Adding a net to a polygon

Hi all

I have a simple problem that I can't solve at the moment. I'm basically a beginner when it comes to the Ultiboard and therefore some problems. I have a simple 1 layer with top and bottom Board. I would like to place a polygon in copper at the bottom of the card for all conical fittings. I have no problem crearing a polygon to the bottom layer, but I can't seem to find a way to assign a net to the polygon. Can someone help me with this?

Thanks in advance.

Viktar

1. select polygon.
2 design > shape to the area.
3. right click on the polygon, and then select Properties.
4. in the dialog box select Area of Cooper.
5. activate connected to the net and select net in the list.

  • Separate 0v track of the ground plane

    Hello

Is there a way to have a plan of mass (net 0) and a separate record, which is also on the net 0, the idea being that the separate track is carrying a high current and I'm not being developed on the ground plane. When I draw the trace and then add a ground plan, brings all of this together, ideally I want only 2 to respond to the level of the input connector. I have worked around this in the past by placing a dummy ferrite to the Board of Directors and by assigning the other side of it to DGND but hoped a built-in way to handle this.

    Thanks for any advice.

    RGS,

    Lucither.

    RGS,

You have a few methods to do...

Separate reasons of a. threaded and net bridge.

You can implement the design as you have already done - create ground ' net 0' and create a separate ground net "cgnd" or "dgnd", etc... ".  For these nets, rather than create a powerplane (Place-> Powerplane...) create a separate copper (site-> box of copper) for each individual network area.   Rather than tie them with a component 'false', you can tie them with a net bridge (Place-> Net bridge) to create a star of the Earth at a single point.   The only drawback to a net bridge is that it is run only in Ultiboard - there is no reference to him in Multisim.   You can create an element of resistance only simulation (black color) in Multisim with a very low value and label this R_netbridge to take this into account and tie between '0 'net and your soil replacement.   I also already posted on other patterns and symbols that you can use.   I also asked this for a future version of Multisim.

    http://forums.NI.com/T5/circuit-design-suite-Multisim/isolated-ground-and-analog-ground-in-Multisim/...

    B. only reason net split with polygon separator.

You can create a single ground plane (Place-> Powerplane...) and then use the polygon separator to divide the plan as the strong current flows only back to the point of mass star.   The tool is located in the menu (Design-> Spllitter polygon) - Note - I think that its only available on UB PowerPro so.   At this point, the user must define how the plane is trimmed.  Don't forget that you're not carve out islands that do not connect back to a common point.    One tip is to start from the edge of the Board or of the polygon and work toward the point of the star on the ground.   Also note that some of the polygon / aircraft parameters can reverse the polygon splitter settings, you may need to adjust the settings if you don't get good results.   If you enable the plane and go to properties - tab "Copper Zone" has the vacuum/Island settings I give caution all.

    C. create unique net, copper area allows to separate

You can create a single net, but then use the place-> copper area to separate the plane manually as needed.   The polygon tool lets you create individual islands - and you have to manually link them to a single point.

    Kind regards

  • Make the connections JDBC TNS on Oracle 11 g

    Hello

I am a developer ColdFusion 8 (CF), tries to form a connection on Oracle 11 g TNS. The CF service runs on a CentOS5 server. Here are the steps I took:

-Added oracle.net.tns_admin=/folder1/folder2/folder3/OracleTNS d argument in my list of JVM arguments

-Place the tnsnames.ora file in the folder referenced by the oracle.net.tns_admin parameter

-Placed ojdbc6.11.2.0.4.jar in the classpath, restarted CF and verified that CF detected and loaded

-Implementation of the JDBC URL: jdbc:oracle:thin:@MyTNS.DB

    -Class driver used: oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver

When I try to connect, I get the error:

Invalid connection string format, a valid format is: ' host: port: sid. The root cause was that: java.sql.SQLRecoverableException: IO error: format invalid connection string, a valid format is: ' host: port: sid.

I tested another driver that came with CF: the Macromedia driver. For the TNS to work with her, I used the following JDBC URL:

    JDBC:Macromedia:Oracle:TNSNamesFile =/folder1/folder2/folder3/OracleTNS/tnsnames.ora. TNSServerName = MyTNS.DB

This connection worked! This shows, at least, that the tnsnames.ora file is OK. So, my problem seems to work with the last 11g driver ojdbc6.11.2.0.4.jar and the good URL JDBC. I would just use the Macromedia driver. But, it is very old and I prefer to use the updated driver. If anyone has any ideas on what other measures I could do, please chime.

above is wrong syntax, it should be as below. (see the difference)

    Hi Carl,

  • JavaFX and FTP applet

    Hi all!!!

I do a JFX Applet that will make an ftp transfer, but it does not work. I added - Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack = true VM options (I use Netbeans). If the firewall is disabled, it works perfectly, but if the firewall is turned on, it does not work. (Software caused connection abort: socket write error).

I think that this problem is caused by the firewall Windows7 + Java7 bug.

How can I to run it as an Applet?

Thank you in advance. Sorry for my bad English.

Software caused the abandonment of the connection: socket write error

This message indicates a network problem (too many attempts). Is not an applet problem specifically.

I think that this problem is caused by the firewall Windows7 + Java7 bug.

I don't. That translates into an authorization error or a "connection reset by peer: socket error writing ' after 30 seconds on Google." Which suggests as there are several problems, not just one.

  • How to configure JRE?

In a previous thread, I was told that my Java 7 has been misconfigured. But I find absolutely nothing in the documentation on the configuration of it.

What I want to do is to make sure that, when I call him the java.net.preferIPv4Stack = true parameter is defined without typing (or, more generally, misspellings) it every time.
    ptoye wrote: >

Some results suggest that the necessary format would be something like - Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack = true, but
I had hoped that there will be a link with some type of
Tutorial Java that actually tells you how to set the settings without having to guess.

    tschodt wrote:
Ask yourself if you specify - Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack = true at the launch of Java defines the parameter java.net.preferIPv4Stack true?

    (1) no - even I would have taken that as obvious.

You can design a way to determine if you specify - Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack = true does what you want?

    (2) no I know what works by running my simple program.

You can design a way to determine if adding - Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack = true to the JAVAOPTIONS env. var. does what you want?

    (3) n - (2). I tried it and it doesn't work.

It works fine for me, both on Windows and Linux (and Solaris).

When I add - Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack = true to JAVAOPTIONS and run Java I

    C:\>java -version
    Picked up _JAVA_OPTIONS: -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true

Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 20.1-b02, mixed mode, sharing)

How can you add - Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack = true to the JAVAOPTIONS env. var.?

I also tried to add this string to the run settings in the java configuration mechanism in the Panel.

There are two settings that configure you env.vars for in the control panel; Java applets and Java Webstart.
It is only for Java applications launched in any of those contexts.

    But what is the syntax?

    The syntax of what? Where?

This is why I am asking if there is any kind of tutorial or documentation on the Java configuration.

Once we have determined what you are looking for specific information, we can probably find plenty of tutorials that cover.
Now, I always try to determine exactly what information you are looking for.

Of course no help here to actually work is gratefully received. But inability to Oracle (probably inherited from Sun) to provide what I thought was enough basic information is frustrating.

I can not comment. Yet. I still don't know what information you are looking for.

After all, they are competing with MS and their products of Visual Studio and must do better to compete.

You speak of an IDE? Like eclipse or Netbeans (which are free)?

Hello! I have a program that dynamically draws a polygon anywhere where the user clicks on the screen. Is there a problem with the depth when you draw symbols vs drawing with lines? How can ensure me that my smart object will display in the face?

    Thank you

    Will be

OK the problem is that you have the graphics in the main class through the polygon class to draw

which works great but all the objects in the main class, if they are added before or after the polygon will appear above any line draw

    to work around this problem

change the DrawPolygon() function do not take a target

    so

public void DrawPolygon() (x: Number, y: Number, sides: uint, RADIUS: Number, angle: number = 0): void

adjust the call to this function in hand in the appropriate form

then in DrawPolygon() instead of references to target just replace them with graphics this will draw on the contrary to the purpose of polygon graphics

Note You can put calls Graphics.Clear and graphics.lineStlye early DrawPolygon() so

We can then remove the clear and graphics.lineStyle calls in your main class

    hope that makes sense

adding the station wifi in my living room will help with a question that mail get hung up and not updated?

    Unlikely.

This will help the speed of my connection?

    Maybe, probably not.

Is your Mac faster when near the time Capsule, when in the living room?  There is a good chance, with a local access point will help.

When you look at the WiFi menu bar icon.  You have full bars (good), or is it partial (perhaps a repeater would help)?

If you 'Option' click the WiFi icon is your in-30, - 40, - 50 RSSI value '?  and your noise value in the - 80-90, you are actually pretty good.

Then chances are that you get a signal strong enough.

You can check all the contradictory signals in your area via 'Option', click the WiFi icon--> select Wireless Diagnostics

In the Wireless Diagnostics menu find "Utilities", then select the Wi - Fi Analysis tab, or the menu will just sweep "Wi - Fi", you choose (depends on when Apple changed the Wireless Diagnostics menus.

Performs a Scan of Wi - Fi will show you your's and your neighbor's WiFi access points.

You want to focus on the channels, the RSSI and sound columns.

Channels: You don't want to use the same channel as a neighbour, unless their SECURITY is very low (-70, of-80 to-90), _and_ your RSSI is strong (-30,-40,-50).  If it is a 2.4 GHz channel, you also a 5-channel separation between you is your nighbor harder.  Channels 1, 6 and 11 do not overlap and are common choices, especially if you have several access points in your home.  Once again, if the neighbors have weak signals, you don't really care, because you interfere not with them, and they do not interfere with you.

5 GHz channels do not overlap and are also much faster than the 2.4 GHz channels.

But that doesn't mean that you do not want to play with this material.

We know the Apple Time Capsule.  Is the "wireless Station" an Airport Express?  Or some 3rd party WiFi router/AP to access?

If an Airport Express Terminal, you can use Airport utility to extend your network.  Is not ideal, but easy to install.  Just make sure when you put the Airport Express is a place where it receives a good signal of the time Capsule, otherwise it's just trying to spread the wrong signal as it gets.  Wireless diagnosis can be useful to identify a good location.

A performance-based approach is to run the Ethernet of the time Capsule to what is your WiFi Station.  Set up the device, then it shuts down its functions of router (Apple calls this 'bridge', other Mode to do this disable you DHCP and NAT services).  You give the WiFi Station a different channel (see above discussion of channel overlap).  You give the WiFi Station the exactly the same WiFi (SSID) name and the password.  Now you will have setup a network of 'Roaming', where the devices will pass you to a different when access point channel it uses currently becomes too low.

This will help the speed of my connection?

Another criterion for speed, is how fast your ISP connection vs how old is your WiFi router.

If you use 5 GHz channels, you can then begin to worry about this when your ISP speed starts to become well above 50megabits/s

If you use only 2.4 GHz channels, 15-25' ish speeds are OK on 802.11 g.  802.11n is a little more efficient and can tighten increasingly close to 40-50' ish speeds.

If you have more than 100megabits per second, you want to have a router with 802.11ac protocols up-to-date and a newer Mac with 802.11ac support.

This requires that you are the only consumer of your ISP connection.  If you share with your family, and there are lots of type YouTube and Netflix streaming, so your Mac doesn't have to have 802.11ac, but you don't want to a fast router in support of all the other devices sharing the bandwidth.  In this case a 2nd access point connected via ethernet can help share the problems of band radio bandwidth.

I originally bought it for the trip, but I'm not find much use for it on the road and am thinking of using it at home.

I have access to 5 GHz 802.11ac very cheap $10 point (not a router), I take with me.  I plug it into the ethernet port on the hotel or a router condo rented for give me a channel which is not sung from neighboring access points and shared connections.  I find that the hotel WiFi is often low, and you share the connection with a ton of other guests.  In a rented condo, you have tons of other condos all competing for 2.4 GHz channels (co-owners often get a cheap router 2.4 GHz 802.11 g, so everyone tries to find a channel not used).  Having my own 5 GHz WiFi access point means that I have no need to fight with others for bandwidth and the right channels.

Just thought I'd pass that along.  And the wireless diagnostic tests are a great way to find out what the competition is where you stay.

  • want to remove some programs from my "adding and deleting' on the control panel

I am wanting to remove some programs from my "adding and deleting' on the control panel.  I have several that I don't know if they are necessary in order to do not want to delete them until I have found.  Example: Microsoft.NET framework 2.0 service pack 2, if I said the same thing with the exception of program 3.0 can remove either one or both or what?  Redistributible MS Visual C ++ 2005 and also have 2008 and 2110.  Platform Installer 3.0, WCF RIA Services V1.0 for visual studio 2010.  I don't even remember downloading all of this stuff, but don't know if it has a meaning to my computer or not.  Y at - it somewhere I can look to find such information?  Don't like silly things like this, but would rather ask that screw up something.  Thank you

    Hello

    • What version of Windows are you using?

I suggest you to see these steps:

    a. type msinfo32 in the start search box and press on Enter.

    b. a pop-up window, press CTLR + A, then CTLR + C and after that information here.

    c. then we can suggest you what program needs to be uninstalled.
