  Now I said that I have to use my insurance and pay the deductible.  The warranty is void because the key has fallen?  What type of warranty is it?  And I'm doing six weeks from now on if another key comes off?  And six weeks after that?

  I of course wouldn't be happy either. You must get this up a notch higher Verizon, they control the warranty process and they can certainly replace the device if they want to.

  Recently, I bought a blackberry curve 8520. The phone has worked very well and was one of the best phones I have ever used. But now, apparently not responding. The only way to get into my phone when turned on is to push the switch off button for about 3 seconds and then the phone will ask me to unlock. It is kind off annoying because I'm not used to using the phone like that. I don't know how it happened. The only reason that I can think of is that a few weeks ago I was pushed and I hit a wall with the phone in my pocket, it broke my g - key. The key fell to it simply stopped working. This habit of annoy me too, but I've learned to live with it. My question is now, blackberry will still repair the phone if I return? And if not, is it possible to fix it and also to repair the key without having to replace expensive parts?

• Adding a zone without entries in Captivate 4 text entry - only a shortcut key

  Can someone tell me if it is possible to add a text box entry without all the entries, but only a set shortcut key in place. For example, in the interactive project that I created, there ppt slides I would like to that the user can access through the same way they would if they visualize a true slide show. So on the last slide, I would that the user should be able to just press ESC to continue to the next slide in the project. I thought that I would be able to do this by simply adding an empty text input box to the slide (I did not add the correct entries) and then simply select the ESC key as a shortcut. But when I play the project, just by pressing the escape key generates the incorrect message. I work in version 4.

  If anyone has a work around, I would be very happy.

  Why not to add a click box, do not show captions and disable the mouse click, add the ESC shortcut key to it and give it as successful action to go to the next slide.

• Address book 'Read only' blackBerry Smartphones?

  really hoping that someone can help, because I'm afraid I'm losing the plot. Unfortunately I'm not the most tech savvy person. I got an iPhone, and then when that broke got a Curve 8520 as a working phone. One of the moments where I plugged into my laptop, copied all my contacts old iPhone, which was awesome.

  But last week I dropped my phone in the toilet, and long story short, I have a new (same model). When I tried to restore my settings where I backed up my curve v1, my address book copy as it is "read only". It is light grey writing.

  I have no idea what to do - I tried for days copy contacts on, but nothing helped. I can't say it it work because, in truth, they'll laugh right in my face.

  Help, please! I just want my contacts back!

  OK, unplugged the USB, look on your BlackBerry at the request of your Messages > Options > Email Reconcialation and turn off (Devil) Wireless reconcile.

• Entries calendar blackBerry Smartphones double after 8700 to 8300 devices

  I now of calendar on my Curve 8300 duplicate entries after making an initial synchronization with MS Outlook (2007 on Windows XP).  A set of entries came from the calendar Outlook and the other the old device (8700) - two sets are identical to each other. The Outlook calendar do not have this problem of duplicates.  And subsequent synchronizations do not duplicate on the device calendar entries generate.

  The 8700 was on TMobile and the new 8300 is on Verizon.   I used the wizard of BB Desktop Switch devices (version 4.7). There is even a record of e-mail with the address @tmo.blackberry.net on that, in addition to the e-mail folder @vzw.blackberry.net.   Configuration of e-mail does not display @tmo.blackberry.net (no way for me to remove the tmo folder).

  Is there a way to remove the duplicate on the device entries worldwide?   Or should I re-format the 8300 and then move all the data on the device via synchronization of Outlook?  If so, how can I reformat the 8300 (an exaggeration here?).

  I just realized I should have selected (Outlook to device) one-way synchronization (instead of two ways) when first syncing to the device after the switch of the device.     So I did a hard reset and does the one-way synchronization during the first synchronization.  It worked like a charm - that isn't duplicates!

  Hello. Is enybody please knows how to make a lock key on the curve?

  I mean not a key lock, as if the locking of the upper keyboard button is pressed. This, after pressing a button is always displayed a message, that the keys are locked and must unlock them.   ... I discovered, its potential affecting only the pocket computer sleep mode. To do this, I have to press the right top key on the top, not the upper left button (it's only for the locking of the keyboard is not complete as I described).

  If the laptop is in sleep mode, it continues to receive everything (phone calls, emails, sms, etc.) but the buttons are locked except the gren and Red call and menu buttons, and back buttons. • BlackBerry Smartphones Key lock

  I just upgraded my Storm to v.4.7.0.141 software and have noticed a really annoying problem with the locking function. Where previously, by pressing the lock at the top button to left of the phone would lock both the screen and four buttons and the bottom of the phone - I can now press the green call button, button disconnect red, "back" button and menu and they all unlock the phone allowing me access to the screen.

  Someone else has had this problem after this upgrade, and is there a solution to solve?

  When I missed an incoming call, the end button becomes irrational.  it becomes the call button.  When I press it, the call log screen appear.  I can't go out until the next time that a call arrives and I pick it up.  Then it disappears.

  With the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

  See if this helps solve the problem the next time this happens.

  Is there any solution for this?

  Go to calendar > Options > calendar view and Actions > keep Appontments.  I would be salaries set to 90 days.  You can set it to 'Forever', but you may experience problems with memory.  I hope this helps.  ~ ecm

  If you press the green button and you want to dial a number, the field is numeric press the square button (hash).

  I tried to access walkup internet connection the University of Florida with my Pearl Flip 8220.  I used to be able to connect to the portal and just connect with my UF login.  Now I get the message: "you try to open a secure connection, but the server certificate is not approved."  If I choose 'Continue', the message keeps popping up.  If I choose "Trusted certificate", I get a password prompt Store key.  I've never put a key Store password (or any other password) on my phone.  Y at - it a password for default that I can enter, or any other workaround that will get me past this prompt so I can access the portal again?

  Hi Deadjedi, go to options > security options > key stores, click on it and you will have to set a password. Click on save and then you will get an another popup that you will need to enter your password, and then click OK.
