  Howdy,

  I think my phone has caught the flu.  A couple of weeks, that many buttons returns that ' b$, "including the ALT, the return key and some letters.  As you can imagine, trying to type "Hi, how are you doing?" and she burst "Hb$ b$ n how are you dob$ ng$ v ' is really unpleasant.  I restarted and took the battery out of the stupid thing a million times, and it didn't get better.  Then one day he was just started working again.  Now, a few weeks later, the alt key and the BACKSPACE still do. Someone comes on this before and no one knows how to fix?

  It's a curve 8310 with google maps, weatherbug, gmail, facebook and the WSJ app installed.

  Most likely, there is no chance that it's a software issue.

  There is a small chance that it's a hardware problem. If you are sure of this, return it for a replacement under warranty.

  There's more chance that it is a question of moisture. Only because I've seen too many times that same problem before.

  Dry out. In 3-5 days you will know for some. If I am mistaken, nothing is lost.

  If it is damage from moisture and you dry out, the device may be lost.

  I'm really not sure if it is indeed a bug, or I could just be missing something else.

  I created a very simple project of 30 slides in Captivate 4 with some text entry areas. What is the peculiarity of the ETB, is that they contain a = (equal) sign which must be validated, e.g. = New.  I publish the project in AS3 and whoooah problem occurs.

  I enclose below a screenshot of the published output.

  Have someone else encountered this problem?

  I also discovered that when I move to AS3 to AS2 there is no problem at all.

  If the problem is resolved by deleting the = character in the text box, then I would say that Captivate is tripping over it as if it were a piece of code.

  I would call it a bug, but I know that there are other characters and symbols which have been found to cause problems.  I put the brackets [] once in a CC text and that polluted a project as well.

  Save as a bug or feature request and see what happens.

  In the meantime, you may need to find another way to convey your point in the lesson without using this method of text box?

• Captivate 9 - text entry area - cannot navigate through the input of text boxes on the same slide using enter key (works only tab)

  I designed a slide that has 3 areas of text entry.

  I need the user to be able to type in their response to the first box and then press the ENTER key, it will pass them in the next text box. After typing in their response to the second box, press ENTER, and then have developed pass to the third area.

  I don't want to use tab, I want to go to work as a shortcut key, so this works well on all devices. It feels like a trip to the logic of the user.

  I removed the button SUBMIT and check the validate user input.

  I put the shortcut key to ENTER in propriety / Actions area

  However, after that type in an answer and pressing on enter, the focus is not moved in the input text box available at the following address on the same blade.

  This happens regardless of browser (tested Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and IE9/10) and also OS - Windows 7, Mac OSX 10.9, 10.10 and latest version of iOS

  Only the tab key works (Ive even tried with other keyboard shortcuts and it always comes back to TAB).

  I know that this feature is possible in Captivate 9. I have read and watched many tutorials online, it seems a very basic feature. I could be wrong.

  Indeed, your problem is related to the Enter key as a shortcut key, not to have multiple TEB and one absolutely validation button. Take a look at this article very old (you are not the first to ask about this):

  But here I explained to indicate to the user click in a next TEB, do not use input.

  I have a swf file created in Captivate 8. Bar reading a back and forward buttons, the progress bar and the table of contents. There is no interactivity in the slides with the exception of a few places with animated buttons. My client want users to be able to scroll the slides using the keyboard - space or entry or right/left arrow keys or page up/page down. I know I can get there using using the buttons with the keyboard shortcuts on each slide, but I can affect playback rear and front buttons bar keyboard shortcuts?

  If you use the custom navigation buttons, you can add shortcut keys, right and left the work arrow keys very well.

  I prefer using the form (you can do as invisible as the click boxes) because you can put them on the first slide and the time for the rest of the project, or put them on master slides. That will save time, do not have to copy and paste another interactive object for each slide.

  Have you looked at the disk with the disk management snap-in for the
  Microsoft Management Console to see how the disc was awarded?

  Yes, you can, but you must make sure that you install a version of Windows XP OEM. either the product key on the label will not work

  By default, you will need to individually click on the fields of the form and check the 'read only' and save it. From now on, it is not possible to select all together and make the changes.

• Join paths and adding a shortcut key

  I have a two part question.  I do a chart right now that needs a lot of paths to reach intersections, then the excess path needs to be cut.  I found this tutorial that explains what I'm doing, and I'm using hi method.

  First question, is there an easier way to do this without the need to move the paths in the layers window?

  Second question, I can assign a shortcut key for the item selection to delete in the layers window?  When I say remove selection, is that the little trash in the layers window.  As described in the tutorial, there you delting sections of path in the layers window, and I thought that it could go faster, if I could have a shortcut to the trash.

  I'm simulating a scenario where the user enters a numeric value, then press the key on the keyboard to the right-aligned number +. When I put the shortcut key in the text entry box for ' keypad + ' is not submit their response even when they correct entry in the text entry box.   I figured out how to do this in case someone tries to do the same. In the property of your box of text entry into the field of the correct entries, type a '+' at the end of the text input required; in the success field, select go to next slide. then set Numpad + your shortcut key. Then, when the user types the required entry and press the + key on the numeric keypad, they will go to the next page. Interestingly, the + does not appear when they enter, so it works perfectly.

  I work on code that performs XSD validation on an XML document in an Oracle database. I managed to get the validation running code, but Oracle complains about the way in which an element xs: DateTime is provided with the 'Z' at the end stating that it is the hour UTC. The error I get is;

After spending a bit of time to research, I could identify if I included some Oracle XDB namespace and specified the "xdb:SQLType =" TIMESTAMP WITH TIME ZONE "' for this item it will happen the XSD validation correctly, allowing for the marker of the UTC at the end unfortunately for me, it means I should get a XSD which is maintained on the international stage in many organizations changed to include the" specific annotations Oracle, which won't be easy. I was wondering if anyone knows anyway I can specify using code that the timestamp must understand the marker of the UTC, rather than having to get the XSD document changed

  It does not necessarily require someone (human) make the changes.

  For example, you could imagine including the amendment as part of the standard installation process and use something like this to do the job:

  As a result of other responses, the contours are generally used for debugging. The opera has some nice user CSS styles that use the outline property to show you where all the elements are in a document. If you try to know why something is not where you expected or size that you expected, add a few lines and see where are the elements appear. As already mentioned, the contours do not place. When you add a border, width/height of the total element in the document increases, but this does not happen with contour. Also you can set outlines on specific sides as borders; It's all or nothing.
