is indeed the fan on the radiator, it's just old and tired. Who cannot be strong in a music room; new fan may not be too expensive.
So I decided the Presario is my starting point.

I would add the hard drive of the Slimline as slave; they have different connectors tho.

    (1) if I just unplug the V2000 CD reader (that has the straight plugs) and use them to connect the second hard drive will I just lost my CD player? It is very good.
    (2) what parameters of rider (if any) do I need to have on each disc? Do not see outside the car Slimlines.

I looked closer 2 slots for RAM and noticed that beside them there seems to be 2 places in addition to the Board of Directors, unused with no present holders plastic.

    (3) is it possible to add more slots and double the RAM? I would get 8 + GB and a 64-bit system end by ;~)

Neither office seems to have the ability to run 2 monitors as is. No problem 29 "should do for now.
Can't see a way to take the card out of the Slimline wireless and put it in the Presario. Internet not immediately necessary, hard connection cable always an option.

All the other tips and advice on how to optimize my sytem are also welcome.

  • Compaq Presario SR1619UK: Need to be able to provide information for installing a graphics card

    Hello, everyone.

I have inherited a HP/Compaq Presario SR1619UK recently and think to install a new graphics card to replace the ATI Radeon Xpress 200 integrated chipset. What I need to know is this: -.

I have searched all over the pages of the specification and support and can not find ANYWHERE, any information on the feeding on this model (output in watts) output.

How much power do the PCI slots of power?

I don't want a top-of-range for the games graphics card, or lots of work video (I'm in my early 50 years); what I'm after is a decent graphics, which will give me good screen resolution and behavior when you work with the Adobe PhotoShop & CreativeSuite. That's why I want to know what is the amount of power the power supplies supply actually... This is quite an old model, probably, it will provide no schedule for a graphics card powerful card... and this isn't what I'm looking for, anyway.

Any help with this information would be much appreciated.

    Life is what you make...

You can only be sure of three things in life; birth, death, and taxes; Hah!

    Hello

Open the PC and read the label on the power supply.  What is the total power? I suspect not over 300 watts.

The site in the past has posted Adobe recommended and certified cards video for products Adobe.  Look at what Adobe has published.

Study it released a Guide to selection of a discrete graphics card.

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/desktop-hardware/Guide-for-selecting-a-discrete-video-card/TD-p/1299011

Features of the power supply are a slipperly slope. Rated efficiency will go down with age and power more old supplies are not very effective. Not all the PSUs being manufacutered are quality power supplies.  In addition, manufactuers video card take into consideration a lot of information including the many unknowns that might exist with PCs when they specify the size of power minimum recommended power supply.
